For beginner like me i use thunder spear with evasive moves once you go near their head they are distracted. When the titan is distracted you can shoot the nape wide open. But if you shoot the thunder spear too close to the nape it will give you an explosive knockback.

- shoot two hooks to your sides in a straight line - your character must be on the ground - hold gas and reel out - slash with blades normally (or use Stock special ability if playing on thunderspears, must select it as your skill)
Finally a TS video that plays it right! As a blades main and awful APG/AHSS player, I'm jealous of your timing with the manual detonation.
