The first major hook point for most onepiece fans , luffy placing his hat, his treasure on namis head.
1st major hooking point was the intro on episode 1
I love it when Luffy said "You are my One Piece" to nami and one piece'd all over the place
@@fightme4136not funny bro
@@fightme4136the fuc*!
@@BRUH-lk3cv Luffy first flash back is my hook, and it should be in first eps if follow the manga
Nami asking Luffy for help is still a top 5 One Piece moment for me. Amazing scene.
There's no going back now.
Can't wait for them to see foxy arc
@@sheepboy2560 They will skip it most likely
@@GloriousAOnah it's canon I don't think they'll skip cannon
They should not skip Canon arcs wtf
@@sheepboy2560 They have no sense of humor, so yeah it'll be rough.
Love that Carter picks up and appreciates the deeper meaning of luffy giving her the hat in that moment. Nami had to get over such a big hurdle in order to trust luffy and ask for help when she had lost her treasure. This is what people really love about luffy. He recognises that no words are going to reassure her in this moment and instead gives her the hat to say “you trusted me with your treasure (the village) I’ll trust you with mine”.
I don't get why he needs more info to understand why Luffy's hat is his treasure. The backstory covers that. His idol and person who saved his life gave it to him and told him to return it when he's a great pirate. How is that not enough?
Read the title, "Anime HATERS".
maybe he doesn't remember the story cause it's been lots of episodes and things happening
Yh, Cannon was waffling, lol. I think he forgot some details about the backstory, which happens, but you'd expect Jack to remind him.
Either he forgot the backstory or maybe wants to see more of shanks and luffy's bonding to feel like attachment luffy have with his straw hat.
@@MAT-wn5frI expected jack to speak a little ngl in the reactions, just to explain some stuff without giving spoilers ofc but he has been very quiet idk why.
24:00 I think if someone is a good friend of yours and saves your life from a sea king while losing an arm to do so and they decide to entrust something to you, it's not too hard to believe that it would become important to you. If Shanks gave Luffy a sock he'd 100% take care of it and probably wear it on his head too
Fax
Exactly, but I don't think he'd wear the sock on his head. Probably would put it on something else...
😂
I love how Luffy don't have any problem with Hachi , Kurobii and Chuu ... he pull up and ask where's arlong , he don't care who he is , he doesn't know who he is .. all he knows that Arlong is responsible
he didn't even need to hear Nami's story to have a reason to fight for her, that's why he's so cool
started bawling when Nami turned around and asked Luffy for help with a broken/desperate voice 😭😭 A+++ voice acting especially the knife part
Thissa I need people to recognize how absolutely brilliant Nami’s va to bring out the best possible acting to make the situation more tense than it already is, the way she screamed higher when grabbing Arlong by the neck with wrath, her telling Luffy to get tf outta her village while desperately throwing sand, likee she isss sooooo good!
Finally! Ep 37 is what made people realize how 🐐ed Oda is with his writing. Literally everything else gets better from here, the writing, foreshadows, and backstories. Can’t wait for enies lobby.
Usopp is hardly anyone's favorite, but I still like him, even though he's afraid he tries to help, at the beginning of this arc he distracted the fishmen so they would stop attacking the village, he was captured but the objective was accomplished
Yeah, I think he is always the least likable at this point of the show. He steps up as the show moves on
I mean think of it this way. He is surrounded by literally monsters, as a kinda normal human and he still tries his best.
debatable, he does more unlikable things as the show goes on. Many people's most hated usopp moment is quite understandable, although he gets redeemed in the same arc
@@SuryaGupta-te7fq His lowest point was in Dressrosa and at the same time it was his highest point too.
I think everyone comes to appreciate Usopp's hard work eventually, his fault is that he's just weak (and a liar but that doesn't really affect much most of the time) but you just gotta cheer for him when you see him using absolutely everything he can to take on people that are way stronger than him.
don't mock GOD USOPP.
Lets be real we all mocked usopp at one point😂 that's how his character is compared to others
I love One Piece and Usopp, but I dislike that blasphemous name 😂

That legendary walk, gets me hyped everytime I see it! I’m about to watch episode 1000 today, so interesting to rewatch all these episodes and noticing the little things. Such a legendary journey!
And it wasn't even in the manga😂
@@theanalyser8456 peak piece has no such limitations, anime has moments that are greater than manga sometimes.

In the manga, Arlong shot Bell-mère right in the head. The anime censored it, as you can see.

Walk to Arlong Park: For me, it's the first major One Peak moment in One piece
And it's not even in the manga😂
@@theanalyser8456 the animation crew capitalized on a great opportunity then
Are you including Luffy giving his hat to Nami as part of that moment?
I don't get how the walk would be above that.
The walk is iconic and still gets me hyped, but it's poorly paced, and the execution is a little off imo.
It drags and starts to get goofy af when you see the boys walking in the wrong direction, and at one part, it looked like they were walking sideways 😂
Putting usopps story into context :
Usopp was 7yrs old when his mother died. His father was away as a pirate and he had no one else as a parenting figure . When we usopp leaving his house to join the crew , we see its the same house that his mother died in and he lives alone in there . In other words he's been living alone since he was about 7 . We never see usopp with a job , he was probably leaving off his mothers savings which considering the state of his house wasnt very much , which means he would have had to make everything to eat since then .
Other than kaya and usopp pirates he has no other friends. Usopp can't have been friends with the kids for more than a few years considering how much younger they are, and only befriended Kaya since her parents died a few years ago. This means that between the age of around 7 to around 15 Usopp had no friends as well as no family .
Usopp probably kept lying about pirates coming even after his mother died to give himself hope that someone st ill cared about him, and he wasn't completely alone in the world, because his father still loved him enough to come back and take him out to sea.
Him lying to the villagers was probably the only time he actually interacted with anyone.
Maybe the reason he's so good at drawing and crafting things is because he had so much time alone that all he could do to pass the time was draw and play by himself
Usopp understood how lonely and isolated and depressed Kaya was after her parents died, so he chose to tell her stories every day because he didn't want her to have to be alone like he was.
Kaya was one of his only friends, so when she didn't believe him when he was trying to save her from kuro that must've hurt..
When Luffy told him to join the crew he was shocked because he was so unused to having anyone actually want him to be part of their lives and not dismiss him as just a lying troublemaker .
Its just that surface goofiness , design and usopp not having the coolness and not having that anime Aura makes him the least liked for many initially . But most of his actions arise from his tragic childhood .
i ain’t reading all that. good luck tho, or sorry for your loss
I love usopp so much. He's so real. He's a flawed character. He's a normal human. He represents "US", like how humans really react in dire situations, plus he's also a comedic relief.
Something else I like about Usopp is that he's the only crewmember who presumably has never been at sea, and has never had any sort of combat training. I can't imagine living on a small island my whole life and then suddenly jumping on a boat to "become a brave warrior of the sea" with no prior experience at all. The other strawhats up until this point have all trained in some way to fight. Usopp has been alone playing with children this whole time. And he STILL steps up when he's scared. He's the Bravest strawhat.
I love this comment.
One piece fans assemble
9:10 "You called her a rat." 😆
12:40 "Shut up! Stop!" Getting upset thinking Nojiko might die, great reaction.
18:49 That, "NO!", when it ended. 😂 I love it!
Man, I knew I was gonna cry watching Bellemere's death again and yep, couldn't stop the tears from flowing.
I'm glad y'all loved the, "Luffy...help me." scene, because it's a very highly regarded moment in the series. I appreciate Carter loving the part where Luffy put his hat on Nami too. Seriously that whole scene, plus the walk, is all amazing. And hey, thanks for correcting Cannon on the pronunciation of Usopp's name. 😂
Loved the reactions to these two episodes guys! Can't wait for more!
15:42 I hate this kind of feeling😂 when you're trying to act tough and then someone hugs you and you just melt. Damn

I think they are underestimating Sanji...They don't know how strong he is..
Which is a bit weird honestly😅 his introduction was at a fighting restaurant and they saw that he was raised by a pirate. And he kicked Momoo just a couple eps ago lol
0:10 WHO?? IS ENJOKU?
The way they use “brother” for zoro is as a friend and sign of respect. Not blood brothers
How are you guys still gonna disrespect my boy Usopp like this?
In due time he will become their favorite character 🤷♂️
Damn cannon wants more depth with luffys relationship with shanks...the king of screentime😭💀
"The Walk to Arlong Park" is sooooo goated scene in One Piece history 🤧💪
Oh don't hate Usopp so much. They all have their roles to play and I feel like Usopp represents a lot of things and being the one without inhumane power is one of them. We are all closer to Usopp than Zoro or Luffy. Come on. :P
Yeah, seriously, on a crew of monsters, Usopp and Nami are the normies 😂
Ep 37 is when everyone becomes a One Piece fan
This Ussop slander is wild, he's probably the bravest of them all!!
One of the best anime walks in history 17:41

In a lot of manga this backstory would probably be one of the saddest messed up backstories. This isn't even top 5 in One Piece
Just because it's old and there isn't much death doesn't mean it's less sad

Ngl I like usopp but hes definitely not a top strawhat for my personal favorite ranking and ive been caught up for years
I find him really annoying at wano, just wish there were more moments from him other than just being scared, but I still like the guy overall, he can make me laugh at some points
@@NathanielSam I wish both Ussop and Nami were less scared and grew more powerful... That's something I'd like to see changed.

Clicked so fasttttttt! C'mon!!!! Ikzo!!!!!
Ussop being worthless here in this arc is probably the worst analysis. You have forgotten a couple episodes ago how he saved the village people from Arlong ‘s rampage, yes he didn’t defeat arlong and he was caught but the goal was accomplished, imagine you’re just a normal guy standing up for the people you don’t even know facing “monsters”. If that act is not worthy idk what is.
It's GOAT PIECE for a reason man. You guys are just in the starting, imagine what's more to come we have more than 1000 eps left. It's my all time fav anime out of all for a reason.
Arlong PEAK for a reason!!!
my fav episodes Let's go
Glad you guyz like it
I genuinely cannot tolerate the Usopp hate, especially so early in the series... People love to call him worthless just because he's not as physically strong as Zoro or Luffy or Sanji, but that's not what makes him valuable. His backstory might not seem as tragic as others, but it's still incredibly meaningful. Plus, his loyalty, intelligence, and heart are what make him such an essential part of the crew. If you're still in the East Blue saga, give him time he’ll show you how much courage and value he really has
or he simply sucks
I love usopp so much. He's so real. He's a flawed character. He's a normal human. He represents "US", like how humans really react in dire situations, plus he's also a comedic relief.
I honestly feel like it's toxic masculinity every time I see a guy hate on Usopp. And I think that's what bothers me.
@@katayloveinteresting observation. I'm a girl and even tho usopp is not my fav character, i appreciate him and tbh there is not a single crew member i hate. Like all of them are so "unhatable" if that's even a word lol...anyways moving on to the point yeah, these guys continuously calling usopp the worst guy and hating on him in every reaction is just not sitting well with me. Like what do they want? Every crew member to be like the monster trio? That would be boring. The fact like usopp is so different and most like "us" the real humans is one of things which makes us appreciate oda's characters.
@@Snowhite-tx4sm exactly, like why does every "good" character have to be "strong" to be taken seriosuly? Which is funny because every crew member has a weakness and its usually used as comedic relief. Eventually they will notice Zoros weakness but they will still call him goated because he's good with swords. Even with Sanji, they will overlook his simp behavior and still like him more than Usopp because hes "strong". This idea that strength is only physical and can only be shown through "fearless fighting style" seems to be a small brained masculine value. I always see male reactors LOVE Zoro and hate Usopp for no other reason than the surface level shit of "zoros strong and cool" and "Usopp is weak and sucks". It's infuriating how even someone like Carter who is typically really good at analyzing media can't even see Usopps worth. I hope that changes because there's still a lot to be seen, but the hate just feels so strong with this one for no real reason other than ingrained toxic masculinity.
WHERE IS MCKAY
I get the hate that Usopp receive in arcs where he doesn't do nothing, but I don't get why people hate on him on this arc for example, he literally went against Arlong alone to save Gen, when the rest wasn't even on the village yet, he was the first to go against the fish people. Regardless if he end it up running aways and making them lose him, he still save Gen's life at that point, and showed how much he cared about Nami and the village this whole arc. It doesn't matter if his legs be trembling, if he does his part he does his part, I don't get why people are sooo annoyed with him when he is literally helping, just because he is a coward lmao.
Because people get carried away in the anime world. Everyone is strong and can do amazing things and then there is an outlier like Usopp who is a normal human and they feel like he doesn’t belong there.
i mean lets not forget he also left zoro tied up and ran when the fishmen appeared lmao 😭 its okay to admit that he does messed up stuff sometimes, he’ll grow on them later on as his character develops
Fun fact for anyone who cares:
Nami only stabs herself twice in the manga compared to 8 times in the anime.
So Luffy stood there and watched Nami stab herself 6 more times 😂
Just something dumb and funny to think about.
I love usopp so much. He's so real. He's a flawed character. He's a normal human. He represents "US", like how humans really react in dire situations, plus he's also a comedic relief.
Luffy never really cared about Arlong until he heard Nami repeatedly shouting his name while stabbing herself. At that point, he knew he had to beat up this "Arlong" guy.
I love Usopp! I love that he’s a regular guy surrounded by extraordinary people. In an environment like that, you either step back or step up and he consistently steps up more and more. He’s already made progress within the episodes you’ve seen! He’s definitely insecure, especially in these earlier episodes, but I appreciate how realistic that is! ❤
To answer Canon's question about why do Luffy consider the hat his treasure and why he value shanks that much ileven though he didn't really spend a long time with him is that it was becuz of Shakns that Luffy's dream even started , meeting Shanks and his crew opened Luffy's eyes about a world he never knew exsisted (he knew pirates exsists but uk what I mean) it's what ecouraged him to start this journey and do what he is doing so Shanks is someone really important to him and so is the hat .
Yall are still just in the intro of one piece is dont think op truly starts until you get to water 7..and how dare you diss sanji hes just as powerfully as zoro just not in attack he's stronger in defense and brains and pervyness
Finally, the walk that made me hooked. I started this during covid lockdowns, stayed for the epicness
God that scene still hits so damn hard, from the moment Nami started ripping at her tattoo to the moment you see the boys pull up, ABSOLUTE PEAK, just emotional af and epic af at the same time.
Nami's "Luffy... Help me" has echoed in my head ever since I watched this episode for the first time like 2 nearly 3 years ago, there's just so much emotion in that one line that it just sticks with you, and then Luffy shows how much Nami means to him by giving her the one thing he calls his treasure... God I love this show, being caught up sucks bro I just wanna binge dozens of episodes in one sitting 😭

That's a good analysis. Basically, Luffy gave his treasure, his strawhat, to Nami so that he could go protect Nami's treasure, Villagers who went to fight Arlong to die.
This kind of Usopp hate is exactly why he goes through what he goes through in a later arc.... being the "weakest" crew member isn't fun. I love Usopp so much.
It hasn't even started yet boys...
This is the prelude, the prepping stage, the story really starts once they get to the Grand Line!
This will become y'alls favorite story. Because it is the greatest story ever told!
Ps.: the re-read goes waaaay too nuts, Oda is Goda of a reason. 20 years of foreshadowing is a common thing, specially with the point we are on the manga, u buys came late, but still in time, u guysvare not ready...
ONE PEAK
peak piece
Just think of shank as Luffy's biggest idol. Just think about someone you really really look up to and getting something important from them. Ofc you will treasure it
The moment when you see Nami at her most lowest and desperate, is where I believe most people will ultimately know that they will go for the long haul for the story of One Piece. Oda will break hearts by doing this throughout the story - he will present the characters (good and bad) and then at some point, he will tell you their story. He will dissect them and show you the most deepest and darkest moments of their lives, how and why they are who they are. And when we get to a point where it seems like things are hopeless or too much, Oda will then build back the feeling of hope by having Luffy come in and kick some ass for his friends.
Luffy is the type of friend we all need. Once he becomes your friend, it doesn't matter what kind of backstory you have. He doesn't need to know everything about you; all you have to do is ask for his help, and he will do it. His loyalty is unwavering, and he will stand by you through the toughest battles without a second thought. Even if the odds are against him, Luffy never backs down when it comes to protecting his friends, always believing in their potential and never judging them for their past. His heart is as big as his dreams, and he inspires those around him to keep pushing forward no matter what.
If you don’t like usopp I can understand but he’s comedic relief for me and a sense of what a normal person in one piece would be like. He might be constantly scared but he does find bravery throughout the series to keep on moving forward and doing what he can for the people around him and I respect him. This is my favorite show and can’t wait to see your reactions throughout the amazing moments in this masterpiece.
I feel like Jack should stop explaining things to them in between the episode. Let them learn at their pace. PLEASE!
Don't you ever underestimate Usopp, he is the most creative when it comes to fighting. (I suddenly remember him and perona😂)
the beginning of the arlong vs luffy is a bit drawn out imo, but the end of the fight is another peak moment
Edit: and yes, i think each members backstory ones up the last in a way
At the beginning when we see the fish people for the first time we all think they really have some kind of superiority. But after a while seeing the scale of "power" in the one piece world it become less and less significant to breath under the water 😅
Yep, watching this back in the day despite the censored version. Still crying so hard 😂🤌🏻
Peak is here! 😢 It's been years and this hits hard! Side note: Happy for Jack that he finally gets to gush about op with his friends.

I love watching these One Piece reactions through Jacks eyes LOL. I feel the giddyness and happiness about you guys enjoying the show through the screen. The Walk and Luffy giving his hat to Nami are still to this day one of the many fan favorite moments and definitely one of the earliest points the show can get you hooked.
One of the first highs. Expect many more! I wish i could experience everything fresh again, but this will do.
Luffy putting his hat on Nami’s head, and the walk to arlong park is what made me fall in love with love one piece.
The Usopp slander will comtinue but be far less in the future
LMAO jack getting all the heat for nojiko getting shot
I just want to say something about Usopp. Luffy doesn't view pirating as some criminal gang plundering villages and being terrible people. "Pirate" is just another word for "person who is free" to him, so when he recruits his crewmembers, he doesn't have specific utilities in mind to further his criminal gang. He simply sees it as friends going on an adventure. Usopp is his friend, so he wants him on his ship. He does still have his utilities you'll see sprinkled around the show, but for the most part, none of that matters to Luffy or why Usopp is there.
Yes that's the reason I like water 7 so much, it really brings usopp's perspective on how people see him as 'useless'
Let's gooo I've been so hyped for this reaction
