I usually hesitate to watch old bands play again in more current times, but wow, these guys did not disappoint! Great sound and great energy. They haven't lost anything over the years. Their fingers are still at full stiff here.
believe it or not, i am 45 yrs old. my brother is 12 yrs older than me. he seen slf when they had a support band called ,,,, u2. mind he also says he was on stage with big country when the stage got burnt doon? haha
@@grahamlaidlaw7164 Everyone always went on about U2, but I never really got into them. They had a bit of a mainstream sound to them, compared to most of the other (mostly early) punk and new wave of the time. They got more famous than SLF though, since the big stations promoted U2 all over the place, so it's funny that they opened for SLF.
My Favourite SLF song ! I have loved the band since I was 14 in 1979, I watched them tonight in my home CITY of Manchester, and they did not disappoint! Jake has gained a lot of weight over the years (which can't be good for his long term health) and he has shaven all of his hair off, (surely there must be a reason for this?) But his voice and guitar playing were 'Brilliant' , and the band are so tight! Great Performance! dx
Loved SLF, saw them in 1979 at the Apollo theatre in Manchester, I’ve seen them a couple of times recently, still brilliant 40 years later. When your 14 and not from NI you don’t understand politics and the messages in the lyrics, it’s only later you understand what they are saying. First 2 albums are up there with the best ever punk albums. Brilliant.
Seen them in Barras paddies 23 I think that’s 15 or round about never fail to deliver am 64 now but so are 90% of the audi3nce am a Scottish catholic so I should be celebrating paddies day anyway but there’s not a better way to celebrate it wi a few pints and a self gig jake your immortal 👍👍👍🏴🇨🇮🏴🇨🇮🏴
Ireland gave us the best punk band ever. Listening to this song remembers me about my youth. SLF is really amazing.

U2 never opened for SLF, it's an urban myth. Cheers!
@@stifflittlefingersofficialPsssssst! Keep it alive!
They are still completely awesome live. Go and feel ‘em while they’re still doing it.
