This game was overrated and overhyped, the story was rushed and lackluster, along with there being far too many missed opportunities and wasted potential overall. I used to love Far Cry 3 myself but over the years I've come to reality that it wasn't even that good in comparison to some of the older games, with Far Cry Primal coming closest to how good some of the games before 3 were(with exception to the very first Far Cry at least), and even that game had a lot of missing potential too.

The first time I saw this trailer it got me all hyped-up. I even pre-ordered the Insane Edition. After all this time stumbling into the trailer and watching it again, I kind of want to replay it.

The story is totally different haha where are his brothers and the others? Whereas “Nicki” is asking where they found” this Doug guy, sounding like they don't know him. They clearly changed a lot between this trailer and the full game.

In the same way that teaser trailers for some films portray a different or non-relevant plot to the actual film. It's the best way of inviting people into a story without actually spoiling it, if that makes sense. Besides which, I remember this trailer coming out pretty close to the games release, so the story details would have been finished long beforehand.

@@faustin1022 I am pretty happy how it turned out. IMO, it made his character a lot more beleivable and how the game progressed, it made sense for him to go through all that madness. The ending part made even more sense by breaking the 4th wall and left it to the player to decide what was the moral of the story. Was it another Vaas or was it still Jason at the end? Only the player knows.

One time when I was 14 my stepfather handed me an LMG and I literally fell down from the weight. I would not do too good in this situation, especially with how Jason becomes Rambo 20 minutes in to the game.

It's fascinating how Ubisoft originally planned for Jason to be a military veteran, which is why he's so adept in CQC in this trailer. It makes sense since he doesn't have the Tatau on his arm during the guerilla combat montage. And even on an emotional level, Jason doesn't break down and start crying when his brother dies, like your average human, but he fights for his freedom in vengeful anger, like a soldier.
But the perfect fit of using Noisia's "Machine Gun" as the track is great; it obviously implies the emphasis of vigorous gunfire and combat, mixed with intense beats (like heartbeats), which relates to the action and adrenaline in this trailer. But, it also relates to Jason's career as a soldier (before Ubisoft changed his backstory).
This was an awesome trailer, and FC3 is still one of the best action/adventure story titles in gaming. Ubisoft was truly in their prime era (2003-2013) of game development 👌

I've played Far Cry 3 for 12 times and this game is still on my TOP list. I love every detail of it, every story, quest, situation. Everything is just perfect!

Weird they should do it this way when the UK story in the game was identical to the US. I guess this was made early, the story we know was then written but they didn't bother putting out a revised trailer for the UK.
Still a fantastic game though!
