You use the plastic to lift out all the soil and seedlings at once making it easy to separate the seedlings and not damaging any roots. A very good idea.
When it's time to transplant the seedlings into separate cups, I'll grab the ends of the bags sticking out of the ground and pull out all the seedlings at once, and each plant will easily separate from each other without breaking the roots. It's very convenient.

Wonderful presentations in all your videos. I am following you closely, and, learning each day. From a raw beginner gardener. I'm in Southern Hemisphere,Australia, and,we are heading into Autumn,so I will have to wait to plant tomatoes, but,it will be worth it. Thank you for great information.🐇🦘🦘🦘

I live in Ukraine, and you won't find this manufacturer in your stores. The main phobia in the soil was not sour peat, perlite or vermiculite. This will be enough. Buy the one for seedlings or universal.
When it will be time to transfert tomato plants ito individual containers, by pulling the ends of the plastic bag it will help pull all out.... 😉 Oh, I almost forgot... the plastic bag under the soil will keep it moist.
Yes, you are absolutely right. I also illuminate the seedlings for the first 48 hours, but I use emergency led lamps, I will soon show my rack in the next videos.

I suggest that you do not soak the seeds in plain water, but chamomile tea. Put 1 filter bag of chamomile tea in 2 dl of boiled and slightly cooled water (at about 50 degrees). Chamomile works to prevent many diseases of seeds and young plants.
You know you can google it. I do it all the time for cooking equivalents that are not metric. Not many countries use the imperial system for measuring these days. Only the U.S., Liberia and Myanmar.
There is absolutely nothing in this video which is particularly helpful. Plastic sheet - no apparent reason at this stage. Nothing more frustrating than a video which should have double the detail in half the length.
It's quite straight forward.....and the plastic sheet is explained many times in the comments. Did you have your volume on? 🤔 If you are an experienced gardener that would explain it. It's ok if you do things differently. Feel free to make info videos and share them. I always like learning new ways and it seems you may have a different approach that others may appreciate.
@@angelad.8944 thanks but there is no need to make more videos as they way I do seed starting has been covered in many videos already. I think what I was trying to express is the approach in the video is likely to lead to confusion, unnecessary transplanting, and is just not necessary. Take a look at the double cup method with wicking which from years of experience works the best for all seeds except those which are minuscule.
🎉 Many of us are new to gardening. Would you Please post in the video description area products that you buy/use. i.e. 00:47 "...nutrient rich soil..." Thank you. 🧓

Yes. That's right.
Would of been great if you had shown the sprouts and seedlings
To pick it up ?
Thanks for sharing ❤

The tray helps with having a consistent depth for the roots to explore.

Thanks for the video, do you put holes on the plastic bag and how does it drain?
Thanks buddy. It was helpful 👍💚
Will this work for broccoli also? Thanks for sharing.
Yes. This method is suitable for all types of cabbage.

Hi , why clear plastic bag ? Will this work on all seeds , vegetable, flowers . Thank You for Sharing Your knowledge...

To lft out the seedlings and soil for transplanting!😊
Just learned something new thank for sharing
شكرا لك تعلمت طريقة جيدة واريد ان ازرع بهذه الطريق 👍👍♥️♥️
Could you put a link to the soil you are using in this video, Please?

Thank you for answering.@@amazinggarden
@@amazinggarden Aha! Ukraine...no wonder you are innovative, and, clever in your thinking.
So no drainage for the container?

Yes, you are absolutely right.
Pls explain why is soil compaction needed.
Thx
@hadymarzuki9287. Think of the seed as if it were a tiny baby who feels more secure when it is swaddled.
I like to germinate cherry, plum and prone fruit seed to germinate would you please inform me the best way to
Get the plants out of the plastic container without hurting them.
Yes. That's right.
Thanks for your sharing. What is the purpose and benefit of toilet paper layer ?
I talked about this in the video, retains moisture longer and also prevents the seeds from falling lower into the soil
@@amazinggardenThanks for your confirmation, that's what I thought, I missed this point in the video.
What about drain holes in the plastic?
This way it is better to get th seedlingsout and separate them.
Personally I start them under red light in the beginning 48h.
Yes, you are absolutely right. I also illuminate the seedlings for the first 48 hours, but I use emergency led lamps, I will soon show my rack in the next videos.
No drainage holes in the plastic liner?
Yes, there are no holes. I've been growing for 10 years, so I know how much water to pour for the seedlings to grow normally.
I strive for simplicity in my garden. This isn’t it but you usually have great videos.
When you see me simply transplanting these seedlings into cups, you will love this method.

Moisture?
No, it's to make it easy to take out the seedlings for transplanting.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
you're welcome
Genius
Maybe keep heat in, to help seed germinate faster?
No drainage? Or did my older eyes miss drainage holes
Yes, there are no holes. I've been growing for 10 years, so I know how much water to pour for the seedlings to grow normally.
The plastic bag will aid in removing the seedlings! Less transplant shock. Maybe!?
Yes. That's right.
I guess when is time for transportating it's easy to take out the seedlings, just by lifting the film, and brake the seedlings.
You put the bag to retain moisture not to be drained out.
watch out for to much standing water

Use inches I don't know what a centimeter is this is America😊
2.5 cm is 1 inch

The green container has no drainage holes. Is this okay for starting seeds? 🤔🧓
