      HELLO,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL COMMENT.
THE OBJECTIVE OF MY NEXT TUTORIAL ( IN THE MAKING) IS TO EXPLAIN WITH LIVE VISUAL & AUDIAL DEMONSTRATIONS BY ME HOW IT IS DONE.
BECAUSE OF MY EXPERIENCES AS A TEENAGER IT'S BEEN MY GOAL TO HELP BEGINNER STUDENTS TO ESTABLISH A FOUNDATION OF A BALANCED VOICE (CHEST TO HEAD VOICE) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO SAVE THEM PRECIOUS TIME, MONEY, AND FRUSTRATION SO THEY CAN DEVELOP SOONER WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME.
DON'T FORGET NOT ALL TEACHERS, OR TECHNIQUES WORK FOR EVERYONE, BUT I CAN DEMONSTRATE PERSONALLY, ONE WAY OF DOING IT GRATIS, WHICH I NEVER GOT. UNTIL THEN,
GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE & HEALTHY
      MR. SILVA

      HELLO JENNY,
THAN YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL COMMENT.
I'M 87 AND THIS WHOLE YEAR HAS BEEN FILLED HEALTH ISSUES THAT HAS PREVENTED ME FROM COMPLETING MY FOLLOW UP 2nd TUTORIAL,
"HOW MY FIRST TUTORIAL IS DONE"
IT'S IN THE MAKING WITH ME DEMONSTRATING THE FIVE (5) BASIC FUNDAMENTAL VOCAL TECHNIQUE PRINCIPALS .
IT BEGINS WITH MAKING THE VOICE LIGHTER BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS.
THIS KNOWLEDGE WAS GIVEN TO MY BY PAST MASTERS OF VOCAL TECHNIQUE INCLUDING PERHAPS THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS VOICE TEACHER MAESTRO SETH RIGGS, WHICH I NOT ONLY WAS A STUDENT OF HIS BUT AN ASSOCIATE TEACHER.
ALL THIS KNOWLEDGE THAT I'VE ACCUMULATED IS GOD'S KNOWLEDGE, I'M JUST A CONDUIT PASSING IT ON TO YOU STUDENTS, AND I'M SO GRATEFUL THAT I CAN DO IT WITHOUT YOU SPENDING A DIME.
MY REWARD IS THAT HOPEFULLY THIS KNOWLEDGE CAN HELP AND SPEED UP
YOUR DEVELOPMENT, WISH ME LUCK .
      GOD BLESS AND STAY HEALTHY

I don't know how this video has below 100k views but bless youtube for this. I've only recently started my vocal journey, growing up on modern music and only recently been looking at classical music, I've been shocked and inspired. The techniques and ways of them look and sound so powerful.
Bless for this video. Its so in depth. Being someone who can't really afford any vocal coaches/lessons at the moment these in depth videos and demonstrations are so valuable.

      HELLO MAXIMUM'
HOW WONDERFUL AND THOUGHTFUL YOUR COMMENTS !!!
YOU AND STUDENTS LIKE YOU IS THE REASON WHY I'M DOING THESE TUTORIALS, SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO SPEND A DIME AND STILL GET THE FUNDAMENTAL AND SEQUENTIAL ORDER OF THE PRINCIPLES OF VOCAL TECHNIQUE THAT I NEVER HAD AS A BEGINNER !!
I'M 87 YEARS WITH SOME HEALTH ISSUES THAT HAS SLOWED DOWN MY NEXT TUTORIAL BUT WITH THE HELP OF GOD I WILL FINISH THIS NEXT ONE , WHICH IS HOW IT IS DONE WITH ME VISUALLY DEMONSTRATING.
I MAY NEVER GIVE PRIVATE LESSONS AGAIN SO THIS WHY I WILL FINISH THIS NEXT TUTORIAL.
THE BASIC PRINCIPLE OF THIS VOCAL TECHNIQUE IS TO LIGHTEN THE VOICE BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS SO THAT YOU CAN SING FROM CHEST TO HEAD VOICE SMOOTHLY WITHOUT A BREAK IN YOUR VOICE.
I WILL SHOW HOW TO BALANCE THE BREATH/TONAL SUPPORT......PLACEMENT OF THE VOICE......ROUNDING OF THE VOWELS......BLENDING AND MIXING THE (6) TIMBRAL QUALITIES OF THE VOICE.......THE VIVIFICATION OF EMOTIONAL SINGING .
THIS TECHNIQUE IS APPLICABLE FOR POP, BROADWAY MUSICAL SINGERS, OR OPERA SINGERS.
I FEEL VERY BLESSED THAT I HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO THIS AND TO HELP STUDENTS WHO CAN'T AFFORD LESSONS SO THAT THEY CAN SPEED UP AND DISCOVER THEIR POTENTIAL OR AT LEAST ENJOY AND APPRECIATE THE DEVINE ART OF SINGING AT AN EARLY AGE.
      GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE

THANK YOU FOR YOU RESPONSE , I'M WORKING ON MY NEXT TUTORIAL WHICH I WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE DEVELOPS FROM THE ARCHETYPAL SOUNDS OF THE HUMAN VOCAL CORDS WHEN WE'RE BORN
TO THE BLENDING OF THEM TO THE ADULT SINGING VOICE . BE IT CHEST , HEAD , OR FALSETTO ( VOCE CON RESPIRO )
THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE ( QUESTO E COME E FATTO )

      @Griffin Grey HELLO MR. GREY,
CONGRADULATIONS, WHAT A GREAT EPHANIC FEELING WHEN ONE DISCOVERS THAT SOMETHING THAT WORKS FOR YOU!!
AT THIS MOMENT I'M WORKING ON DEMONSTRATING VISUALLY USING FALSETTO, PHARYNGEAL SEPARATELY PLUS MIXING BOTH TO USE AS POINTERS TO FACILITATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CONVENTIONAL (2) OCTAVE RANGE WITH EASE, ESPECIALLY THOSE HIGH HEAD NOTES!!
I WANT STUDENTS OF ALL AGES ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO ARE BEGINNING TO ESTABLISH THE VOCAL FOUNDATION WITH NO FEAR OF THOSE HIGH HEAD NOTES!
I WANT FREE OF CHARGE TO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP THEIR TECHNIQUE FAST SO THAT THEY CAN PROCEED WITH THEIR CAREERS. I REALLY THINK YOUNG TENORS IN THEIR TEENS SHOULD BE ABLE TO SING HIGH C5 &D5s EFFORTLESSLY WITHOUT FEAR!!

      HELLO,
THIS TUTORIAL DOES NOT SHOW HOW IT IS DONE BUT WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, AND WHY, IT IS DONE 1
MY NEXT TUTORIAL IS TO SHOW HOW IT IS DONE .
THE HOW IT IS DONE WILL BE SHOWN VISUALLY WITH ME DEMONSTRATING IT. THIS PRIMARILY IS FOR STUDENTS WHOSE VOICES HAVE GONE THRU' THE VOICE CHANGE.
THE GREAT MAJORITY OF SINGERS ALREADY HAVE THE RANGE AND ALL THE HIGH NOTES, ONLY IT HAS BEEN DIVIDED BEAUSE OF THE VOICE CHANGE.
IT IS MY BELIEF THAT MEN SINGERS KEEP AT LEAST AN OCTAVE OF THEIR BOY VOICES ONLY THEY GAIN AT LEAST AN OCTAVE OF THEIR MANS CHEST VOICES.
THE JOURNEY NOW IS TO CONNECT THE DIVIDED CHEST & HEAD VOICE SMOOTHLY WITH NO BREAK BY USING THE BOY VOICE YOU STILL HAVE( NOW KNOWN AS FALSETTO) AND COMBINED WITH AN UNREFINED PHARYNGEAL , THEN REFINE BOTH FALSETTO & PHARYNGEAL INTO YOUR NORMAL ADULT VOICE ( THAT'S MY JOB).
I DEMONSTRATE THIS BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS TO MAKE THE VOICE LIGHTER. THE PROCESS IS SOMEWHAT CONVOLUTED BECAUSE IT INVOLVES BALANCING SYNERGIC COORDINATION OF BREATH SUPPORT, PLACEMENT, BLENDING TIMBRAL
SOUNDS, VOWEL ROUNDING AND VIVIFICATION OF THE VOICE.
THIS MAY SOUND COMPLICATED TO THE YOUNG STUDENT ( AS IT WOULD BE TO ME IF I WERE A YOUNG STUDENT) BUT WHEN YOU SEE VISUALLY DEMONSTRATIONS & EXPLANATIONS ( BY ME ) THEN WHAT IS LEFT IS INCULCATION ( PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND TENACITY), IT IS AN EXCITING JOURNY OF FRUSTRATION, AND SUCCESS, SO ENTER THE RACE!!
      GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE

Thank you for the praise, I just turn 80 in May and I can still sing and sustain High C5 to A5 with relative ease. One of my teachers Maestro Salvatore D'aura who was also organist at the Sistine Chapel would say " CANTERE SEMPRE PIANO, LEGGIERO, LUMINOSO, E RACCOLIERE SUONO CON ARROTONDARE LA VOCALE " Which means " ALWAYS SING SOFT, LIGHT, BRIGHT, AND GATHER THE SOUND BY ROUNDING OFF THE VOWEL " From there one can develop the voice to sing FORTE .

MY NEXT ONE IS TO SHOW HOW IT DONE WITH ME DEMONSTRATING VISUALLY.
I'M 87 AND HAVE SOME HEALTH ISSUES, BUT I WILL FINISH THIS PROJECT.
THE MAIN REASON FOR THE (2) TUTORIALS IS TO GIVE STUDENTS YOUNG AND OLD A SEQUENTIAL ORDER AND METHOD OF HOW THIS TECHNIQUE IS DONE WITHOUT COSTING THEM A DIME. IN MY YOUTH A HAD TO STRUGGLE WASTING TIME AND MONEY ON BAD INSTRUCTION WITH LITTLE OR NO CONCRETE RESULTS, ALWAYS SEEKING SOMEONE TO DEMONSTRATE HOW IT WAS DONE. @@tonysilva9458 I am a baritone from Vietnam. I ve only been training for 5 months and is progressing pretty well since before I have read several books about the anatomy and the old school method. The problem Im having right now is the inconsistency of my technique as sometimes I just lost the position and sound too pushed/yelled at the top of my range (G4). In addition to the vocal class (once a week), I spend around an hour a day training by myself and experimenting new things (seperating the falsetto, working on the yawn and the covering feeling of the sound, etc.). Looking forward to your video!!!!

I LISTEN TO A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING AROUND 10 AM, WAS THAT YOU & HOW OLD ARE YOU?
MY NEXT TUTORIAL IS FOR EVERYBODY BUT MAINLY FOR YOUNG SINGERS IN THEIR TEENS AFTER THE VOICE CHANGE.
BECAUSE OF MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES WITH MY VOICE TEACHERS IN MY TEENS (WHO KNEW PITIFULLY LITTLE ABOUT VOCAL TECHNIQUE) I WANT TO SAVE YOUNG SINGERS WASTED TIME AND MONEY. I WON SCHOLARSHIP AFTER SCHOLARSHIP ONLY TO BE SPENT ON NOTHING EXCEPT WASTED TIME & NON-DEVELOPMENT.
I FEEL IF I CAN HELP YOUNG SINGERS WITH WHAT KNOWLEDGE I HAVE TO ESTABLISH A BASIC
UNDERSTANDING ON HOW TO BALANCE THEIR VOICES, IT MIGHT SPEED UP THEIR CHANCES OF FULFILLING THEIR VOCAL DEVELOPMENT AT AN EARLIER AGE AND SAVE A LOT TIME WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME!

      @@ahava77 HELLO AGAIN,
I CAN COMMISERATE WITH YOU AND OTHER STUDENTS IN THE SAME PREDICAMENT.
IF YOU ARE A FEMALE THERE IS A UTUBE BY DESSI STEFANOVA "SINGING WITH 2 VOICES"
THAT DEMONSTRATES THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE ( AKA TWANG)
IF NOT MY NEXT VIDEO DEMONSTRATES HOW TO BALANCE BREATH SUPPORT, VOICE PLACEMENT, AND BALANCING THE NORMAL VOICE, CHEST, HEAD, FALSETTO, AND PHARYNGEAL BY MIXING, BLENDING, OR BOTH MIX/BLENDING FOR BOTH GENDERS.
THE ROOT OF THIS IS TO LIGHTEN THE VOICE BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS TO THEN MAKE SMOOTH TRANSITIONS BETWEEN CHEST & HEAD VOICES, BUT ENOUGH OF TALKING. WHAT A STUDENT WANTS (WHAT I WAS ALWAYS SEEKING AND NEVER GOT) ARE VISUAL AND AUDIAL DEMONSTRATIONS, ANALYSIS AND EXPLANATIONS SO THAT THE STUDENT HAS CLEAR IMAGES OF HOW ITS DONE. UNTIL THEN,
      STAY HEALTHY & GOD BLESS

      HELLO CHRIS,
YOUR COMMENT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS EVER ASKED, HOW IS IT DONE,? BRAVO!!
NO, YOU'RE NOT MISSING ANYTHING AND THE ANSWER AS TO HOW IT'S DONE IS FORTHCOMING.
MY FIRST TUTORIAL IS ON WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, AND WHY IT IS, MY NEXT IS , HOW IT IS DONE.
I'M WORKING ON IT AT THIS MOMENT.
WHAT I'M DOING IS NOT ONLY TO TELL YOU HOW IT IS DONE BUT TO VISUALLY DEMONSTRATE IT, AND SHOW YOU HOW I DO IT AND I'M IN MY MID EIGHTIES.
IT'S BEING DONE METHODICALLY TO PRESENT A MODUS OPERANDI SO ONE CAN TAKE ALL OF IT OR JUST PARTS THAT BEST WORKS FOR YOU.
NO ONE TECHNIQUE WORKS FOR EVERYONE BUT I'M IN THE BELIEF THAT THE ACCUMULATION OF KNOWLEDGE
IN WHAT WORKS FOR YOU IS ONE WAY.
THE MAIN FOCUS IS TO LIGHTEN THE VOICE BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS TO ENABLE YOU TO GO SMOOTHLY FROM YOUR CHEST VOICE THROUGH THE PASSAGGIO INTO THE HEAD VOICE WITHOUT A BREAK, THEN STRENGTHEN THE VOICE BY USING DIAPHRAGMATIC SUPPORT (APPOGGIO) AND ADDING THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE (MIXED OR BLENDED) TO
GIVE THAT BRIGHT TIMBRAL RESONATING QUALITY FOR PROJECTION FOR VOICES THAT ARE NOT NATURALLY BIG!!
      UNTIL THEN'

THIS TUTORIAL IS: WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, AND WHY OF THIS VOCAL TECHNIQUE, MY NEXT IS HOW IT IS DONE WITH ME VISUALLY DEMONSTRATING, THIS WAY IT PROVES THAT THIS IS ONE WAY THAT IT WORKS!
WHEN I SAY NOT COSTING A DIME, I MEAN NOT HAVING TO TAKE LESSONS, EVAN FROM ME!!
BUT REMEMBER NO TECHNIQUE WORKS FOR EVERYONE , AND DON"T FORGET YOUR OWN CORRECT NATURAL IMPULSES
(EVERY ONE IS A LAW UNTO THEMSELVES). SO THAT YOU CAN TAKE THIS TECHNIQUE IN PART, ALL OF IT, OR NON OF IT OR COMBINE YOURS WITH MINE SO THAT I CAN LEARN!! (I NEVER FORGET THAT NO MATTER HOW OLD EVAN AT 87 ONE IS ALWAYS A STUDENT!!!)

Can you please elaborate why baritones and tenors can't have pharyngeal and falsetto voice? I have heard baritones and bases singing high. upto A4-B4 with some pharyngeal mix, and C5-C6 mixing pharyngeal and falsetto

    • @tonysilva9458
      @tonysilva9458  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      HELLLO VICTOR,
I WAS TAUGHT THAT AS A GENERAL RULE BASSES AND SOME BARITONES VOCAL CORDS ARE NOT AS THIN AS TENORS OR FEMALES THEREFORE TOO HEAVY FOR THE VOCAL CORDS TO VIBRATE THAT FAST TO ENGAGE THOSE FREQUENCIES aka HIGH NOTES.
BUT THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS, LUCAS MEACHEM FABULOUS BARITONE HAS A YOU TUBE VIDEO (WHY I AM NOT A TENOR ) WHERE HE SINGS FULL CHESTED HIGH B4.
AGAIN THERE ARE ALWAYS EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULE, THAT BY NATURALNESS OR TRAINED ABILITY
BASSES & BARITONES ARE ABLE TO SING EXTRAORDINARY HIGH NOTES.
LET US NOT FORGET THAT AS CHILDREN BOTH GENDERS HAD SIMILAR HIGH PITCHED VOICES.
MALES DURING THE CHANGE OF VOICE DROP A WHOLE OCTAVE, BUT WE STILL HAVE THAT HIGH VOICE, WE JUST DON'T USE IT, SING IN FALSETTO FROM C4 to C5 AND TEST IT YOURSELF.
AS A RULE BASSES WERE HIGH SOPRANOS BEFORE THE CHANGE OF VOICE.
I ALWAYS SANG AS A POP BARITONE NO HIGHER THAN G4 BUT LATER ON I DEVELOPED THE PHARYNGEAL MIX AND AS YOU CAN HEAR ON MY VIDEO I SING UP TO HIGH A5.
I'M 86 AND MY VOICE HAS DROPPED A MINOR THIRD SO I CAN ONLY DEMONSTRATE TO HIGH F5. THE AGING FACTOR TELLS US ALL THAT THERE IS AN END TO EVERYTHING.
I AM ALSO IN THE BELIEF THAT THE HUMAN VOICE FOR PURPOSES OF EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION HAS ITS LIMITATIONS IN RANGE AND VOLUMN, AND EXCEEDING THOSE BOUNDARIES CONSTITUTES NO LONGER AN EXPRESSIVE SINGING VOICE BUT BRAINLESS FREAKISH SOUNDS! IN WHICH THE HUMAN VOICE WILL ALWAYS COME IN SECOND BEST TO MOST ANIMALS FROM WHALES TO DOLPHINS ! OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NO OPINION !! ( JUST KIDDING)
HOPE THIS SHEDS SOME LIGHT TO YOUR QUESTION.
      STAY HEALTHY AND SAFE

AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AS WELL,
VOICE OF THE MIND IS A GREAT BOOK IN DETAIL BUT WITH NO AUDIO OR VISUAL DEMONSTRATIONS OUR IMAGINATION HAS TO FILL IN THE PHARYNGEAL SOUND. LISTEN TO AUDIO DEMONSTRATION 16:09
I HAVE THE VISUAL/AUDIO OF ME SINGING THE UNMIXED PHARYNGEAL VOICE BLENDING INTO THE HEAD/CHEST VOICE ON HIGH C5 AND I'M GOING TO VISUALLY DEMONSTRATE A MODUS OPERANDI OF WARMING UP THE VOICE BY STRETCHING AND CONTRACTING THE VOCAL CORDS TO SING FROM BASS LOW G1 ( FIRST G ON THE PIANO ) TO TENOR HIGH G5 ( G ABOVE HIGH C5 ) BY APPLYING CAESARIS CONCEPT OF " THE KEY THAT UNLOCKS THE DOOR TO VOCAL TECHNIQUE "
THIS 4 OCTAVE RANGE IS NOT THAT UNUSUAL, JUST LISTEN TO SINGER DIMASH AND HIS 6 OCTAVE RANGE !!
IF I CAN DO THIS AT AGE 83 THIS SHOULD ENCOURAGE SINGERS OF ALL AGES, SOME PROBABLY WITH GREAT POTENTIAL, AFTER ALL, THE CONVENTIONAL 2 OCTAVE RANGE IS ALL THAT'S NEEDED! WHAT IS LACKING
IS KNOWLEDGE , PRACTICE AND PATIENCE !!

FROM ONE TEACHER TO ANOTHER, THERE IS A CHAPTER IN CAESRI'S BOOK ON VOWEL MODIFICATION. VERY , VERY , MUCH IN DETAIL.
WHAT IT SAYS IS THAT AS ONE SINGS FROM LOW TO HIGH THE VOWEL HAS TO CHANGE AS IT GOES FROM CHEST TO HEAD.
IT GOES LIKE THIS.......WIDER VOWELS LIKE THE A (AH), NARROWS FROM AH--AW--OH--OO AS IN (POOL) OR (ULL) ON THE HIGHEST PITCHES.............HARD PALATE TO SOFT PALATE.
      LIKE SAYING THE WORD.....FOUL
NARROWER VOWELS ...........LIKE FEEL (I) OR (EE) TO FILL.........SO THAT IT TRAVELS FROM HARD TO SOFT PALATE SMOOTHLY.
      MEDIUM VOWELS..................FAIL (NAY) TO FILL
A LOT DEPENDS ON THE INDIVIDUALS NATURAL ABILITY,
I WOULD JUST EXPERIMENT , TRY GLIDE SINGING ( LIKE A SIREN) FROM A MEDIUM PITCH IN CHEST VOICE TO HEAD VOICE.....(FEE--ILL)
      GOD BLESS & STAY SAFE

      HELLO MR. RUBEN,
BECAUSE OF HEALTH ISSUES I AM NOT ABLE TO TEACH PRESENTLY, BUT MY NEXT TUTORIAL WILL OFFER AN MODUS OPERANDI ( ONE WAY OF DOING IT )
MY NEXT TUTORIAL IS TO EXPLAIN AND ME VISUALLY DEMONSTRATE THE 5 BASIC FUNDAMENTALS OF SUPPORT, PLACEMENT, VOWEL ROUNDING, MIXING OR BLENDING THE 6 TIMBRAL SOUNDS, AND THE VIVIFICATION OF THE VOICE THROUGH THE EXPRESSION OF THE BASIC EMOTIONS OF GLAD, SAD, MAD.
I'M 87 AND WHAT I WANT TO OFFER THROUGH MY NEXT TUTORIAL ( FREE OF CHARGE AND HOPEFULLY WITHOUT NEED OF LESSONS FROM ME ) IS TO ESTABLISH THESE FUNDAMENTALS ( WHICH I NEVER GOT AS A TEEN, WITHOUT THE STUDENT SPENDING A DIME )
WHY SO BENEVOLENT, ?? I JUST WANT FOR THE YOUNG STUDENTS TO ESTABLISH THESE FUNDAMENTALS AND HOPEFULLY SPEED UP THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND SAVE A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY, AND THANK GOD I
      DON'T THE MONEY RIGHT NOW.
I DON'T SEE ME FINISHING MY NEXT TUTORIAL UNTIL NEXT YEAR AND THE ONLY CONDOLENCES I CAN GIVE IS TO BE PATIENT AND KEEP CHECKING MY TUTORIAL.

      HELLO,
THESE CONDITIONS AND SYMPTOMS YOU DESCRIBE ARE USUALLY SIGNS OF STRAINING, EITHER SINGING TOO LOUD OR
TOO MUCH BREATH PRESSURE ON THE VOCAL CORDS.
MAESTRO SETH RIGGS AND HIS SPEECH LEVEL TECHNIQUE ( SINGING WITH THE EASE OF SPEECH) MEANS THAT YOU SHOULD USE ONLY AS MUCH BREATH PRESSURE IN YOUR SINGING AS YOU WOULD USE IN NORMAL CONVERSATION SPEECH AND NO LOUDER. EVERY TIME YOU COME TO YOUR PASSAGGIO MAKE THE VOICE A LITTLE LIGHTER AND SOFTER AND LIFT UP THE VOICE AS THOUGH YOUR WERE GOING TO DO A VERY LIGHT YAWN.
THIS IS JUST ONE SUGGESTION AMONG MANY.
      GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS'

THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTFUL COMMENT, I AM AT THIS MOMENT WORKING ON IT.
MY FIRST VIDEO ON THE PHARYNGEAL IS, WHAT IS IT, WHERE, WHEN & WHY??
I AM NOW WORKING ON HOW IT IS DONE, SO WHEN I START TEACHING WE CAN ALL BE ON THE SAME PAGE.
THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE APPLYS TO BOTH MALE & FMALE AT F4 (LAST MALE CHEST NOTE) TRANSITIONS TO G4 (FIRST MALE HEAD NOTE). FOR FEMALE, F4 TRANSITIONS INTO HER MIDDLE VOICE THEN TO HER HEAD VOICE.
THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE FOR BOTH MALE & FEMALE IS BEST EFFECTIVE FROM F4 TO F5.
THIS VIDEO IS A SELF TEACH MODUS OPERANDI TO HELP BEGINNERS BALANCE THEIR VOICES IN BREATH SUPPORT, IN PLACEMENT, AND IN MIXING & BLENDING, THE TIMBRAL COLORS. .(CHEST--HEAD--FALSETTO--&--PHARYNGEAL.)
I WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW IT IS DONE ON VIDEO TO MAKE IT CLEARER, I'M 86 AND HAVE TO DO IT SOON TO MAKE IT CREDIBLE WITH NO EXCUSES, AFTER ALL NOTHING IS INFINITE.

      HI REMONT REMONT
I'M NOT SURE IF REMONT MEANS REBORN OR REDO !!!!
BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION THIS AREA OF THE FEMALE VOICE FROM F4 to F5 PLAGUES ALL FEMALES ! FEMALES HAVE THREE CHOICES ,
SING IN A LIGHT PRODUCTION (HEAD VOICE - THIN VOCAL CORDS) SING IN HEAVY PRODUCTION
(CHEST VOICE-THICK VOCAL CORDS) ,OR BLEND-MIX THE HEAD & CHEST VOICES .
IT'S DIFFICULT TO ANSWER AND GIVE ACCURATE ANALYSIS NOT HAVIN HEARD YOU AND IT ALL DEPENDS IF YOU HAVE A HIGH OR LOW VOICE OR IN
BETWEEN . LISTEN TO CELINE DION, WHITNEY HOUSTON , OR LARA FABIAN
TO WHICH YOUR VOICE IS LIKE THEIRS. BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT
YOU LISTEN TO DESSI STEFANOVA AND SINGING WITH TWO VOICES ON
UTUBE , SHE INTRODUCES WHAT I TEACH FEMALES TO MIX BELT WITH
      A BRIGHT SOUND !!!
BY THE WAY 99% OF MY STUDENTS ARE FEMALES AND WHEN I TEACH THE MALES FROM F4 to F5 APPLYS TO THE FEMALES BECAUSE FEMALES
SING AN OCTAVE HIGHER IN OTHER WORDS THE MALE HEAD VOICE IS
THE SAME RANGE AS THE FEMALE MIDDLE VOICE .
I WISH YOU WERE HERE TO TEACH AND YOUR ENGLISH IS GREAT !!
      LOTS OF LUCK

      HELLO,
BECAUSE RECORDING THE VOICE BEGAN IN EARLY 1900, AND THE BEL CANTO ERAS WERE FROM BAROQUE (1600 to 1700), CLASSICAL (1700 to 1750) ROMANTIC (1800 to 1850), WE WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW. ALL WE HAVE ARE WRITTEN DESCRIPTIONS ON THE BEL CANTO HIGH NOTE SINGING. THE VERISMO ERA BEGAN SOON AFTER GILBERT-LOUIS DUPREZ
SANG ALL THE HEAD VOICE TONES WITH PULLING THE CHEST VOICE UP TO HIGH C5 & D5 IN 1831 IN LUCA, ITALY & IN PARIS IN 1837. HE WAS CONSIDERED THE FIRST KING OF THE CHEST HIGH C5. WHAT WE DO KNOW IS THAT THE TIMBRAL COLORS IF THE HUMAN VOICE DON"T SEEM TO CHANGE, BUT THEY CAN BE MIXE, BLENDED, OR MIX/BLENDED.
BECAUSE IT IS SO DIFFICULT TO SING CHEST HIGH C'S & D'S, THE VERISMO COMPOSERS
SELDOM WROTE HIGH C5's, IN THEIR OPERAS SO THE TENORS OF VERISMO OPERA ARE CALLED HIGH Bb4 TENORS.
THROUGH ANALYSIS OF ALL THIS INFORMATION I AM ABLE TO SING FROM F2 TO HIGH A5
AND AT AGE 86 SMOOTHLY WITHOUT A BREAK UP TO HIGH F5, OF COURSE AS I AGE I KEEP LOSING MY STRENGTH AND HIGH NOTES, BUT I CAN DEMONSTRATE SMOOTHLY UP TO HIGH F5. AND THESE ARE ON ON VIDEO.

The demonstrations I see on Utube are all in the wrong octave and not one so far can navigate the passaggio of E4,to G4 with an Italian AH vowel and only an AH vowel is the proof of transition correctly ! I teach only locally in North Hollywood , calif, but there is a book by E, HERBERT CAESARI " VOICE OF THE MIND " especially chapter 22 that can give you some interesting information. Try your local library they might have it .

EITHER WAY THAT VOICE WILL ALWAYS STAY WITH YOU AS AN ADULT ONLY IT BECOMES FALSETTO AND IS PART OF YOUR HEAD VOICE.
AS ADULTS AND AS A RULE, BOY SOPRANOS USUALLY END UP BEING BASSES AND ALTOS USUALLY TENORS OR POSSIBLY ( WHICH IS VERY RARE) COUNTER TENORS.
YOU NEVER LOSE YOUR RANGE BUT GAIN AS MUCH AS AN OCTAVE IN YOUR ADULT CHEST VOICE, AND THAT'S WHERE THE FUN BEGINS , TO CONNECT THE ADULT CHEST VOICE WITH YOUR HEAD VOICE (THAT'S MY JOB). ONLY SINGERS WITH COMPLETELY NATURAL SINGING VOICES WILL NOT NEED VOCAL TECHNIQUE TRAINING, WHICH IS VERY RARE!

    Hello Maestro!!
I am a 21 year old student studying voice at University, and this video is unlike anything I have ever seen. Thank you so much for making this video. I have a question.
You mentioned half way through the video that everyone has the pharyngeal voice besides the bass and the dark baritone. I know you haven't heard me sing, but I fall in the dark baritone category. Does this mean I won't be able to produce these sounds? I just wanted to make sure I understand what you were saying.

    • @tonysilva9458
      @tonysilva9458  4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      HELLO MR. BAVARO,
      AN EXCELLENT QUESTION !!
THE ANSWER IS THIS, I WAS TAUGHT THAT THE MALE DARKER VOICES BECAUSE THE VOCAL CORDS ARE THICKER ( WHAT MAKES THE BARITONE & BASS WARMER & DARK)
HAVE A HARDER TIME GETTING THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE BECAUSE THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE NEEDS THINNER VOCAL CORDS TO PRODUCE THIS SOUND WHICH TENORS HAVE.
IT IS MY BELIEF THAT ALL VOICES CAN PRODUCE THIS SOUND BY THINNING OUT THE VOCAL CORDS AND APPLYING APPOGGIARE (A GENTLE DOWNWARD TONAL PRESSING)
BUT THAT MIGHT MAKE THE BARITONE & BASS VOICES HAVE UNEVEN TIMBRAL QUALITY.
YOU MIGHT TRY DEVELOPING THE PHARYNGEAL SOUND BUT IF IT'S HIGH NOTES YOU'RE
AFTER WHY NOT BLEND AND DEVELOP THE FALSETTO HEAD VOICE INTO THE CHEST
VOICE. I BELIEVE THAT A BASS OR BARITONE HAVE ALL THE HIGH NOTES THAT TENORS
HAVE EXCEPT TENORS VOICES ARE BRIGHTER BY NATURE. (THINNER VOCAL CORDS)
I AM BY NATURE A LIGHT HIGH BARITONE AND IN NEXT TUTORIAL I VISUALLY DEMONSTRATE SINGING HIGH G5 (ABOVE TENOR HIGH C5) DOWN TO LOW G1
(BELOW BASS LOW C2). THE HIGH G5 I'VE ALREADY DEMONSTRATED IN THIS TUTORIAL
BUT THE BASS LOW G1 I LEARNED BY IMITATING BUDDHIST MONKS CHANTING AND A TUTORIAL BY A 16 YEAR OLD EXPLAINING HOW IT WAS DONE, THAT IS, USING THE
FALSE VOCAL CORDS TO ACTIVATE THE TRUE VOCAL CORDS, SO YOU SEE EVAN AN
83 YEAR OLD TEACHER IS A STUDENT !!
IN MY NEXT TUTORIAL, I WILL DEMONSTRATE STEP BY STEP A WAY OF CONNECTING THE CHEST & HEAD VOICES AS I WAS TAUGHT SO THAT STUDENTS WHO CAN'T AFFORD LESSONS WILL HAVE VISUAL PROOF OF AT LEAST ONE WAY OF DOING IT!
I CAN REMEMBER WHEN I WAS 21 AT SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY (CAN YOU IMAGINE 62 YEARS AGO, A WHOLE LIFETIME) WANTING TO SEE AND HEAR A SINGER SINGING EFFORTLESS HIGH C's & D's DOWN TO LOW C2 to G1 UNFORTUNATELY,
I NEVER DID OR HAVE TO DATE ! I WANT TO DO THIS WITHOUT THE STUDENT

      HELLO,
NO, I HAVE NEVER BEEN A TRUE TENOR. ALTHOUGH I CAN SING F5 ABOVE HIGH C5 WITH EASE, SUSTAINING HIGH G4 & HIGH A4 IS VERY HARD FOR ME AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN !!
A TRUE TENOR DOES'NT NECESSARILY HAVE TO SING HIGH C5 , BECAUSE IT IS THAT UNIQUE TIMBRAL QUALITY OF THE TENOR VOICE AND THE ABILITY TO CROSS FROM CHEST (AT F4 TO HEAD G4 ) SMOOTHLY WITHOUT A BREAK INTO THE HEAD VOICE THAT DETERMINES IF YOU ARE A TENOR . MANY GREAT TENOR VOICES OF THE PAST INCLUDING THE GREAT CARUSO NEVER HAD A GOOD HIGH C5 WHERE PAVAROTTI DID IT WITH EASE.
THE CONCLUSION IS THIS.......THE MIND, THE WILL AND DINT OF HARD WORK, KNOWLEDGE , PERSISTENCE, DESIRE,
PATIENCE, AND PASSION ALL TAKE PART IN THE FINAL DECIDING FACTOR.
IN MY NEXT TUTORIAL (IN THE MAKING) I WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW TO MAKE THE VOICE LIGHTER TO MAKE IS EASIER TO GO FROM CHEST TO HEAD VOICE SMOOTHLY, UNTILL THEN,

IN ROMANTIC OPERA BELLINI'S "I PURITANI" THE ARIA " CREDEASI MISERIA" LISTEN TO TWO GREAT TENORS, NICOLAI GEDDA, & LUCIANO PAVAROTTI TRY TO SING A HIGH F5 ABOVE HIGH C5, WITHOUT THE CORRECT REFINEMENT OF MIXING OR BLENDING AND THEN LISTEN TO MY TUTORIAL ME SINGING CORRECTLY THE BLENDING Bb3 TO HIGH F5 SCALE. ( RECENTLY EDITED ) ( AHA !!!!!!! I JUST FOUND A MAGNIFICENT TENORE DI GRAZIA SINGING THE SAME ARIA WITH THE HIGH F5 NOT ONLY CORRECTLY BUT WITH GREAT SUPERNAL VOCAL QUALITY !!!!! ( LAWRENCE BROWNLEE ), HE SINGS THE HIGH F5 WITH THE MIXTURE OF PHARYNGEAL & FALSETTO............THIS TENOR IS THE GREATEST EXAMPLE !!!!!!!!!!
NOW, I WOULD NOT EVER TRY TO COMPARE MYSELF TO THESE GREAT TENORS, JUST THE CORRECT BLENDING OF THE SCALE IN MY TUTORIAL. PAVAROTTI SINGS THE F5 IN PURE FALSETTO, AND GEDDA SINGS IT IN SOMEWHAT PHARYNGEAL, BUT BROWNLEE TOTALLY, MAGNIFICENTLY, BEAUTIFULLY, CORRECTLY !!!!!
LISTEN TO MY TUTORIAL, I SANG UP TO HIGH A5, NOW AT 87 YEARS OLD MY HEALTH ISSUES AND MY STRENGTH IS LEAVING ME BUT I CAN STILL SING CORRECTLY UP TO HIGH F5 AND I'M NOT A TENOR BUT A HIGH BARITONE.
NOWADAYS THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE AND THE DEPLOYMENT OF IT IS UP FOR GRABS, I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU SOME HISTORY OF ITS BEGINNINGS.
BY THE WAY, IF YOU SANG UP TO Eb5, THAT'S THE TRUE TENORS RANGE.
THE TRUE TENORS RANGE USING PHARYNGEAL VOICE IS:
LOWEST TO F4 CHEST VOICE NO PHARYNGEAL ( FEMALES....YES)
HEAD F4 ---F#4 TO C5 MIX OR BLEND PHARYNGEAL (MALES)
HIGH C5 AND ABOVE (NO HEAD VOICE MIX ) PURE PHARYNGEAL MIXED WITH OR WITHOUT FALSETTO.
THE SINGING JOURNEY HAS JUST BEGUN ENJOY THE DEVINE ART OF SINGING, FOR IT IS A BLISS
GOD BLESS YOU AND STAY SAFE
      MR. SILVA

Hi Sir, what about baritones? Where do you think their chest and pharyngeal mix typically lie?

    • @tonysilva9458
      @tonysilva9458  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      HI TIMLIU 92,
IN GENERAL BETWEEN Eb4 to G4 , BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON TWO FACTORS .
A HIGH OR LIGHT BARITONE ( LIKE MYSELF ) AROUND F4 AND G4 , BUT A DARK BARITONE AROUND THE TYPICAL Eb4 to F4 .
LIGHTER BARITONES WITH THIN VOCAL CORDS CAN STRADDLE THE LINE
BETWEEN BARITONE AND TENOR ( LISTEN TO ME AT 2:47 SING FROM F2 to F4
AND THEN ON TO G5 ABOVE HIGHC5 )
A DARK BARITONE WITH THICKER VOCAL CORDS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PRODUCE
THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE AT ALL !! BUT CAN STILL SING HIGH !
IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE ABILITY TO THIN OUT THE VOCAL CORDS .
EITHER THROUGH A LEARNING PROCESS OR THROUGH NATURAL MEANS .
      THESE ARE EXCELLENT QUESTIONS !
THE PURPOSE OF THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE IS ADD BRIGHTNESS TO THE BASIC VOICE
BE IT HEAD OR CHEST AND WAS MENT FOR MALE VOICES TO SOUND LIKE FEMALES FROM F4 to F5 DURING THE BAROQUE ERA, IT CAN NOW BE USE FOR STRENGTHENING THE
FEMALE F4 to F5 FOR BRIGHT MIX BELTING . TRY NOT TO THINK OF THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE AS AN AREA BETWEEN CHEST AND HEAD BUT AS A
      BRIGHT COLORING SOUND !!!
MY NEXT TUTORIAL I WILL DEMONSTRATE HOW THIS IS DONE .
      GOOD LUCK .

I believe true baritones need to start introducing thinner vocal folds from middle C onwards in order to successfully navigate upwards without a strangled sound.

      HELLO MR A DRIAN,
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING MY TUTORIAL AND NO, I DON'T TEACH ONLINE YET.
AS I'VE ANSWERED TO OTHERS I'M WAITING TO FINISH MY NEXT TUTORIAL
WITH LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS OF ME SINGING THIS VOCAL TECHNIQUE .
I'M TRYING TO MAKE IT AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE SO THAT STUDENTS WILL SAVE TIME AND MONEY.
I'M 84 AND STILL HAVE THE VOCAL ABILITY TO DEMONSTRATE HOW TO CONNECT CHEST & HEAD VOICES SMOOTHLY WITHOUT A BREAK IN THE VOICE AT THE PASSAGGIO ( F4 to G4 ) THEN ON TO HIGH C5 to G5 WITH MINIMAL
      EFFORT.
IF I CAN DO THIS AT AGE 84, STUDENTS WITH THEIR YOUTH, ENERGY,
STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SPEED UP THEIR PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR TECHNIQUE.
      UNTIL THEN, STAY SAFE
      MR. SILVA

What I don't get is how the tounge stays flat and how the air doesn't run out.

      HELLO,
SPEECH LEAVEL SINGING, ( SINGING WITH THE EASE OF SPEECH )
USING ONLY AS MUCH AIR NEEDED TO PRODUCE A LIGHT TONE WITH THE SAME DECIBEL
      LEVEL AS IN SPEECH
SO IN REFERENCE TO MY VISUAL DEMONSTRATIONS THE BEST I CAN ANSWER IS:
THE TONGUE & SOFT PALATE RISES AND LOWERS ON HIGH NOTES IN EQUAL DEGREE
      LIKE A PAIR OF SCISSORS.
ADDUCTING (CLOSING) THE VOCAL CORDS SO THAT MORE SOUND & LESS AIR IS RATIONED OUT FOR THAT VOWEL AND PITCH. IT'S A MATTER OF PRACTICE, PRACTICE , PRACTICE.
DON'T FORGET THAT EVERY STUDENT IS A LAW UNTO HIMSELF, MEANING THAT SOME CAN DO TECHNICALLY WRONG SINGING AND STILL SOUND GOOD, ONLY TO PAY THE PRICE LATER ON !
      GOD BLESS & STAY SAFE

è lo stesso metodo di cui parlava il cantante Gino Bechi, cioè cantare con il fondo della gola?

    • @tonysilva9458

HELLO OR SHOULD I SAY CIOU, GIOVANNI,
I DON'T SPEAK THE BEAUTIFUL ITALIAN LANGUAGE SO I'LL ANSWER IN ENGLISH.
I LOOKED UP GINO BECHI ON THE INTERNET AND HEARD HIS BEAUTIFUL VOICE.
A GLORIOUS VOICE THAT HAD THE WARM RICHNESS OF A BASSO CANTANTE WITH THE VOCAL RANGE OF A VERDIAN BARITONE WITH A TOP NOTE G4 WITH EASE AND PROBABLY UP TO AN HIGH Bb4.
WHAT EVER TECHNIQUE MAESTRO BECHI USED AND TAUGHT WOULD HAVE TO BE CORRECT.
AS FAR AS CANTANDO "IL FONDO DELLA GOLA" AS OPPOSE TO SINGING IN "LA MASCARA",
MAESTRO BECHI HAD BOTH , A BRILLIANT FORWARD AND FULL THROATED SOUND.
I TEACH THE SAME...........LA VOCE DI PETTO IN IL PALATO DURO ( LOWEST TO F4 ) E LA VOCE DI TESTA IL PALATO MOLLE O LA CUPOLA DEL PALATO MOLLE. ( PASSAGGIO F#4------G4 TO HIGH C5 ) ABOVE HIGH C5 THE MIX OF VOCE FARINGEA AND FALSETTO, THAT WAY I CAN TILL SING UP F5, I USE TO SING UP TO Bb5, BUT I'M 87 YEARS OLD AND TIME CATCHES UP !!! IN MY TUTORIAL WITH THIS TECHNIQUE I SING UP FROM LOW F2 to G5 ( 3 OCTAVES ).
IN MY NEXT TUTORIAL I DEMONSTRATE VISUALLY ME SINGING FROM G1 TO G5 ( 4 OCTAVES )
NOBODY NEEDS 4 OCTAVES ( 2 OCTAVES IS SUFFICIENT ). I AM IN THE BELIEF THAT ALL MALE VOICES FROM BASSO TO TENOR CAN SING UP TO C5 IF THEY APPLY THEIR CHILDS VOICE ( WHICH IN THE ADULT MALE VOICE IS NOW CALLED FALSETTO ) ( MY OPINION ONLY ). IT IS THE SMOOTH TRANSITION FROM CHEST TO HEAD VOICE WITHOUT A BREAK THAT WE SEEK,
      ANYWAY FOR NOW
CIOU . GOD BLESS AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY
      MR. SILVA

      @@amadeomiotto4573 HELLO AGAIN MR, MIOTTO
I'VE SEEN SEVERAL VIDEOS OF MAESTRO LOFORESSE AND SINCE I DON'T SPEAK ITALIAN I DON'T UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING HE IS SAYING.
UP TO NOW MY ANALYSIS WOULD BE THAT HE IS ONE OF THOSE RARE
INDIVIDUALS THAT HAS A COMPLETELY NATURAL SINGING VOICE COUPLED WITH GREAT HEALTH!! HOW ELSE CAN SOMEBODY BE SINGING THAT WELL IN HIS NINETIES.
IF HE STILL LIVING HE MUST BE 100
AS FOR THE PELVIC FLOOR SUPPORT YOU CAN BET IT'S PROBABLY NATURAL AS WELL.
THERE IS A BOOK BY MAESTRO E. HERBERT-CAESARI THAT HAS EXTRAORDINARY INFORMATION IN GREAT DETAIL ON VOCAL TECHNIQUE, A WHOLE CHAPTER ON THE PHARYNGEAL VOICE, HOW IT WAS USED DURING THE BAROQUE & ROMANTIC ERAS WORTHWHILE
EXPLORING. THE BOOK IS "VOICE OF THE MIND" AND HAS ADVICE ON SUPPORT & APPOGGIARE BY BENIAMINI GIGLI .
IT IS FROM THESE MASTERS THAT WE GET THE CORRECT VOCAL TECHNIQUE. YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK IT UP.
      I HOPE THIS HELPS
      SINCERELY
