I have practiced this piece for over a year. It's a great piece but I'm exhausted after playing it. My embouchure is done i.e. he's wiping his mouth constantly. It's not easy. The piano accompaniment is very tricky with this piece. both of you have to really be listening to each other and the cues are crazy. Oh, and he decided not to do the high "D" in the end I see. It's optional.

I really like his tempo. So many flutists play this piece fast fast and faster. There are so many beautiful nuances that are missed at fast tempos.
