This is my favourite song...period. I found this song when I was at a really bad stage of my life. This song and the messages in it pulled me out of that hole. I really do love Gunship and synthwave for that very reason

I like how you said at 7 min into the video here, "Maybe I didn't know about Gunship then" They only came out in 2015 and this song was released in 2018. It's only 4 years old. Yes, all the references were from the 80s, but that's what Synthwave is all about. It's a total Retro 80s sound to it, but it originated in France back around early 2000s. They are by far my fav Synthwave band. I can honestly sit and listen to their album from end to end without stopping it and I love every song.

I got hooked on this video recently and wondered if you did a reaction to the actual video.
This one hits so many emotions. Of course there's the nostalgia, but then it piles on humor, desperation, encouragement, brotherhood and so on. It's one of the most positive things I can point to. A bittersweet masterpiece of communion and friendship. I get a little tearier every time I listen to it.

I have a confession to make lol I'm not the biggest Gunship fan. I've listened to some of their other songs and they didn't resonate with me too much. Just couldn't get into it. This song, however, is awesome. First time hearing it so thanks for sharing it and doing a reaction.

I was so surprised to see Demetrious Johnson doing a cameo in the video. What a legend.
I get so many mixed feelings when I listen to this song and watch the compilation of all these scenes from old movies.
On one hand, I'm just sick with nostalgia and sad that those times are gone and seemingly that same sorta dreamer mentality we had is lost.
On the other hand, I can't help smiling at all the people out there that seem to feel the same way I do about those moments in time that we've lost over the years.
I wish we could just move past all the negativity in the atmosphere these days and get somewhere, where we don't need to hyper-sexualize everything, prop up drug abuse, or mistreat each other to feel like we have a purpose.

I was on tiktok the other day and a bunch of 20 year olds were making “nostalgia 90s” outfits and videos and it really just had me think like wow. Didn’t seem like it was that long ago I was going to Ross looking for JnCo jeans but here we are. One day having to wear a mask out in public will be nostalgia for us.
