Yes. Because as you can see he was too scared to admit back then like he was scared to admit he was the one who initiated the kiss with Neungdiao. It's him being scared to admit he likes guys that made him reject Chopper even if he also likes him.

@@yesizh1497 Chopper must have keep the distance between them because he taught Ben doesn't like guys. Hence Ben thinking Chopper was mad or angry because he rejected him. It must have felt awkward for both of them because of the confession and rejection.
So Ben was basically trying to move on because he thought chopper probably has moved on. But he took choppers advice back from ep 4 when he said you should confess because you may not have that chance again and is now finally telling him what he really feels and has always felt ( I think) :’)
Yes, when Chopper encouraged him to confess, Ben had a moment stunned, but quickly pretend normal, later Ben actually observed Chopper's reaction, want to make sure is he telling the truth, but he felt Chopper move on...I think Ben likes Chopper in the beginning, but they were close friends at first, he might be confused + his dad homophobic... of curse he afraid to admit first, needs to consider only senior high, Ben maybe not sure about his sexuality, later Chopper kept a distance to him. If they were close friends, that timing Ben definitely felt alone, and then he met Nueng, attracted by his music.
