      Thanks again for tuning in Bobby...I was pleasantly surprised on my visit to Blue Hills with the amount of color left that day and the pristine nature of the 7000 acres preserved there. An excellent location to learn Oaks!

    Nice video. I have a huge northern red oak in my yard that has dropped acorns every year I have lived here in northern indiana. 9 years. It's nearly 13 ft around and I would guess 90 feet high, 150+ years old.

      Thanks for watching Josh...I will clarify the comments from this video about RED OAK acorns. The acorns from these trees take two growing seasons to mature. Perhaps what you are seeing in your yard are acorns from previous growing seasons that did not drop at that time.
