Infact Valayapatti Subramanyam learnt carnatic music till the age of eleven, then as per his desire, he joined gurukul to learn Tavil. Hence his indepth knowledge in Swarm and thalam which tend the listeners to think whether Tavil is played for Nagaswaram or otherwise. He never over plays the instrument. A real genius and the only one Thavil Chakravarthy.
