Thanks! I was about to rush out and buy a new printer before I found your video. All I had to do was leave my Office Jet 4650 unplugged for about a minute and it started working again.
Dude, my printer just went down - I had loads of docs to print before I go on holiday - proper stress. Watched your video and held power button down when everything was unplugged, then plugged it back in and started working. THANK YOU BROTHER!!!!!

Helping Hermit - Thank you so much! I unplugged the power and held the power button down for 30 seconds. Plugged the printer back in and it's wroking. Wish HP support could have been as helpful as you. Would have saved a trip to Best Buy trying other power cords. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for a very informative video. My HP 4635 has no brick. and the LED light inside at the internal power supply lights up when plugged. BUT the printer will turn on whether I press the power button or hold it for a long time.
Isn't there a way to hold 2 buttons at the same time until it comes on? :)

Well, I'm sad to report that the problem is back. But still thanks for the help. It really did work, but I unplugged the printer to move it and I couldn't get it to start again. Any suggestions on what had happened? I'm looking into getting a new non-polarized cord.@@HelpingHermit
I've gotten it to come on again. It seems to be a problem either with the cord or the cord socket connection on the printer. Thanks again!
Resetting Power module worked on my MFP M281fwd, 3 year old color laser, plugged into its own outlet no more power strip. Thank you!

My HP died after a storm and the power went out. I didn't hear you address that issue. It was on a power surge strip and other items were too but the printer was the only 1 that died. Any chance it can be saved?
I'm pretty sure I'm going through the same thing as you. My printer worked before the storm came that knocked the power out from the house, for over a day. I hope somebody answers this!

My HP Officeject 4650 doesn't let me open it up to change the ink cartridge. When I try to open to replace the ink, it says "the ink cartridge access door is open. please close it to continue". I'm stuck here. Help!
