My Mr Heater Big Buddy has a label on the left tank door that shows recommended hose uses. The Big Buddy has a quick connect coupler option that is used with a regulator at the tank (F271803) for low pressure use. If you use the filter that attaches to the unit 's regulator you will be running high pressure (F273702) through the hose. I do not believe the Buddy Heater has the quick connect coupler so connecting high pressure hose to the unit regulator is your only option. I believe their website states some hoses contain plasticizers rather than pesticides which is for hose flexibility. 20lb tanks should be turned on slowly since regulators are equipped with a slam valve that is intended to drop pressure in case of a hose rupture which will then affect operation. To reset, shut down all knobs and close the tank for a couple minutes, then open tank slowly. This applies to your BBQ as well. Hope this helped more than confuse.
Mr Heater does also sell a 12ft hose rated for High pressure. Part # F272702. I use it everyday without a filter and it works perfectly fine with no issues.
"I had a propane heater, but it burns too quickly. After discovering the Chinese portable diesel heater, I have been using it for several years now and it has proven to be safer, more reliable, and more efficient over time." cost me less than $100 shipped from ebay, you can used any kind of fuel even waste oil

We’ve been looking into the diesel heaters as well and will be getting one in the future.
A little disappointed in this video...no Julie. ☹
She is the main attraction to the show. 😉
