She does get a lot of attention, especially from dark haired Latino and Arabic societies. But the real truth started emerging online. @@suealder3458 I really do agree, ABBA were fantastic and I had all their records and acres of their posters, magazines etc from the seventies. (Hidden from my friends-ABBA weren't cool in my circles, too pop,!!) but to me Agnetha is the woman I would walk to Sweden for even now, dodgy hip and all, just to lay a single rose at her feet. I'm not arguing about who's better looking, just stating a fact, the others out there just haven't grasped it yet.
I came through the 60s with hundreds of bands and when ABBA broke out in the 70s it was as storm of new sounds that others did not have. And through the years ABBA songs have been playing ever since. And today 40 years later with this album as a comeback is incredible. The album is top level engineering and music skills are all poured into this one album. And what a masterpiece of workmanship by all four ABBA members. All can I say is WOW and thank you for the music.
What a group !! You can watch them over and over again and never get enough. Such talent and beauty. Even though I'm "Minnesotan" it makes me proud of my Swedish heritage. I can still remember my grandma speaking Swedish.

But not for long , just 3 years . Since 1981 Ceausescu paranoia hit the highest level and all was over.

As a child Frida came home to an empty home. it Her grandmother was always working. Frida had a lost childhood. Singing was her escape.
She was happiest during the summer when her grandmother and Frida visited her relatives in Norway. Frida loved her aunt Olivia. Olivia was keen to Frida's loneliness and made sure Frida's summer visits were special.
Frida's life in total is impressive.

- incredible drive, work ethic
- 1960's married, two children, separated/divorced
- 1967 break through after 10+ years busting butt on stage
-1969 Met and fell in love with Benny.
- 1972 ABBA
- post ABBA. Hugely successful in her business and investments
- 1992 Became a Princess
- 1990's founded her childrens charity -- Camping and learning about nature. Giving children the opportunity to meet other children, play games, swim, learn about nature. Giving children the opportunity to be listened too and feel secure, etc.... It is what Frida never had in her childhood.
- 1996 critically acclaimed album
- late 90's: lost her Prince husband to cancer. He was 49. He adored her. She then lost her daughter shortly after her husband died. Her daughter was killed in a car crash in NY, USA. Her daughter was 30.
- Jon Lord of Deep Purple fame became very close to Frida and helped Frida through the loss of her husband and daughter.
- she has lived in Switzerland for 34 + years.
- she is always listed in Swiss magazine as one of the wealthiest people in Switzerland.
- in 2014, she launched a ski wear company. One of her many businesses concerns that she has been involved with since the 1980's.
Some years ago, Bjorn mentioned -- of the four of us , Frida's life story has been remarkable. A remarkable rages to riches story.

@@suealder3458 I really do agree, ABBA were fantastic and I had all their records and acres of their posters, magazines etc from the seventies. (Hidden from my friends-ABBA weren't cool in my circles, too pop,!!) but to me Agnetha is the woman I would walk to Sweden for even now, dodgy hip and all, just to lay a single rose at her feet. I'm not arguing about who's better looking, just stating a fact, the others out there just haven't grasped it yet.

I came through the 60s with hundreds of bands and when ABBA broke out in the 70s it was as storm of new sounds that others did not have. And through the years ABBA songs have been playing ever since. And today 40 years later with this album as a comeback is incredible. The album is top level engineering and music skills are all poured into this one album. And what a masterpiece of workmanship by all four ABBA members. All can I say is WOW and thank you for the music.
What a group !! You can watch them over and over again and never get enough. Such talent and beauty. Even though I'm "Minnesotan" it makes me proud of my Swedish heritage. I can still remember my grandma speaking Swedish.

I'm a Wisconsinite and I'm of Swedish descent too. My grandma Dahl Erickson Johnson spoke Swedish too. She taught me some numbers but unfortunately I've forgotten the numbers.
Another Minnesota Swede here. My grandparents, Axel and Elin Backman came from Sweden. Love ABBA.

Ha ! You was so lucky my friend . We in Romania did not have such a chance that time . I was a 10 years old boy in 1976 and we strugle to tune our low quality radios to Radio Free Europe but the signal was so intense jammed by the comunists . We barly hear fragments of songs . But anyway the Dancing Quen tsunami hit even in our country and broke the censorship wall . Finally after two year they start to brodcast ABBA from time to time on national TV. But not for long , just 3 years . Since 1981 Ceausescu paranoia hit the highest level and all was over.
