I'm no veteran but I have a few tips for ya. When you're doing missions in the campaign. Make sure to look for caves and resources along the walls of the map. Mining them by hand or with a plasma cutter will net you a large amount of money if you sell them to the right people. And it will help you get what you need faster. Secondly. If you can't afford to fight everything just know some creatures are just looking for a meal. And most don't care what it is. Even one of their own. Sometimes. It's safer and more cost efficient to kill one and run. Lastly when approaching the end of a mission be careful not to go to far past it as there's often a passage into the abyss where the hardest creatures spawn. Not only that but if you take enough damage over the abyss and you aren't prepared or quick. You will sink and there will be no recovering once you pass sub crush depth. The walls can't be repaired fast enough. And without abyss diving suits your crew won't last long either. And if the pressure doesn't get you. One of the big 3 will. Speaking from experience on that last one. Was just a simple mission. Kill a hammer head. Was going great till it went out into the abyss area. And I didn't realize. One good ram to our hull and it was over. We sank past 3000 meters and there was nothing we could do.

Organization is key, keep metals/materials in a separate container from your oxygen and welding tanks.
