How long does it take you to do an average page , not including thumbnail, but from when you put pencil to paper to when you finish the physical water colors?
Hi, David! How I am approaching this comic with ink is different than I’ve done it in the past, doing backgrounds with pencil and color only. Also working on one page at a time is a relatively new experience for me. I used to try to pencil a bunch of pages in a few days then go back and ink them and then color them as fast as I could. With these RT pages I usually spend an hour or two over three evenings roughing in pencils then refining them. So maybe like 5-8 hours sometimes? Inking and coloring over a couple of nights can take about 3 -5 hrs total. Maybe like around 3 days of solid work to get a page ready for the scanner. Though I cringe to say I’ve spent longer than that on a page or three.
@@FarelDalrymple Thanks, Farel. I've only recently began to expeirment with watercolor this past year, and only last month figured out I get better results when I do all the inking last after the watercolor. So you are doing about a page + per week then? That's a great rate.
I love you art and storytelling, love the sci fi fantasy blend. So fine.
My eyes have never felt so pampered
This looks amazing!!!
Thank you!
Holy crap I had no idea you had a TH-cam channel, loved your comics for a long time this is super exciting!
Thank you!
