Craziest Christmas experience…. I was cooking Christmas dinner in the kitchen (in Connecticut) and was talking on the phone to my mom (in California), when the line went dead and I thought she hung up on me. Turns out I had inadvertently stretched the phone cord across a hot stove burner and the phone cord was on fire on both ends. Then the pie meringue and rolls burned in the oven while I was trying to put the fire out. I had to borrow a friend’s phone so I could call mom back and be sure she didn’t think I hung up on her. 🤪

The first year my kids did not believe in Santa and they asked if I would start putting the presents under the tree before Christmas Eve. I would put the gifts under the tree as hubby and kids got in car we went to church and Santa showed up while we were out. I made sure they thought they could handle the pressure of the presents under the tree that long. To make sure all my surprises were safe I labeled my daughter’s gifts with my sons name and my son’s gifts with my daughters name. I wrote a little poem that explained my joke laminated it and cut it into a puzzle. They had to open the puzzle first and when they figured out they were shaking the wrong things the whole time my joy was complete. Needless to say I made it a tradition that became extremely complicated and ingenious. Love you and enjoy your sharing so much

My Dad had gotten out of the hospital, having Covid-19, a few days before Christmas last year (2020). So our family Christmas was postponed. We finally got together the Saturday before Easter...in April.😏 It was nice & warm in Kentucky. It felt strange celebrating Christmas in April, but it was neat that it coincided with Easter. So we celebrated the birth & death of Jesus all at once. 😊

Your card is so beautiful. Many, many years ago when I was 18 or 19 and making about 150-200/week and working as a nanny, I had ALL of my saved up money in my purse to buy Christmas presents for my family when I got home, I didn’t want to haul
Them on the airplane. My sister picked me up from the airport and we were driving down I-70 through the middle of Kansas. We stopped for gas and restroom. I left my purse and all that money in the bathroom stall. We went back but my purse was gone. I felt sick. The next day a trucker’s wife called me and said she had found my purse and was going to Fedex it to me. I thanked her and told her to take the money from my purse to ship it to me. She said oh honey, I could t possibly. I really was so very grateful and full of hope for the world. That was a really good Christmas. Thanks for making me remember that story. It was so long ago, but definitely, maybe not funny or crazy, but a good memory nonetheless. Merry happy holidays!

We go to church on Christmas Eve every year. We have a large family and usually fill several pews. We sing, we read the lessons, ect. And there's a quiet pause in between. One year we are all sitting in the pew, the priest just finished a prayer, then pauses......my Mother farts and it vibrates the whole length of the pew. She's mortified while the rest of us are trying our best not to laugh out loud. It makes me smile just typing it lol.

Love this beautiful shakercard ❤️ One christmas everybody was about 2 hours late for dinner because of a snowstorm…and thats bad cause here in Denmark we have the chistmasdinner at 6 or 7 pm. Then we all dance around the christmastree an then we open the gifts…so that was a looong waiting for my 3 boys. When everybody finally had arrived and we were ready to have dinner - my grandmother was standing so close with her back to a candlelight that her dress got in fire. She didn’t notice anything before my husbond thowed himself at her clapping her but to stop the fire. She did not understand what was going on, so she was screaming and spanking him in selfdefense and my dog was jumping and down barking in an attemt to stop them from what seems to be a fight. Everything was a complete caos…ooooh my…what an unforgetable evening 🤣🤣❤️

Hi Kristina. My craziest must have been when we were staying with my husbands family for Christmas. I was eight months pregnant and went into labour Christmas morning and had the first Christmas baby of the day. Christmas on the ward was very different. We called our daughter Carol. She is 40 now and at Christmas we always remember that special time albeit strange! Thank you for all your card ideas.

My funniest memory is when my Mum and Stepdad went to sit down at the table for Christmas dinner. My Mum was 5’2” and my Stepdad was 6’5” and well built. As he sat on the chair, the legs just flew from seat, he sat now on the floor, leaving just the top of his head and eyes peering over the table. There was a moment of stunned silence. Sniggering start but was shut down immediately by a serious humour failure. We shuffled into my daughter’s tiny kitchen and laughed as quietly as possible, tears rolling down our faces, 6 of us crammed into a tiny kitchen! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Such a great shaker card!! When I was 5, my little brother was 2. Christmas morning we woke up to find that he had opened all the presents under the tree before everyone got up. Since then, our family has opened presents on Christmas Eve. And the way that would work is my Dad would take us in the car after dinner to look at all the Christmas lights that were around the neighborhood, while my mom put all the presents under the tree. Then we would get home and opened our presents from Santa. It’s one of my favorite memories. Merry Christmas!

Beautiful!! Love full shaker cards💕 my funniest story involves one of my children, who after Xmas dinner wanted pumpkin pie.. we were waiting a bit to have dessert so after being told she had to wait we all went into the living room to sit down and watch a Xmas movie in our pjs… when we finally realized we were one child short we all got up to search for Linsy ( who was four at the time). We found her under the dining room table with the entire middle of the pie eaten with her hands and pumpkin smeared all over her face!! 😂

Thank you for sharing your talent! The card turned out beautiful! ❤️ Craziest experience: I had never cooked a turkey before, so I asked a friend of mine … she told me that she wrapped the turkey in a t-shirt (soaked in broth) and then kept the t-shirt moist throughout the cooking time. I had a clean t-shirt with a turkey screen printed on it (that my uncle made) … yup, you guessed it! I had a VERY festive turkey, as it had screen print on the top! HA! It was the moist turkey I’ve ever had though! My husband does the cooking of the turkeys now! 🤪

Isn't it funny how just seeing all the sparkly sequins brings a smile to your face? So much fun. I have a feeling that this Christmas is going to be my crazy story. Santa is bringing a cat to our family. My 7 year old has been waiting his whole life for this. So for Santa 🎅 to sneak a cat in this Christmas eve night is going to be interesting!!

My mom was pregnant with my youngest brother. She wanted to go to midnight mass, it had just stopped snowing. We had a blizzard earlier and there was huge mounds of snow. We had just walked in church when my mom said I’m in labor. We never even sat down. One of the ushers took my mom next door to the hospital. Cars blocked other cars in so the usher took my mom by the hand climbing over a foot+ of snow. She thought her water broke but it was from being wet from the snow. Another usher drove us home and brought my dad to the hospital. My brother was born around 6am Christmas morning.

I love your card!! Every year my Mom would sew us a Christmas outfit...she would say," here try this on it is for...." then we would open it up Christmas morning. Or she would have us wrap gift boxes, that she put a very tiny initial on, then after they were wrapped, she would put the tag on, one by one... She had us wrapping our own gifts & we never caught on till years later!!

Beautiful card! I don't think I will ever tire of a flat shaker card. I've made a few so far and my friends and family love them. One Christmas Eve, when I was very little, I peeked into the living room and saw Santa! I will swear to it to this day ( that was almost 60 years ago),it would not have been like my parents to dress up like Santa so it is still a mystery.

    Gorgeous card, loved the background!
One year we made a beautiful big fluffy pavlova ( an NZ Christmas tradition) when we went to retrieve it from the fridge our lovely, round pav was only a tiny thin crescent moon shape. Very confused we finally discovered our dog ( an Airedale terrier) looking very content with a sticky face - she had figured out how to open the fridge and couldn’t quite reach the last part. Fortunately, she only sampled the pav!

Love shaker cards, thanks Kristina. My funniest Christmas story, my youngest sister who was about 5 years old at the time, the rest of my sister were teens, so the baby girl received about 50 presents, after opening every gift, she looked at everyone wide eyed and said "where are the rest of my presents" of course we were all speechless after that.

Beautiful card Kristina! One Christmas my family will never forget is when we all got the stomach flu. We were visiting my daughter and her family. Don’t know how we picked up the flu but my daughter and one granddaughter were sick on the 22, next day my son in law and the other granddaughter came down with the flu ,on the 24 I got sick, and finally on Christmas Day my husband got sick. We never got to visit any other family but just stayed at my daughters home . We can laugh about it now but it sure was a memorable Christmas.

Love, Love this card. When I was in 4th grade my sister (3 years older) decided to open a present that was under the tree weeks before Christmas. We each received a can of Suave Hair Spray. WOW, we never used hair spray before so we thought we were the luckiest girls in the world. My Mom wrapped it with Christmas paper bringing the paper up and tied it with Christmas ribbon so it was easy to unwrapped and re-wrap it. We were so excited about this gift (keep in mind we didn't have a lot of money growing up) that we used some of the hair spray every day before school until Christmas. When it was time to open the gifts our cans were almost empty and our Mom couldn't figure out why they the cans felt so light........ We never confided in her until we were much older, she remembered that Christmas and told us she knew what we had done. We thought we were so sneaky but as it turned out we couldn't put too much past our parents without them knowing what was going on. She was a real sport and we miss her so much. Great memories growing up. We didn't have much money but we really didn't know that at the time. Merry Christmas Kristine. I Love your videos. Keep them coming!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this fabulously sparkly, but also fairly simple design! I love it and am definitely inspired!
My craziest holiday memory was probably the year that it was really warm here in Chicagoland. My cousins and I were playing football outside and I was proving my tomboy nature by tackling my cousin Scott who didn't expect me to do that (I was probably 13 and he was 15.) I have never strayed too far from that tomboy nature, although I have always enjoyed the softer side of crafting (with thread and fabric) over the years and I have always loved having long hair.

Kristina, this is the first full shaker card that I have absolutely loved! Very nicely done! I will have to try making one now!
My craziest Christmas was actually a New Year's Day dinner with all of my husband's family... his parents, brother, 4 sisters, spouses and children. I had a giant roast beef in the oven when the power went out. The power was out for 4 or 5 hours, and it gets dark here about 4 PM at that time of year. We lit candles and had a fire in the fireplace for both light and heat.
For Christmas this particular year I had asked for, and received, a microwave oven. It was a large one, available when they first came out, rather than the small ones now used mostly for reheating leftovers.
When the power finally came back on I had an instant lesson in cooking a giant roast of beef in a microwave. Veggies etc didn't take long on the stove, but the roast was less than half cooked at that point. Fortunately it all came together and we had a wonderful New Year's Day dinner with perfectly cooked roast beef, all the trimmings and the family. WHEW!!!!

I wasn't too sure about your watercolor background at first but once you got the sequin mix added in and put the snowflake on top, well I just love it. It is a very beautiful card! My craziest holiday memory was years ago. I was cutting up bread to dry it for dressing and I had put it in a plastice bowl as I was cutting it and not even thinking I put the bowl with the bread in the oven to dry it. My husband came home and said what is that awful smell and we opened the oven door and the plastic bowl had melted all over the place. Now I cut my bread and put it right on a metal baking sheet.

Hi Kristina, every year we would go to my husband's family for Christmas, which was a four-hour drive. That year they called for a lot of snow the day after Christmas. I wanted to leave and not be stuck on the interstate with a blizzard coming. My husband refused to leave and when we later got on the road, they closed the interstate, and we were stuck in a hotel eating Cracker Barrel for every meal for days. Needless to say, he learned his lesson being stuck in a hotel room with two small children is not as fun as it seems. Lol. Love the shaker card.

Michael was about 16 and Justin was 3 and Michael dressed up like Santa and went out the back door and rang the doorbell on the front door and I sent Justin to answer it! Michael had a small gift for him and he totally believed Santa made a special visit to our house!!! It was very sweet and so much fun!

I love the card!!! One of the craziest memories I have is the first Christmas we made turkey. I’m from Mexico and usually prepare Mexican dishes. Well, that day our turkey looked beautifully cooked and when we sliced it, it was awfully frozen in the inside!! We had bought tacos earlier in the day so we were eaten that while the turkey was back in the oven. At the end and after hours the turkey was done and we finally were able to try it, and the next day and the next day and… still two weeks later! We ate the thing in every posible inventions that our brain could think of. Since that day I HAVE NEVER EVER COOKED TURKEY AGAIN. It’s a no no for me, not for the cooking part but I don’t want to eat that thing for a whole month!! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣

Beautiful card. My craziest Christmas was spent with friends on their boat in a marina. It was a murder mystery with just the four of us my husband was a grumpy store Santa and he didn’t have to act, as he felt he was missing out on a traditional Christmas dinner at my sister’s. I was a woman in cognito . As I approached the boat, our hosts didn’t recognize this woman in a headscarf and dark glasses and were on their guard. Thankfully they recognized my voice. During the game, The host was running from the boat to his fifth-wheel parked in the car park a way away, trying to prepare dinner. He didn’t have cornstarch for the gravy so used cornmeal which meant the gravy had the texture of sawdust. The Brussels sprouts were brought to the boil and switched off immediately, which meant they were raw. When I tried to insert my fork, the sprout shot across the galley much to everyone’s hilarity. At our Boxing Day party the next day, the host was bragging about what a wonderful time we had, and such a delicious meal! It was years later he admitted what a disaster it had been, giving us the best laugh ever.

Beautiful card! Love your snowflake cards! My craziest memory was probably when I got lost as kid (age 12, mid 80's) in Ft. Lauderdale on Christmas Eve. My cousin and I went on a bike ride to get sand for my aunt's luminaires for their neighborhood, we went across the street on our bikes out of their street, to an construction/homesite. They had just moved to this new house. Well, I had a bucket full of sand and my uncle's bike so my cousin sent me back to her house, well I thought we went down and across. Then I got all turned around. My cousin got back to her house and everybody is like where is Jenn. She is here isn’t she I sent her back a while ago. My parents, grandparents, and her parents all start freaking out, then start searching the neighborhood. Meanwhile, I am looking for their house too, riding all around their neighborhood, yet in the opposite direction. All the houses were cookie-cutter, and I didn't know the address either. Then I found a man outside, watering his plants and I asked him to look for my aunt and uncle’s in the phonebook, he said they were not listed in the phonebook. He drove me around looking for their house, it was late, nearly midnight before we came upon a cop who then took me to my parents. It was a nightmare and to this day I still cannot get lost.

Stunning card Kristina! Almost reminds me of alcohol ink background with how flowy the inks are. I don’t celebrate Christmas at home, but my group of friends do a secret santa gift exchange every year. Last year i asked for a light box and my friends were so fascinated when i unwrapped the gifts that they wanted to see it in action - it then turned into a show and tell where we just looked through someone’s xray films. It’s ridiculous but so much fun

One of the funniest Christmas Day memories was when my large family sat down at the table to eat dinner, at the beautiful table my Mom had set and the prime rib wasn’t cooked. Such a beautiful card! I love your background! 💙💜 My funniest Christmas memory actually happened several times 😅 We always celebrate Christmas at my grandmas but my uncle always came later because he had to work. But my uncle had 3 dogs and we were already having appetizers at the coffee table we he came. But when he came in his 3 dogs always run inside first knowing there was food on the coffee table. In seconds the whole coffee table was a big mess and everything was eaten by the dogs. They were like some sort of tornado coming over the coffee table 😂 But that’s not all. Later when the food was gone, we noticed the biggest dog was missing and it was also very quiet which was very suspicious. Turned out that dog was in the kitchen standing on his hind legs calmly eating the food my father already had prepared for dinner from the kitchen counter. So when eating what was left from dinner we heard the smallest dog chewing on something, which was weird because there was nothing left. So when my uncle called the dog, he came happily wagging his tail with something in his mouth. Turned out he was chewing on Jesus from my grandmas nativity scene that was under the Christmas tree. My uncle had to buy her a new nativity scene for three times in total because this happened almost every year. 😂

Not sure if it’s crazy but it’s definitely the sweetest. So my younger brother hadn’t been home for any holiday for about 3 years. Mom was not happy about it at all. There I am sitting at my grandparent place listening to my mom gripping about her boy not going to be home for yet another Christmas. But what she didn’t know is that my half sister spilled the beans to me two days prior that he was coming home for Christmas. I’m trying not to let anyone know what’s about to happen in roughly 5 hours.
Mom hasn’t heard anything from my brother all morning so she calls him. Puts it on speaker so everyone can wish him a merry Christmas. I was on the other phone when mom hung up her ends good thing too, cause I heard “now boarding for Calgary flight….” Click!
Turkeys cooking, pie is done. The house smells so yummy. Table is set. Looks perfect except the missing person,
3 hours later… mom is on the couch next to her is my grandmother then uncle. Huge picture window and sliding door the my grandfather in his chair. My uncle sees a white truck driving really slow up the gravel road. But no one saw it stop. I was near the back room so I barely saw my brother walking past the trees and duck behind the pump house. I casually wander into the living room and sit on the loveseat like nothing is out of the ordinary.
Suddenly my grandmas big fat orange tabby rips through the kitchen into the porch and down to the main door. Door opens and my brothers head pops through the door. “ sure smells good in here grandma!”
My mom literally jumped over the coffee table and ran as fast as her crippled body could yelling MY BABY BOY OH MY BABY BOY. Mike never stood a chance. He just stood there and dealt with the over joyed, ugly happy tears and lack of oxygen due to being hugged half to death. Everyone else clued in that I knew about this day cause I just hung back before rescuing him from the brink of suffocation.
“let the man breathe! He’s turning redder that Rudolph’s nose.” Cough cough thanks grandpa. Why aren’t you excited to see me sis?” All eyes on me “eh I saw ya last year…plus I knew you were coming. Do you know how hard it is to keep that quiet from her? Merry Christmas mom!”

I don't have a crazy Christmas story that I can think of? On Thanksgiving one year, I was hanging from a step that broke as I was going down the steps. My then little cousin, put his back to mine and another little cousin helped get me to the ground otherwise I might have broken something. I am sure there is a crazy Christmas story I cant remember atm. For one of the best memories is asking my grandfather to make me a navity scene like he did for my mom because I didnt want to wait to get it. It ended up being the perfect time to ask because that ended up being our last Christmas together. The floor is plywood, the walls are birch sticks, the roof is plywood with pine cone tips put down to be a thatched roof. The pine cones and birch stems are from his yard. When he and grandma presented it, they said we are going after Christmas shopping Tomorrow and buy you the figures for it. They are mostly cream and gold with colored faces. Just beautiful and I proudly get the navity set out each year.

It was the first Christmas that we had an artificial tree. My dad always tied up the real trees but didn’t feel it was necessary with the artificial one. Enter a young kitten & red satin balls that really glowed in the dark. In the middle of the night there was a loud crash from the living room followed by pitiful cries from the kitten. He must have been batting the satin balls & his claws were firmly caught in the satin threads & now he had pulled the tree down on top of himself & couldn’t get untangled. It took quite some time, with him squirming the whole time, to extricate him. Next day, the tree was tied up!

Oops! I forgot to tell my Christmas story! We had moved from NC to DE and one year we had to travel back to visit family on Christmas Day! After opening gifts in our house on Christmas morning, we piled in the car for our 10 hour journey knowing we would have to spend the night along the way. Since there were no restaurants that would be open that day, i packed a picnic dinner of fried chicken, yeast rolls, potato salad, fresh fruit salad and Christmas cookies! It was a Christmas dinner we talked about for many years, but the next day we had the full traditional Christmas dinner shared with family!

When deep fryers first came out we decided frying a turkey for Thanksgiving would be fabulous! We tested it with a large chicken and it was sooo good. Thanksgiving came and we had a house full of people waiting to eat - and a black turkey that was mostly inedible. I’m still not sure what happened - it went from almost done to black in a split second.
We got rid of the deep fryer.

That can happen if you reused the chicken oil. Also, you may have needed a temperature adjustment. Deep fried Turkey is almost foolproof. Tfal has a countertop Turkey fryer with rotisserie. Check it out! It cooks in half the time 👍🏽

Mama & I have actually been celebrating "Christmas" with my brother & SIL on Boxing Day (December 26) for some years now. (Long story.) The craziest Boxing Day (in 2015) we have ever had was not funny at all. We went up to my brother & SIL's house as usual for the day. It was kind of balmy & overcast - not unusual for Texas, though. That afternoon, after we had opened presents, my brother took Mama & me to Barnes & Noble to get calendars - our regular tradition. On the way home, it was looking kind of stormier, and he said something to the effect of, "If you're going to storm, STORM!" (I kind of blame him for what followed, because of his saying that!) Well, after we got back to their house, we all ate dinner. In anticipation of the rain, I went ahead & packed up Mama's & my stuff in our van, that was parked out front. I forget at what point we started hearing tornado sirens, but they wailed for some time. My SIL had been watching the local weather when we were at B&N, & she mentioned when we got back that there was a tornado in the general area. After the power went out, we finally ended up in one of their closets - 4 adults & 2 rather large puppies. Thankfully for us, the tornado went right over the house! Several people, including in their neighborhood, weren't as lucky. My brother & SIL's house sustained rather minor damage, but the windshield on our van was smashed in. I determined I could still drive it, though, so Mama & I left. Because it was pitch dark by then & there was debris blocking certain areas, getting out to the main road was a challenge. Long story shorter, it took Mama & me about 7 hours to make the approximately 3-hour drive home! Partly due to suffering a damaged tire, that required a call to roadside assistance to get the spare put on, which took about an hour. My brother had told me to call when we got home, just to let them know we arrived OK. He called twice on my cell as we were driving back home, worried because they hadn't heard from us yet. (Since we had the spare on, & the roads were wet, I was only doing 45-50 mph the whole way home.) In the end, we wound up with 4 flat tires by the next morning. Thankfully, all but 1 were patchable, & we did have a warranty on the one we needed to replace, so we didn't have to pay full price for a new one. Oddly, despite the somewhat-white-knuckle drive home, overall I wasn't all that scared by the whole "adventure." I hope never to repeat it of course, though! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card, Kristina! I love all the sparkle against that background. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)

Gosh! I’m in love with this shaker card. It’s so magical and beautiful! 💙💜💙💜 No real crazy Christmas memories are coming to mind at the moment… other than my sister used to go under the tree when my parents weren’t around and carefully unwrap all her gifts to see what she was getting. Then she would follow the same crease lines of the wrapping paper very carefully and rewrap each one she opened. One year she went too far and did it with all of our gifts and my mom found out. Well on Christmas morning my sister got a big surprise and her presents were newly labeled with mine and my brother’s name. Needless to say she didn’t find that amusing and she got sneakier at finding out what her gifts were. 🤣😂 No … she never did learn to contain her curiosity. Thanks again for the great inspiration today. I bought some of these shaker fronts when they first came out as I thought they were brilliant. I haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, but I’m itching to add them to my weekend must do list! Happy Friday! 💜💙

I decided to try making Lasagna for the first time for Xmas dinner. Made all my layers and put it in the oven - so proud of myself. Went to take the finished product out of the oven - and tada - all the sauce had disappeared. All I had was pasta, meat and cheese looking very icky - it still remains one of the great mysteries as to where the sauce disappeared to. So the three of us had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Xmas dinner that year. I have never had the courage to try making lasagna again. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Stunning card. When I was in7th grade, Santa came to our front door. My mother opened it. I backed up down the hallway, thru the dinning room, and into the kitchen to the wall farthest from him. He kept walking toward me, slowly, and cracking his whip on the floor. He never said one word. I ended sliding down to the floor, crying. He walked over to me and gave me 3 presents and left. I was 13 and so upset that my family would do something like this to me. No one ever apologized. I think it might have been my brother-in-law (May he Rest In Peace) but he never said one word so I still don’t really know for sure. Very intimidating, hurtful, and mean. Wasn’t one bit funny. I wish I would have had the guts to stand my ground and pull his mask off but it wasn’t in me.

My craziest was probably when I learned about Santa. My brother and I had gotten a Sega that year for Christmas, it was a huge deal because we were super poor. My mom comes in later to watch us playing and asks how we like "the Sega that I, I mean Santa got you". Unfortunately I was only about 4, so it got ruined pretty early for me, and I got the threat every year to not tell the other kids and cousins🤣

I do not talk about this much since this happened right before my father died when I was 12....he died 6 weeks later but....my parents had been divorced for a long time but he came over that Christmas with gifts for us all...this is 1967...He had bought me a portable radio but had stuffed the box with an old shirt...I opened the box and pulled the old shirt out and said oh I love it, I was just 12 ....well it was just something to keep the radio from moving around....I then found the radio and felt pretty silly but I will always keep that memory....

I don't remember this but my mum has told me about it many times. When I was probably 2 or 3 I didn't like any men but my dad. For Christmas, a relative dressed as Santa and planned to come downstairs during the family holiday party. Apparently the pillow for his belly came down too low and he looked more like a Grinch Santa than Santa Claus. In my moment of terror, I ran straight to my grandpa (which made him feel so good). I'm sure it was hilarious!

I really, really love this card, but, Kristina, why are you peeling of the protection of the shakerfoil so early, when you use the second method, only to lay it on the now unprotected side? You could have left it on whilst sticking down the flaps and preparing the shaker just until you put it on the card base or sticking on a sentiment.

My craziest holiday experience happened about 14 years ago. We just completed Christmas morning present opening at one Grandparent’s house and we (my 5 kids and I…my husband was in a different car) were on our way to the other set of grandparents for their Christmas present opening festivities. As we were driving, one of my kids said, “What is that guy doing?” I looked at the field next to us and saw a guy checking his gun to see if it was loaded. He was all dressed in black and wearing a hoodie. Knowing there was a 7-11 type store across the street, I drove to a nearby building and parked behind it and called 911. Sure enough, the man crossed the street and went into the store. Suddenly, their were police cars everywhere and all guns pointed at the store. They were able to catch the guy and no one was hurt! We talk about this “Christmas bandit” (our name for him) every year as we pass that field.
