All three of these guys actually share lead singer duties. If you want to see them reach shine, check out their cover of "Praise You", the Fatboy Slim cover.
Great reaction! Check out "Bongo Bong" by the Big push. It's absolutely incredible and also a live recording. But really you can't go wrong with any of their songs.
This is a cover of a Sting song. The Big Push has tons of great videos (if you do I shot the Sheriff cover w/them busking make sure it's the one w/Ren wearing red suspenders. The others filmed at the same time (War Pigs & Paint it Black are also great). Romain and Gorran are also great singers. Glen, their drummer, not shown here, also talented. Also have cool original content. They broke up when Ren went to Canada for treatment, but are open to getting back together.
Finally! Obviously Ren is in his own class but people are sleeping on The Big Push! They are all amazing musicians and singers. I’d go down that rabbit hole. Covers and originals. Don’t even have to request a certain song…do all of them BUT…originals: Sweet Little Lady, Why My Woman, Icarus, All My Heroes, Dignity, covers: Praise You, What Kind Of Woman Is This, Wade in the Water, I Shot the Sheriff to get you started 😊
Remember where you have a choice, pick the thumbnail shwing him wearing red suspenders. The recording in those are the best for sound. All are live. Notice the size of the crowds they draw.
Sick Boi drops 13th oct. Money Game 3 drops 12th. Get his album preordered mate. Currently beating The Stones and Ed Sheeran. For an independant its awesome!! He kep prices low so more people could afford it as well!!
Another reason for you to like this........the guy on the back of the sofa is Romain and he's French! The song is a cover of The Police and was written by Sting. Check out the videos of The Big Push busking try I shot the sheriff or War pigs or Paint it black.
Yeah! Some songs, you can hear Romain's accent really clearly in his singing - interestingly, I barely notice it on Swan Song though! (But: Sting did Englishman in his solo career, after The Police broke up)
The Big Push! LOTS of great live covers! My favorite: Bongo Bong filmed on his and Romain's rooftop flat same as the video Murderer. Go to the right medley The Big Push - I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop. Many others!
It's a great performance of Sting's classic song about the English eccentric Quentin Crisp. The Big Push did a lot of covers, very well, they were primarily a busking band, but they did original stuff too, though their covers usually have a pretty original take too. But this isn't baby Ren, check out Trick The Fox, but also if you scroll right back to the oldest video on his channel you will find Street Lights which he wrote age 15, performed at 20.
This is literally my favorite band now. Hate they broke up but it was only because he was moving to Canada. He's said on his streams he's open to reuniting if they are. They are all best friends. Romain and Ren were flat mates. Please please do more. ALL of them are super talented. They take turns singing and switch up whose playing bass and guitar.
Oh yes! I can't wait to see you reacting to the Big Push busking on the streets of Brighton! And you will see and hear even more sides of Ren and his vocals and discover that each member of this band is super talented!! Wit The Big Push you will find a lot of amazing songs - whether it's covers or originals, they are all fantastic!
Love your enthusiasm. This is a favorite of mine along with Bongo Bong. If you want to see young Ren, play It’s Alright from 7 years ago. It is deep on REN’s video list.
Yay!!! You've gone further down the rabbit hole into The Big Push phase....and so many of us were mad that we didn't know about them before they broke up ( amicably I'll add)
This is a cover of Sting's song and The Big Push did it justice and made it their own. Love your reactions! They also did an amazing cover of "Bongo Bong" by Manu Chao you might want to check out. They do have some of their own songs but do amazing covers as well!
Great reaction! I'm tellling you here because it wasn't apparent to me (correct me if I'm wrong!) that weren't aware that this is a _cover_ of a very successful, even famous song by The Police (lead singer : Sting) so yes, this song has had a very long radio play lifetime ;)
Hi, great reaction, so many great The big songs. , please check out “ I shot the sheriff/Road to Zion / Hip hop” or “ War pigs” for something Black Sabbath ❤
Great reaction!! I am enjoying your enthusiasm and excitement! “Baby Ren” is when he was with the band, “Trick The Fox”, he has several songs from the period and just as good then. Also, his first full album, “Freckled Angels” has great songs. Ren was gifted with music since then, over a decade ago.
Check out his earlier band from his college days Trick the Fox. He’s even more baby faced but still as talented. That was just before he started to get sick.
great reaction. Gorran Kendall and Romain Axisa both put out original music and take lead on songs or all 3 of them sometimes share lead vocals. You should check out their mash up of These Boots were made for walking/Can't get no Satisfaction/Everybody needs somebody. Their cover of Bongo Bong is fantastic too.
Everyone is going to recommend to you a whole lot of cover songs by The Big Push. Mostly their busking stuff. And that's what most reactors react to. They rarely get around to original songs by The Big Push. After you've watched their cover of Bongo Bong, which you should absolutely check out next, please check out their original content. The official video for Watch Out is an excellent one to start out with. Ren is going to be recording some unreleased songs from The Big Push for his upcoming guitar-based album rolling out after Sick Boi.
Anything from this band is excellent Their harmonies are killer ,, all three can sing ,, my favorite song by them is Praise You but their live street performance are killer too hopefully they will occasionally reunite from time to time when Ren gets his treatment finished
This is such a beautiful and respectful cover I just love it! If you like live check out the live version of Genesis It is my favourite! The Big push are amazing live busking video’s, original and cover tracks!
Ren’s Dad commented on another reactor’s video so I bumped over to his TH-cam channel, (Martin Gill), & there is a video of him playing & wearing a hat similar to Ren’s. You mentioning the hat just reminded me of that.
One of my favourites from the Big Push! If you haven't done already, please do Bongo Bong (i think thats what its called) its brilliant! Loved your reaction btw ❤
@Elliot Enjoyed watching you enjoy this! But so sorry you hadn't found TBP yet, a little shocked too. TBP was my first intro to Ren a few years ago. It was "Wade By the Water", and wow! The rabbit hole has many tunnels, all good.
Enjoy your reactions. Check out the big push busking in Brighton. Rolling Stones paint it black cover is amazing.Black Sabbath War pigs cover is also brilliant. Their original songs are also worth a play. You've got so much to look forward to. Enjoy. All the best from Scotland.
@elliotquinnr I also wanted to let you know that on October 12th Ren is releasing his next video - Money Game Part 3. It might be good to do reactions to Money Game Part 1 and 2 prior to that. And if you do, just know that Part 2 has 2 different videos. One "live" the is incomplete and very poor quality audio. Stick to the official lyric video for Money Game Part 2 and you'll be good. Looking forward to your reactions to those and songs like "Crucify Your Culture" which was inspired by Rage Against The Machine, "Fire" which sounds like a Michael Jackson song and any of Ren's older stuff such as "Humble" "Ocean". "Diazepam" "Hold On" and Love Music 1, 2 and 3. As well as some of his earlier hip hop like "Genesis"(avoid the acoustic version until you've seen the official video first), "Losing it" and "The Hunger". You can't go wrong with a single one of those and if you already thought Ren had variety, listening to all of those songs will blow you mind as he's so much more versatile than you can know so this point in time.
They didn't tour. Ren was too unpredictably unwell for them to book shows since there was a decent chance they'd have to cancel. Pretty sure that's why Ren (solo, with collaborators, and with TBP) did so much busking; and it's why Ren cherished his busking performanes so much/has so many videos of his busking performances on his (and TBP's) channel. It was the performing he could *do.* I will throw my voice behind those saying WATCH TBP WADE IN THE WATER/NINA SIMONE/TROUBLE SO HARD. Another great Big Push video to get a sense of why Ren chose THESE GUYS to pour his energy into, is "These Boots/Satisfaction/Everybody.". Check out The Big Push's "Swan Song" for a genre you won't hear anywhere else in Ren's catalogue. I mean, OBVIOUSLY, watch the Red Suspenders Ren version of TBP doing "I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion/Hip Hop" - there's a VERY good reason why you'll see it suggested over and iver and over (and over). But Ren's performance on that one is SO ELECTRIC it's easy for Big Push "first timers" to sort-of miss the other guys' contributions, and make embarassing comments partway through, as though Romain/Gorran/Glen are random jam session musicians who are just lucky to have Ren let them play with him. In fact, they all respect each other super highly as musicians and songwriters, and shared lead guitar/lead vocal roles amongst them for good reason. (yeah, most Ren fans will still say Ren is the undoubted superstar of the bunch but you HAVE to figure that someone as mibd-blowingly talented as Ren admires & respects those guys for a reason).
Ren is my favourite artist of all time and The Big Push are insane! Il stick a list of Ren/TBP songs below to check out. They’re amazing! I'm 44 minutes too late. Was going to recommend this!
Don't forget Swan Song, it's amazing!
@@bevc5349 I always hold that for later. A nice little dessert after the main course
I believe Praise You might be my favourite cover they have done
I agree Praise You is awesome all three is excellent in it ,,, and I love the Sweet Little Lady - Live Acoustic is awesome to ,,
If you want to see really young REN checkout Trick The Fox his band when he was in college before he got sick
Great reaction! Check out "Bongo Bong" by the Big push. It's absolutely incredible and also a live recording. But really you can't go wrong with any of their songs.
Also my favourite, would love a reaction :)
Yes yes ...more busking with the BIG PUSH
