In Pacific Electric days, it was four-tracks as far south as Watts, with local trains on the outer two. I believe there always was some freight through that section.
You can see some abandoned tracks on the A line ROW, too. I'm still curious to know exactly how the newly approved Southeast Gateway line is going to conbect to the A line Slauson station. Might it be aerial over the A line Slauson station?

I didn't realize there were 2 freight tracks beside the 2 LRT tracks. The A line ROW going towards LB is much wider than I thought. Thanks.
