Bosnia is a country I need to visit. Although I dont think my dad would join me as he is in bad health due to his drinking. He never drank a drop of alcohol from his early 20s until his late 30's, but he recently told me some of the stuff he saw during the conflict and he was in Bosnia as a journalist during the time when the Srebrenica massacre occured and I think this is the reason he started drinking again from what he saw there, becuase when he came back to the UK he was a very different person to when he left.
This was a very interesting tour, the architecture was beautiful as well, this is definitely on my list of places to travel. The only place ive been to in the Balkans is Zagreb and Dubrovnik in Croatia, but I wouldnt recommend Dubrovnik now, as it is absolutely rammed with tourists despite Dubrovniks population being about 50k. Zagreb has a lovely old town on the hill overlooking the city, not sure if you have been Joseph?

Crazy story. Definitely a dark history here but worth a visit.

I haven't been Croatia yet. Could be on the list though.
