This song takes me back to when I was 17 years old. I got myself a little Puch Maxi moped I used to call it Little Nelly and this song brought back all the good memories of all the good times I had with my little moped.
I remember listening to this for weeks before doing my theory test for a bike at 16. Since then ive had 125’s and 600cc’s but actually ended up with a honda 50 which i still use on summer days
Tom Toohey of Timahoe wrote this, performed it for years in the pubs around Kildare, even had the legend that is Christy Moore sing it on RTE. It would be nice if Seamus and his fans gave Tom his feckin' dues here...
