Mister Moose I Love your videos. I finally got the game and it is awesome. If I don't understand the game I will go to your videos to see how to do it. Keep up the great work.
The devs are doing well being pressured by PlayWay a lot, but some things still need work and some things need to be added to make it more realistic from a mechanical standpoint. They need to add manual gearboxes and transmission tuning. The automatic gearboxes need to be worked on badly, like adding a tunable shift point to them so it doesn't hit the limiter so much before shifting, and of course torque converters would be a good idea in place of the clutch assembly for automatics, so like when installing the gearbox you attach it as a 3 or 5 part part assembly, like the wishbones in the suspension, where there's the wishbone and 2 bushings. With the automatic gearbox, it's the gearbox, the flywheel, and the torque converter. With the manual gearbox, it's the gearbox, the flywheel, the clutch friction plate, clutch pressure plate, and the clutch release bearing. I don't know if Red Dot can manage a 5 part assembly, as the most they've done so far is 3. The steering as well needs to be worked on as in real life you can turn the wheel all the way even at high speeds, although that is a really stupid thing to do, you can. The game limits your wheel rotation based on speed. To an extent it makes sense given the caster effect and all, but with power steering pumps on almost all to every vehicle in the game, the cars should be able to be forced to steer lock to lock at any speed, like with the Hoonicorn V2 mod, it would greatly benefit from that kind of steering with 1400 hp and AWD for crazy drifts and reverse entries on the race track. Also it would allow better performing cars to take turns faster as many of the cars aren't at their grip limit, but their speed around turns are severely limited by the speed based steering reduction. And yes, of course the cars need to be greatly tunable, hence the Tuning DLC's namesake. High performance parts, engine swaps that make sense, drivetrain swaps (although that would be incredibly hard to accomplish and impossible in some cars), and aerodynamic components. Also, there should be an alignment shop you can take your cars to where you can get a perfect alignment and tune the parameters from there, like camber, toe, ride height, damping, etcetera. That would also be hard to code and simulate, but I trust Red Dot can do it if they want to and if PlayWay would stop pressuring them so much. Who agrees with me?
Hey dude you can change ya final drive ratio and all gear ratio u need all the clutch n stuff n gearbox from the high end parts shop. Then bring up ya pie menu
another good video looking forwards to seeing some more spintires, for tuning DLC my opinion :( as much as i can say so much potential and they can't see it frustrating
In the forum they say more parts will be added with future updates. Still waiting to hear something about the locked item on the engine stand and engine swaps.
lmao 3 years later and all these parts are still the same in the performance section... they still never added the better air filters for the supercharged motors with the big air scoop 🤦🏽♂️
im the exact same way man, i've got like 250 xbox 360 and xbox one games 30+ on the pc several flash games i play on websites and i still find myself sittin here goin man i dont wanna play none of this
HI! Anyone who knows if there's any way to have brands on the car? DLC or anything? Imagine having a Ferrari motor, with the logo and product number and everything! Or a BMW M-power motor! 2JZ, S54 and RB26, that'd be sick!
the name of the dlc is misleading, its not adding the ability to tune your car, its adding stuff to turn your cars into tuner cars, like cars from the first few fast and furious movies, dropped to the floor, custom headlights, body kits, etc.
been catching up on moose's CMS18 videos, seems like they have fixed a lot of issues over the first few months, unfortunately he hasn't done one in a while to see what the current state of the game is. Thinking of getting it next payday, but I have to say the DLC looks an absolute rip off! 2 skins for £5 a pop!? at least the tuning and garage customisation is free. It would be good to see him do a video on the garage customisation.

Thank you for doing all of these videos, appreciate you taking the time to explain things in a way that a car-idiot would understand
