It's beautiful that you cover such pure, yet obscure creations. Without people like you spreading this knowledge it would likely be lost forever in a few generations time.

Hey, Clint, I really think you should review Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon for MS-DOS. You touched on it in your review of Sid Meier's Civilization, but I think it deserves a full review or at least a quick review. Last year was the 25th anniversary of its release.

Your DOS reviews are awesome! It helps me discover older titles that I never got to play in the 80s and 90s. I love playing DOS Games on my Nintendo Wii with DOSBOX and my MacBook with Boxer DOSBOX emulators. Thanks!

I remember playing this way back...
Was always interesting too back in the day of shareware, when you could call up the devs and ask them questions about the game/program before you bought it.

One of my absolute favourite shareware/mailware games! I too feature a HD gameplay video of it on my channel. I know that there are a few versions of this game going round on the internet and I got some more of them on different shareware disks over here! :) Great video Clint, keep it up!

Also brings up the fact that he recently took his own life. It's crazy how people you've never met can affect your life. Anyways, great video as always Clint.

Having a C64 in Poland all the games I have are bootlegs so I'm very familiar with those kinds of intros. I'd often boot up some games just to listen to the music on them.
    Also, wrong Galaga TH-cam Gaming.

It looks kind of interesting to me, it's curious to see someone who probably started by trying to make a clone of Galaga that would have less than 64K (It's not stated outright, but the demoscene influence in the style and small size seems to suggest so if I had to warrant a guess) and ended up putting their own spin on things and creating a game that is maybe not the most interesting, but at least an interesting curiosity in history of Galaga series clones and spinoffs.

These quickies are a great way to go through more of ur large of library! Especially for games ur not really feeling up to pouring too much editing and footage capture, Clint!
Out of every uploader I know, I think ur the one who benefits the most from a quickie format since ur very specific in ur channel's focus on pc and ur catalog is so vast.
Plus 6 minutes is really substantial

Thinking about shareware/demo shooters reminds me of Kaeon. It was only 3 levels, with a style that put a lot of emphasis on parallax scrolling. It had amazing midi music and the most interesting part was that the bosses and mini bosses had to be worn down by breaking off pieces of them, revealing complexity underneath.

QUESTION did you ever come across a game, about space exploration, colony building on planets in many solar systems, moving resources, andalien races and fighting alien enemies?
I belive the main enemy race was Dataclaptak (hostile crystal entety) and the game title was probably Colony 3
Battles were conducted in 3d as small model ships shoot each other with 3 axies of movement freedom and base building and alien encounters were conducted in 2d window mode. There was also galactic map build of moving poinst representing planetary systems. I can't sind it anywhere, but i belive it was as old as transport tycoon, duke 3d or genewars (because i got it on one cd from someone)
