    I think you had me at the beginning witht the diablo reference. I had it pledged to get the huge trilogy with all but now im realizing its just a want and not a need. The concept is almost there to what i thought it was and how it played out, but it's Def more than hassle for me personally, especially since my thoughts were to have my kids play it with me. Well thanks for helping my decision to back out. I appreciate the info!

    Great game! There’s a lot I really really like about this one. I didn’t end up keeping it, but I played a good 10 games and would play it if asked any time.

    This game looks so good, but i think it would definitely be better with a full campaign mose so you could keep your levels

    Definately interested in backing this. Wish there was a campaign system to it.

    Thanks for the great video, this game looks really interesting but also a definite pass for me - lack of time and space to get into a heavy solo game for the next few years (and it definitely looks most interesting at solo).

    I have never been able to get into this kind of campaign solo games, I'm yet to finish a solo session of Mage Knight. I really want to enjoy these games, but it's also important to remember that we don't have to like every genre.

    Looks interesting for my solo experience, but guys, why so much stuff there, gimme a bit less fiddling and organising 😢
    Thanks for the review!

    This was the game that I regret the most for not backing at when it was not an SFG IP. But, then again, I do not think that I really regret it, because I do not think I would ever play it.

    I honestly really enjoyed the playthroughs we did. I’m happy to be backing the new stuff.
    I know they were also surface level scenarios so I was glad you acknowledged that it would be truly hard to score without playing more of it.
    I think the real enjoyment will come in
    Some of those longer scenarios where you can progress much farther than we were ever able to.
    The content is a double edged sword like you said. I love the volume of it, that’s part of what draws me to it. but the game does need a storage solution. I think the whole community agrees on that.
    A ton of time will be saved during setup and finding things need during play as we get more familiar with the game though. Which will also mean we know
    How to organize things for frequency of use. Similar to how quick we got throughout Oathsworn or any other game really.
    This game I think will lane around an 8.5 for me most likely with the limited info and experience I have with it so far.
    I really appreciate that unlike so many of
    The games we play recently, this one isn’t a 6 month campaign commitment. It definitely fills a very nice spot on a shelf for a fun adventure you can pull out without needing it to carry into multiple weeks or months. So many of those types of 1 shot games are euros or deck builders or something. A lot less options are available for this adventure style single scenario type gameplay.
    The game does have some overarching themes that carry through multiple sessions though depending on the scenarios.
    I would recommend this to other people with the caveat that only if they like a lot of content and have space to play it.
    I didn’t feel like dying was very punishing which was nice. The first time we both died we felt it, but after that we were like ‘oops’ I died… ANYWAY 😅

    Probably not for me, but your final thoughts were clearly stated. Thanks!

    Gosh, sometimes it’s difficult for me to get behind a game where there’s a chance everyone loses. That being said, I think the customization/upgrading of your character aspect makes it feel like an RPG, which I like.

    Looks interesting. Too much stuff and too many components for me.

    The only other game I can think of off the top of my head that has gear sets is Tiny Epic Dungeons

    I really want to love this game, but... i find: 1) Combat boring, nothing special about the monsters. 2) Gaar Tokens seems like a band aid, i hate them. 3) I don't like the frost bite machanic, seems more of a headache than anything else? I also don't find the game that complex after watching roughly 5 hours of gameplay, it seems quite bland? As i say, i really want to like the game, and i don't "Hate it" just was hoping for more for a game that's going to cost over £500 all-in. I own Mage Knight and have recently pledged for Heroes of might and magic, so perhaps i don't need another "Explore this, kill that" type of game lol.

      Can you tell me a bit more about mage knight? Comparable to this or way better?

    Unfortunately, I bounced off of Euthia a bit. It is a decent enough game, but I just could not quite get into it. I think I have unreasonably high expectations for the "Epic Fantasy" genre of board game.

    Nothing epic about small scenarios using 30% of content. Fantastic hero progression though. I wish theyd bring it all together, add PvP, instead of most points wins.

    So much stuff and yet no meaning.
    You could invent your own story but even then it’s not a living, reactive game world.
    Give me the constraints of One deck dungeon any day.

    Too complex and deep for you; why do people complain about depth.

    • @benh4390
      @benh4390 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mostly due to time available, i think. It's a bit like price is right rules - going as complex as you can handle is a positive. When it tips over into 'too complex' for an individual then the game just doesn't get played.

    • @GameBrigade

      Did you get that impression that I felt it was to complex? Where did you get that notion?

    • @benh4390
      @benh4390 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GameBrigade not sure about OP but I got that impression abit in the final thoughts section. Fiddly maybe a better description than complicated.

    • @GameBrigade
      @GameBrigade  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@benh4390 the game iteslf is very simple, there are not very many rule complexity. I don't feel like I expressed myself in that manner, but there is a lot of bloat here for better or worse.
