I agree with you, especially on the character growth and complexity. He was a perfect example of a human being with all the flaws they might have and different reactions and decisions throughout their life. I love Harvey so much.
What gets me is how much more child-like Gabriel Macht is in real life, how 'light' he seems to be as a person, how hard it was for him to relate himself to Harvey every day he set foot on set, that it exhausts him to be in Harvey's shoes, and how he's still thankful for that role in the end anyway.
