If something as important as FEEDING A BABY is a taught behavior, I think we can give hygiene some room at the table. This is too precious. I don't usually advocate owning monkeys as pets ( because of the vile abusive owners who use them as TH-cam pets and the horrendous torture those poor monkeys have to endure for their so called owners to make a few pennies ) but yours seem so content , happy and seem well cared for. The fact that they groom you says alot about their life, their feelings towards you, it also says alot about you and your place in their "troop". Thank you for obviously showing these beautiful souls love and respect and for not debasing or humiliating them with God awful ridiculous outfits and ridiculous scenarios to get people to watch their channels. I feel SO BLESSED to be able to wake up each morning trying to figure out how to make their life better.. Before I die my goal is to have a perfect monkey biodome for year around foraging with a waterfall and lazy river for them with a glass walkway AROUND THE TOP ABOVE THE TREES that people can come visit them WITHOUT STRESSING THEM!! They are going to HAVE to have a way to make money to pay someone to do the things I do for them BUT I NEVER WANT THEM TO BE DISPLAYED IN TIGHT SCARY AREAS OR IN SITUATIONS THAT WHEN A FIGHT BREAKS OUT THEY HAVE NO WHERE TO RUN TO GET AWAY!!!! Just like us they have moody bad days and need SPACE to be left alone or just chill or it can get physical if they feel pestered or just need an outlet… I have stressed myself out trying to figure out HOW to provide for them and keep THEIR BEST INTEREST IN MY HEART!! It takes money to live but THE MONKEYS was never a way of getting it for me.. I NEVER considered breeding or selling!! If I did money would not be an issue because every day my phone rings trying to buy my babies.. I want to provide the BEST life for the REST of their life only!!! Omg my mom used to tell me that as a kid and I too used to look for the eyes on the back of her head. LOL it also gave e me nightmares. I never told my kids i had eyes on the back of my because because of it lol!!
The movements are so similar to ours, even in the way she brushes hair aside…I don’t typically like monkeys, but she seems attached to you and genuinely happy :)
@Saleem Frazer It’s grooming and it’s instincts are telling it to eat whatever it finds because in the wild it would find ticks, fleas, and other unwanted bugs off it’s relatives/higher ranked hierarchy members that it would typically groom. So the tongue action is probably because it’s getting ready to put the unwanted critters in it’s mouth. Or it could be like us humans when we stick our tongue out when we concentrate on something. 😆😆😆
At first I thought is was a little gross that monkeys eat dead skin flakes until I realized it serves more than one purpose: social interactions and hierarchy as well as cleanliness and getting rid of parasites. Seems they like the salty taste of skin :) And it's super cute watching these videos, somehow very relaxing haha! ~ Angel Bullock was my longtime favorite but I do think Abby and Bugs are just adorable ~~

When I was in Honduras, I had a capuchin monkey named Paco on my shoulders, playing and grooming my hair. It wasn't until his owner said, 'Paco, no! That's not yours! Stop trying to steal those gold beads from her hair,' that I realized no grooming was taking place. lol
