Lowrider Roll Models: Miguel Alatorre - Episode 2

In this episode of Lowrider Roll Models, we meet Miguel Alatorre--a veteran combat engineer having served 5 tours of duty in the U.S. Army and a member of Klique Car Club in San Diego. He shares how he came to be in possession of his 1959 Chevrolet Impala and his love for cruising the streets of San Diego en route to Chicano Park. Miguel also describes his harrowing experience on the battlefield, how lowrider culture helped him find himself and rekindle time lost with loved ones. These days, he's channeling his efforts to serve his fellow servicemen by defining new ways for how they can engage with their local community via the local VFW. Miguel is a shining example of what it means to be a true Lowrider Roll Model.

"The problems that were bugging me weren't there because I didn't have the time to think about it." I feel that on an emotional level. I got ETS'd in 2017 and entered a relationship, I became toxic and I pushed her away after 3 years year. I'm in therapy now and found a new hobby in lowrider bikes. Building a bike is my escape from all the trauma I went through, and I feel like a little kid when I get new parts. Keep rocking SSG.

Great story my father started Las Estrellas out of San Francisco California. He was the first guy in a club to put hydraulics on lowriders late 1970s in San Francisco. Robert who was also the VP of Las Estrellas started the first hydraulic shop called Roberts hydraulics in San Francisco its now called Roberts tires and wheels.
