All it eeds to be perfectly farmhouse is a screen door (with curliques is my personal favorite. lol) Your babies are too little right now to appreciate this great country upbringing, and might even resent it for a spell as teens, but there will be a time when all the life lessons will settle deep in their hearts. Despite a dysfunctional family, I can look back at my experiences in the country with thanksgiving and fondness.

I’m curious, what r those things sticking out on the side of he windows n there’s one farther down on the porch. Can’t figure for the life of me what there r n what purpose it fills if any. When we moved into our new house in Wisconsin in 1972 we had a sidelight by the front door like that. My first thought , when you said you were replacing the front door was, "I hope he gets rid of those sidelights!!" You didn't let me down - but then again, I knew you wouldn't. It looks beautiful!!! I enjoy watching your interaction with the kids even while you're working! Can't wait for the next episode!

Just curious- what are those slant openings along your walls for ? I renovate bungalows and have never seen that detail ( bat tubes?). It would be neat to install rope led in them for night porch lights if they are only decorative. You are doing a fine job and keeping with the simple utility and design of the bungalow !
