I'm convinced, the first 2.5 mins could easily be the genesis of a new musical genre. It's like a vicious blend of South American Samba & West African High-Life. A close friend dropped a sample of this at an African wedding the crowd went wild.
@ostiaspedrin111 absolutely wrong in every single way possible. all digital audio is compressed in some way, with cuts mainly being made in the low end so that the overall volume can be pushed higher. the sound on a vinyl is totally uncompressed and also in analog, allowing for a wider range of frequencies than digital, and when run through a good stylus will always sound better than any digital audio, even more so with mr. scruff's tunes as he makes a lot of his sounds on analog machines.
I've listened to this song like six times now, and I'm just now starting to get Jacob Collier vibes from this. I can imagine him making something like this.
@RaynaDJ coolio (i said no trolling) "absolutely wrong in every way" that hurt meh T_T. but either way thanks for replying and telling me the facts... if only there where more people like you on youtube.....
@RaynaDJ ...... no comment. actually yes i have to say this b4 i completely lose it. why vinyl? thats low and old tech i can get much better bass by putting it trough adobe audition or audacity. or even buying an extremely high performance sub-woofer. vinyl seems out of date. but please feel free to correct me if im wrong just as long as you don't troll me.
I was on my phone trying to get kalimba and i accidentally pressed the button to look at the album and i was listening to all the songs and i was like, this ones good! and listen to this one! and my friends like, why don't u just get the whole album?!? and I'm like ya... maybe i should
if you compare generic 'bassline' or modern funky house to mr scruff's powerful bass, you will realise that they fall short in terms of wobblage compared to mr carthy's
Simply one of the most cool and funky bass lines I have ever heard. Scruff has really evolved into something quite amazing.

Ninja Tune is the name of the company that publishes Mr. Scruff’s music. Ninja Tuna is the name of the album that this song is from.
