Hi Boyz - thanks for your reply... our night sail went well last week - and then later we found a great anchorage in a remote cove called Mupe Bay in Dorset, near Lulworth Cove - recommended - its on west side of Worbarrow bay. Its quite protected and if easterly can anchor at other end of worbarrow bay - great for fishing too. You might like to anchor. worbarrow bay is next to the village that was deserted by all the villagers in the war called Tyneham village - you can walk up to the village - the village school is just as it was back in 1936 when they all left for the war effort. Lulworth Cove is great too and is ok overnight if not a southerly wind - but can get a bit of a swell. just mention it for when you come past. Beware worbarrow bay is within the military firing ranges ( I am in the army - so know it well!) channel 8 is the range contro boat and most weekends and for all of august ranges are closed and no restrictions - if they are firing it happens mon to fri 0930 - 1700 and also tues and thurs night - otherwise you can still enter from 1700 - 0930 and anchor. Be great to see you if passing by.... we would love to offer you a meal and a shower if we are around - rachel and i live in an army quarter just up from lulworth cove. Lovely video; brings back lots of memories. Ten years ago to the day that I sailed from Barra to St. Kilda on a sailing school boat. 22 years ago proposed just off the Isle of Mull (second and last time skippering a chartered boat - married and kids now = too poor). Hope you get out the Outer Hebrides too. If you get a good weather window go to St. Kilda; you will not be disappointed. Great video guys. The best yet IMO. Good to see Passage planning and great sailing footage. The GoPro is certainly a good camera. great scenery too. Do you have AIS onboard?
@@TheSailingBrothers It’s a bit pricey but Digital Yacht do an AIS unit that will plug right into your radio aerial. There are loads of outputs from it but the best of it is WiFi. So, you get AIS on your table and the enhanced (more accurate) gps from the AIS system on your tablet too.

Hi Guys. Absolutely love your experience. Nice boat! By the way what kind of (artifical?) teak do you use on you railings ? Would love to know the brand you used for my boat... Keep it up it's great!
Thanks for your comment. We are not sure what artificial teak it is as it was already on the boat when we bought her luckily but it is very good stuff 👍
With such a nutritious diet programme and a contender to win rate my plate on Facebook,it got me thinking with you two boys sleeping in such a small boat. Do you have a nitrogen, and carbon dioxide detector on board? or being welsh a canary in a cage ;)
Hey guys hows it going ,those horses were laxed out .I am wondering what charts you are using ? and your engine looks brand new is it or just kept nice and clean ? Thanks for another great episode of your adventure its great.
Great channel, thanks for sharing. A quick question, what tablet do you use for Navionics. I have tried my Ipad but that can only give my position if the Ipad has a Wifi connection which is totally useless 20 miles off shore. I understand that to use the app without wifi the device needs an independent GPS chip so I am not sure what to do or use however yours seems to work great..
Thanks for your comments Simon and your question. We use Samsung galaxy tablets they have GPS on them and don't require internet to work out at sea. I'm not sure about the iPad I suppose any tablets will work as long as it's got GPS 👍👍
I have an old Ipad mini, wifi only, and run Navionics on it. To get the GPS signal I bought a plug in GPS 'Bad Elf'. It plugs straight into the lighning port on the Ipad. Not really that much cost and saved having to buy another tablet. You can get the same 'Bad Elf' but a wifi version that would be better as you can use the signal on any device pretty much though IPad running wifi won't last so long before needing a charge! I just hate to throw away gear that still works. I even have an old Google Nexus 7 tablet that has built in GPS and Navionics runs fine on it even though it must be getting on for 10 years old now!
We motored a couple of times in Croatia, time was limited to a week long cruise and we wanted to place the boat into good sailing conditions to enjoy the sailing! I’d say not so much cheating but pragmatic passage making.
I don’t get it. Last week you were terrified by tiny ponies, this week nervous about imaginary snakes, but then almost proposed to a horse that was lying down. What is it - scared or not scared? So hard to tell. Can’t wait to see what terrifying wildlife you encounter next time!
Nooo how did I miss another cheese laden episode. Come on you cheese corporations how can you overlook the marketing opportunities? These guys are gonna be big. I bet in a hundred episodes time they will be in the Bahamas surrounded by adoring bikini clad women and all desperate for cheese. ( well I tried lads, I tried)

With such a nutritious diet programme and a contender to win rate my plate on Facebook,it got me thinking with you two boys sleeping in such a small boat. Do you have a nitrogen, and carbon dioxide detector on board? or being welsh a canary in a cage ;)
Yes we do SV 👍a canary that is lol 😁
If you were dragged over rough shells you'd be tender. ;-)
In hindsight we should have walked the tender when it got too shallow
Gonna have to start calling you the Cheese Brothers from now in.
The cheese brothers, I like it!!! 😃
@@TheSailingBrothers Think I would be sleeping outside!!!
Didn't notice too many oranges and lemons on your passage, you want to be pulling up to your next port covered in scurvy arrr! arrr!
We do have apples and bananas hanging under the skylight 👍👍
Hey guys hows it going ,those horses were laxed out .I am wondering what charts you are using ? and your engine looks brand new is it or just kept nice and clean ? Thanks for another great episode of your adventure its great.
Hi Kevin thanks for your comment we use navionics on tablets and our engine is around 30 years old but we keep it in top-notch condition 👍
@@TheSailingBrothers cheers for that
@@kevinmurphy506 you're welcome, anytime
Haha omg, do you guys ever eat fruit or veggies? 😁
Yes we do a couple of times a week 👍👍👍😁😁
I use Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet, way cheaper than an iPad, works great.
Mobile phones have gps too
I have an old Ipad mini, wifi only, and run Navionics on it.
@@johnprance1888 Thanks for the reply and helpful advice. Regards Simon.
My wife (who has crewed for years up there) says its cheating to motor to catch the wind angle. But fully understand why :)
You've got to do what you've got to do 😁
We motored a couple of times in Croatia, time was limited to a week long cruise and we wanted to place the boat into good sailing conditions to enjoy the sailing! I’d say not so much cheating but pragmatic passage making.
You guys would endear yourself to the locals if you were to fly the Saltire (Cross of St Andrews) as a courtesy flag whilst in Scottish waters.
Thanks we do have a selection of flags on board we will dig some out
@@TheSailingBrothers Had to smile this morning, guess what turned up in my youtube feed as suggested products.
Weather looks typically British :(
Very British 🙄
I don’t get it. Last week you were terrified by tiny ponies, this week nervous about imaginary snakes, but then almost proposed to a horse that was lying down. What is it - scared or not scared? So hard to tell. Can’t wait to see what terrifying wildlife you encounter next time!
Hahahaha thanks for your comments lol 😉
Nooo how did I miss another cheese laden episode. Come on you cheese corporations how can you overlook the marketing opportunities? These guys are gonna be big. I bet in a hundred episodes time they will be in the Bahamas surrounded by adoring bikini clad women and all desperate for cheese. ( well I tried lads, I tried)
We are still waiting for a cheese sponsor Hillary. Wouldn't it be amazing if we could have cheese around the world. Bikini women eating on cheese 🤤
9 episodes in and not a bikini in sight?
Sorry 😞 we do need some 👌
It’s wonderful as is, no bikinis and the thumbnail isn’t trash bait, love it lads, no bikinis needed 👍👍👍 ⛵️
