When I used to watch newsreaders (many moons ago) they just used to report the news with impartiality. Nowadays they always have to put their own opinion in about things, or pull a face or make a sarcastic comment at the end of the programme as they shuffle their papers on the desk. Tom Bradby was one of the worst for this. I don't/can't watch him anymore.

Just sick humour Andy, I was brought up in the belief if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all, my first comment on YT some years ago I received hate mail because the perpetrator misunderstood my meaning, I pointed this out and got an immediate apology, but the damage was done my husband had just died and I was recovering from a second heart attack, I can’t tell you how It made me feel that a complete stranger could feel such hate for another human being, I didn’t feel like commenting ever again, if it hadn’t have been for some lovely friends I had made across the pond I would have given up! my comments have now started being removed, but I don’t know why 🤷♀️
