I've known Adam and the Klein's since I was in 2nd grade and he entered kindergarten. Our parents are friends still. This story isn't fake at all. He lost his mother at age 25. You should all be ashamed. He played a great survivor. Blame cbs for making the mom situation big for the ratings. He played the hand he was dealt and made his mother proud.
I'm glad he won he was so sweet and genuine I'm sorry for his loss but I'm sure his mom is very proud she raised what seemed to be two awesome young men
I met his dad he's very nice and we went bowling and he is very good friends with my aunt. He is very nice (like I already said)and told me and my brother about his dad and his childhood. I never got to talk to Adam though because I'm in New York but his dad tried to FaceTime him. I wish the best for their family 👍🏻
Stop commenting about him crying. You'd be crying if your mother died too. And no, he didn't use his mother to get votes. He was asked a question that brought up the topic in some way, so he said it. As you could CLEARLY see, the whole season and even during the final tribal council, he did not want to talk directly to the cast/jury how his mother had cancer. And even so, he did play a great game. Whether you like it or not, he did.

LAL013 Adam told everyone about it to be genuine in the end, and yes he kept it secret for most of the season so he wouldn't be perceived as a threat, but that was so he could play the best possible game for his mother, who wouldn't get to see him play another. She didn't even get to see the season air on TV or watch the votes for her son to win be read. Show a little respect.
It's honestly disgusting that several people think he's an actor. His mother wanted him to live his dream with the intention of watching the show with him. He's had an emotional year and the fact that people are insulting him is horrific.

IT IS NOT FAKE. Survivor is not fake omg idk why people keep saying it is. If it was why hasn't one of the nearly 500 people who've played the game leaked saying it was fake? If it was fake then why are there horribly boring seasons that are a pain to watch, wouldn't every season be exciting and shocking if it were scripted? Anyways it's pretty awful how there are people attacking a person who just lost his mom. I honestly hope things get better for you people that are sick and twisted enough to do that. Going on Survivor was an endeavor that both Adam and his mom applied for. When Adam finally got casted his mother told him to go because she knew it was his childhood dream and she wanted him to fulfill it. i admire his mom's belief in him. i can't tell you how many times i have seen terminal pts hold on until there is a loved one trying to see them. once their pts feel you near them they can give up their ghost. it is truly touching to see.
It means a lot to me that he donated $100,000 of his winnings to lung cancer research because my grand father passed away from lung cancer, brain cancer, and kidney cancer. He ment the world to me and I lost him in 5th grade to lung cancer.
I mean if my mother died of lung cancer and I won survivor I'd be donating all of that money except just enough to maybe get me a small house and hold me off for a little while. Like I'd be donating $850,000 or just $800,000 to it. I'm actually Ken Mcnickle's nephew and apparently most of the rumors about him were true. He only ever cried or talked about his mom on camera and if apparently he talked about it like it was no big deal outside of that. Also his family is actually really well off so the million (after his inheritance) was really just a drop in the water. I mean my uncle used most of the money in a custody battle to try to get my cousin Sadie away from her mom. That's a whole other thing though. But he used the remainder to set up a homeless organization thing called humanekind. What did Adam do? Donate a comparatively insignificant amount of it and hoard the rest. What an asshole.
The money would have helped a lot with his mother’s treatment, I don’t think he ever says that but I’m sure he would have put some of the money towards that. And she wanted him to do it, and I’m sure he wanted to do it so that his mom could see him live their dream. Obviously he did not plan for her to pass away immediately after the game, so he’s giving it to lung cancer research.

I'm so sorry for his lost. In my life I lost three people to cancer. In 2007, I lost my friend/classmate Kevin to lymphoma, in 2018 I lost my uncle to lung cancer, and in 2023 I lost my aunt to live cancer. (Note: my uncle and aunt were husband and wife). It's hard to lose one after another to this disease, but my family always taught to keep my head high and live your life to fullest. Adam honor her by winning survivor which is a big accomplishment.
I'm binging Survivor on CBS right now, and have already been in a mess of tears from other family tragedies just like his. I'm nowhere close to his season, but I'll be a mess when I get to it. I'm so sorry for your loss Adam.

My Mom passed away 8 years ago from Stage 4 Malignant Melanoma and it was very hard emotionally on my Ohana and I so this story hits every cord in myself and want to pay my respects to the Family
She definitely waited for him to come home. I know that doesn’t seem possible but I think our bodies can fight hard enough to give someone the closure they need. And for a mother to be away from her son while he’s out fighting for her, there is no way she was going anywhere without saying good bye. If he didn’t get that chance, his survivor win would have meant NOTHING. He would have regretted being in the game.

Who else in the F3 deserved it more? You had Hannah who was very easy to manipulate and only decided to assist in taking out the biggest threat in the game at the F4. She apparently thought that taking out Bret was a better decision than eliminating David. She rode on everyone else's coattails all the way to final tribal. Then you had Ken who constantly preached integrity and loyalty only to betray his closest ally David at the F4. Adam had a strong strategic and social game, and obviously the jury agrees.
I feel bad for Adam that his mom died after him returning home but I got really upset about the fact that Adam used it so the jury can gain pity on him so he can win survivor. But when he donated money from his survivor winnings to lung cancer research I started to gain more respect for him.
I truly truly truly feel bad for him it's just I feel that as in season 31 with Jeremy he won because he got sympathy votes from the jury who felt bad for him it's not about who your playing for its about how you played the game and I feel as ken should have won with Hanna as the runner up and Adam in 3rd place
Ken had 0 strategic game at all. He won challenges and provided for people at camp. If this was a humanitarian award, maybe Ken wins that but not the Sole Survivor. Hannah played the game strictly in the middle of the road but unfortunately, her neurotic behavior came back to haunt her because the jury didnt want to reward a person for just acting crazy the whole time and being unpredictable. While Adam was certainly not flawless, he had the greatest impact on the overall outcome of the game which is my personal criterion for the winner so he deserved the win.
Kobe Wan Kenobi im surprised he kept it a secret as long as he did and didn't use it like johnny fairplay to keep from getting voted out. He actually played the game without sympathy until the very end. Why not tell the jury? His mom was the reason he was there, he was being honest.
as much as I am feeling for Adam and his loss I think he is really wearing it thin. you think the rest of us do not have stories like that? i lost my best friend and partner to skin cancer at age 36, my father died of lung cancer at age 68, my second best friend died of of a heart attack at age 42, my brother died of a heart attack at age 63, my cousin the same year of a heart attack at age 56, i l lost my two kittens three months old, i feel your pain, but at some point you have got to stop bringing that up, cause we all have stories like that, you are not special!

He literally won before he shared his story. Going on the show was his childhood dream that his mom wanted him to fulfill. Also, he's using his win on the show to raise awareness and money for cancer. Also, his normal job is being a homeless shelter manager. Doesn't sound greedy to me. Who else in the F3 deserved it more? You had Hannah who was very easy to manipulate and only decided to assist in taking out the biggest threat in the game at the F4. She apparently thought that taking out Bret was a better decision than eliminating David. She rode on everyone else's coattails all the way to final tribal. Then you had Ken who constantly preached integrity and loyalty only to betray his closest ally David at the F4. Adam had a strong strategic and social game, and obviously the jury agrees.

I feel bad for Adam that his mom died after him returning home but I got really upset about the fact that Adam used it so the jury can gain pity on him so he can win survivor. But when he donated money from his survivor winnings to lung cancer research I started to gain more respect for him.

I truly truly truly feel bad for him it's just I feel that as in season 31 with Jeremy he won because he got sympathy votes from the jury who felt bad for him it's not about who your playing for its about how you played the game and I feel as ken should have won with Hanna as the runner up and Adam in 3rd place

Ken had 0 strategic game at all. He won challenges and provided for people at camp. If this was a humanitarian award, maybe Ken wins that but not the Sole Survivor. Hannah played the game strictly in the middle of the road but unfortunately, her neurotic behavior came back to haunt her because the jury didnt want to reward a person for just acting crazy the whole time and being unpredictable. While Adam was certainly not flawless, he had the greatest impact on the overall outcome of the game which is my personal criterion for the winner so he deserved the win.

as much as I am feeling for Adam and his loss I think he is really wearing it thin. you think the rest of us do not have stories like that? i lost my best friend and partner to skin cancer at age 36, my father died of lung cancer at age 68, my second best friend died of of a heart attack at age 42, my brother died of a heart attack at age 63, my cousin the same year of a heart attack at age 56, i l lost my two kittens three months old, i feel your pain, but at some point you have got to stop bringing that up, cause we all have stories like that, you are not special!

Ok but like ur wrong there was confessionals about who people thought they'd vote before the jury speeches and nearly everyone said Adam bc of the game he played. Who do you think shouldve won. Ken who didn't play strategically at all or Hannah who did nothing and just followed everyone else.

Also, he's using his win on the show to raise awareness and money for cancer. Also, his normal job is being a homeless shelter manager. Doesn't sound greedy to me.
