If you use the same design of the DSP I used in the video, cut 1 1/8” (2.75cm) off each side of the DSP and cut 5/8” (1.5cm) off, either top or bottom. I cut it off the bottom.

Your cards are always beautiful, but these are stunning. I also like the way you mount your mattes when you use the tear tape. It is so much easier to line things up without having to worry about ruining the card when the matte sticks in the wrong place. TYFS your talent!

I created one as I followed along with you. I don't think I will use the Dazzling Diamonds next time, as they really stick to the dome making it a bit cloudy. You demonstrated it very well as I never thought I could do this one! The last card is my favorite as it lets the "snow" shine much better without the reflective foil distracting from it. Beautiful! Thank you for the wonderful tutorial!

Oh, Jan, choosing a favorite is a “no brainer”~~ALL THREE ARE GORGEOUS!! I do like the Church scene more than the deer as I felt the deer didn’t stand out enough for me! (Maybe if the deer was die cut from Silver foil it would be more prominent??). Really appreciate the tip on getting the “church lights” to glow~~clever! A tad “putsy” but so worth it! TFS n’ HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Have a lovely day! :-)

DSP is my favorite
Hi Jan, Greetings from Saskatchewan Canada! I absolutely love your videos and watch them regularly. You take time and explain things so clearly which I greatly appreciate. I have made several snow globe cards and love your ideas on these. I have made a few using the church and trees where I put a clear sheet of acetate on the back of the globe after I put the Ice Glitter and Snowflake Sequins inside the globe. I then design the scene behind the acetate sheet on the background for the globe. This way glitter etc. doesn’t get stuck in the church and trees. I find that you can not tell that there is a sheet of acetate between the sprinkles and the scene. Anyway, just thought that I would pass that trick on! I am also wondering where you purchased your tweezers that you used at the beginning of the video....the ones that seem to be able to clamp shut and hold paper. You also used them once to crimp flower petals for a 3D look. I’d love to purchase these. Thanks Jan!

When you shake the Ice Stampin' Glitter back down to the bottom, it leaves the sky looking very "clean", so it depends which look you prefer. xx

Jan I have a suggestion for you that on the double sided papers that doesn't have a foil design I've taken and placed white cardstock into my scanner and made a copy of the opposite side so that way I get to used both sides. This is such a beautiful card!

When I used the church I just cut out little rectangles of yellow to make the windows. It seemed easier.

Jan Mansor Brown I love all the cards. I decided to case this card for a class. As you mentioned the church windows are a bit “fiddly”. I found if you use the spatula end of the take your pick tool or the spatula from a scan n cut the bits come off the plate much easier. I needed to make 16 churches for class. I got tired of cranking the Big Shot & purchased a Gemini. The Gemini cuts a deeper impression. None of the bits of the church windows came out of the die when flipped over. WOW! What a difference the Gemini made. I also used glue dots to adhere the church pieces. I “rolled” the glue dots and actually stretched them down the slim sides of the church. I purchased a set of tweezers from Amazon. I used a small curved end tweezer. They were a lifesaver on the first churches when the windows popped out of the die. Replacing them with these tweezers was easy. Who would have guessed you can “stretch” the glue dots? It didn’t take a lot of time & I didn’t have to fuss with blotting the Tombow. I didn’t have enough of the blue background DSP & had to use the silver side of the paper. All in all I think the class projects turned out well. Love all your videos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful tips and allowing us the benefit of learning from your boo boos!

Jan all I did was cut a piece of yellow same with as the churches and glued them to the white. They fit. No fussiness

Beautiful cards!! They seem like they aren't too easy to send in the postal, probably would need to box it or it would get crushed. Hand delivered would work the best. TFS!!

@@janbcards Personally,(and I am beginning to think I am the only one besides my friends who think this way lol) is that is I am going to make an amazing card such as this for a friend...I consider it a gift, so spending 5-10 on a gift that I know a friend will CHERISH for always, that is handmade on top of all...well, I don't think twice about putting it in a box with bubblewrap and sending it. When my friends call near tears because they feel soooo very special that I did THAT for THEM...well, priceless as they say LOL It is such a feeling of blessing every way. And this is the most gorgeous one of the Snow Globe dome cards I have seen absolutely, and I would pay a friend to make and send that one to me!! :D
@@watercolorseasons5321 Yes, it's certainly worth the extra effort. As I said in my response above, I was surprised at the minimal damage sustained in a padded envelope. Having said that, I'd never send one out like that to a recipient! xx
