I don't care what some 'modern' drinkers may say - the big Burton brewers knew how to make a magnificent pint! I'm fed up of the description of some of today's beers by 'artisan' breweries as being 'floral' - I'll buy flowers if I want that taste! The same with the all too common 'citrus' description. There is a total misconception that just because it's a couple of blokes in a converted pigsty, who've done a little course on brewing - then it must be better, much of it is certainly not. I'm beginning to think the beer bore is even worse than their wine drinking equivalent!
