At 1:10 the video notes that an acceptable seal can be provided if the piping is slightly off center or axially misaligned, but I have heard from representatives that the piping must be centered and level to provide a proper seal. If misalignment or an off center installation is acceptable, to what degree can they be allowed?

As an industry end-user and this being the manufacturer's official video, I cannot make official claims. But as someone who installs Link-Seals every day to seal PE and steel gas services into buildings with customer-installed sleeves, I can tell you that I have had to deal with a lot of sleeves installed not square to the building wall. I install piping from the building out. That is to say I install the pipe in the sleeve first, then install the Link-Seal around the pipe at both ends of the sleeve-as is required by my job. If the sleeve is not square to the building, neither will my first section of pipe. I take care of any off angles with subsequent pipe-building techniques after that. I have never had a callback for water leaking around my Link-Seal installs. I deal in primarily pipe diameters from 2"-12" and Link-Seal sizes from 200-475.
