The subs are really important. My beef with some subs is those who instead of saying "calm down" write "clam down." My other peeve is "noddle" for noodle. Is this head food. Sorry, to vent here because the subs are extremely good. I have lived in the US for 40 years, but I still prefer my natal UK English. No one can beat the subtlety of UK humor. I have a Ph. D in humour studies (I am writing in American for you, but my computer hates me. Cheers.

She married emperor thinking he is the one that saved her ect but now as mo wan she heard from general the truth.... the emperor based on 14 episodes... he lost loved mo xin. Tonight ill see 15 n 16. No doubt both love general. But the former empress wants revenge for both hers and bubs death. She think emperor made her miscarry... im picking her bitchy sister did it all in league with her mum
I kept saying why in this episode and had to look up the summary to get an understanding of what was happening. So basically the older sister is an empress she was betrayed by someone and ends up with a miscarriage, her sister shows up (why), a beam of light comes out and the older sister(empress) soul gets transferred to the younger sister (okay, why?) the now empress escapes the castle to find the truth but gets captured and then falls down a cliff and loses her memory. She will most likely end up with this prince who saved her, but like I thought “why?” Wouldn’t it have been better for the little sister to remain in her body and find out what happened to her older sister and end up meeting and falling for the prince. I just don’t understand the purpose of having them switch souls if she just ends up losing her memory, unless the little sister was the culprit and this is a karma strikes back kind of situation.
You have to watch fantasy drama with a total suspension of disbelief; otherwise, the script writers could not complete their job. I love the scenery, the costumes, the actors. It is a good drama to watch. Maybe the script would be more believable, and we would love the sister more. Just saying here.
I'm literally in love with this drama. Because of this I can't watch anything else and also why haven't no one talked about OST. I really love the OST, especially the ending song. Haha I can't even count how many times I have listened the ending song😂 I have watched until episode 14 and It's getting more and more tense and serious. Haha I can't sleep because all day long I'm thinking about this drama. Also aghhh Chen Zhe Yuan is again killing my heart. His voice is as deep as ocean and aghh these fighting skills❤️ Really recommend to watch this drama.
I hope they will explain the lights which transfer the empress' consciousness to her sister. Fighting scenes are excellent, with blood splatters and good fight choreography. Wished they had swapped the actresses playing Mo Xin and Mo Wan.
If it is CGI, I am so thankful. I just shuddered when the horse's front legs were severed. I still have that picture in my mind. I almost did not watch anymore. Guess it is the animal lover in me.

This script / storyline is not credible. The spirit of the Empress entered into the body of her sister. Yet, her sister (while having the spirit & memory of the Empress, she later recovered her memory ) entered into a love relationship with the hero / male lead - the brother of the Emperor. Also, it was never explained why the younger sister of the Empress want to visit the Empress in the beginning. Anyway, watch this TVseries if you have nothing better to watch. Besides the male lead (the general, brother of the Emperor), the lead actress is not that good looking or a match to him.
The FL is a little noisy for an empress who just had a miscarriage but at least she seems intelligent? Hopefully she won't become a burdensome damsel in distress as this series progresses.
There's no typical way to grieve and I wish everyone would rethink every single time they're going to post something urging women to be quiet. Grief isn't always silent. Sometimes it's fierce and loud and layered with built personas.
Why I love chinese drama? It is because of their costumes and great acting ❤
