      I have Larue Predatobr 308. Trying buying replacement parts for it. It's almost impossible to get replacement parts from Larue. Try buying a spare BCG for it. They will not sell it, even when you can prove you have on of their rifles. If you want to buy just the bolt it comes in a BS $400 package with other parts you don't need. They package comes with a 20 round mag that they cannot ship to California anyway. Love the rifle, dislike the manufacturer.

    Funny that you should make this video. I had been a long time buyer of LaRue products and had written many positive reviews on his website. One time though, I wrote a tongue-in-cheek review of a product, (it was still a 5 armadillo review), where I was upset that I didn't get a jar of "Dillo Dust." In the review, I jokingly said that was the reason I buy LaRue products. Five minutes after posting, the review was wiped from the site and later I learned that all my reviews were MIA. Geissele triggers are better if simply because there are far more options. 1 or 2 stage, differing weights, multiple trigger faces, competition triggers, etc. I have a Larue MBT and have a Geissele SSA-E and 2 x SD-E triggers and the Geissele triggers are better, however the Larue is comparable and a market disruptor at present moment. I did have to purchase the barrel nut wrench, and the shims are a bit fiddly, but overall a very good product. I hope Larue gets it together. I've always liked the company and their products, especially when their triggers were $89. Pretty lame. I suppose it's a decent business ploy to entice people to keep getting those rails after investing in the nut wrench. I will say it's a pretty rock solid rail at least, no complaints there.
      Gotta say though that my favorite rail remains the centurion c4 quad. Suprisingly very light weight, uses a gi barrel nut and that lock up is dare I say better than the geissele

    I was wondering why LaRue prices jumped (even the fantastic LBT-2S went from $89.95 to $115). I've always been a fan of LaRue products (and I do miss the Dillo Dust and the armadillo bottle openers), but there is a lot of good stuff out there for similar prices now. I only own two Geissele products which I really like: the airborne charging handle, and the maritime bolt release...both purchased at significant discount. I have a couple of ALG AK triggers which are excellent.
    I'm probably not alone in the fact I will NEVER buy a $250+ trigger for any reason, regardless of having the funds to do so. There's a bit too much 'tacticool tax' on firearm accessories for me.

    • @fidel-3470
      @fidel-3470 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

      The price for the LBT-2S was like $250 back in the day, then for "Black Friday" they would drop the price to approximately $75 if you bought 2 or more. About 10 years ago they just kept the Black Friday pricing inexplicably. For a year the forums joked about it being a pricing mistake.
      I don't know if they were financially making money on the trigger, or if it was a business tactic of a Loss Leader. But truly, just about everything Larue offers is super reasonably priced.

    I had the LAT and SAT rails. The LAT is currently at the machine shop getting the worst idea ever fixed..... That means the area that will only allow tiny little gas blocks to pass through is being opened up to allow my piston gas block to pass through. I like Larue but they will never be on the level of Geissele. The only thing that is comparable is the trigger. The Larue has a captured disconnector and a very solid 2nd stage wall. None of the Geissele triggers have a 2nd stage wall that is as defined as the Larue, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

    Also the AccARizer couldn't have been released at a worse time. He made it with the thought of "No one is using their old carry handle ARs, let's give them something to get some use out of them". Dude should have know that retro ARs have been ridiculously popular for the past 5ish years. Maybe a decade ago when the craze wasn't there or a decade from now when the craze dies out, but right now retronerds want carry handles FOR the carry handle.

    • @Leodigarius
      @Leodigarius 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yeah, this isn't why it was made.
      It was made because they got a contract from a country to make them. They didn't just make a retarded product for the sake of going full retard, a country did that for them. That particular country didn't want to upgrade from their ancient carry handle ARs to anything modern, including drop in rails to replace the clamshell handguard, and wanted a solution to that. That AccARizer was the solution for that contract. LaRue also just decided to make it available for anyone to buy as well if you REALLY wanted it.

    If you can find one, you should try the Troy Alpha rail. INCREDIBLY rigid, durable, and good-looking. Some even had a folding front sight incorporated into the rail. As far as scope mounts, GG&G makes a QD scope mount that is actually better than the Larue (I own several of both) and is half the price.
    EDIT: The C-Note was actually a good idea at one time. It was a "pistol" style blade sight that fit BATFE's effed-up pistol-brace worksheet. If that had gone through, a C-Note with tritium inserts would have been a big help towards keeping a "legal" braced pistol. As it turned out, it was a solution to a problem that we never had to deal with.

    I feel your pain, I have four or five of the ALG handguards becuse they are so great and have avoided the Geissele ones because they seem so big and goofy looking. My favorite grip for the AR is the Stark Industries SE-1 but they are getting harder to find, even straight from their own website sometimes, so I panic bought an extra four just in case. My problem also extends to vehicles because every car, truck, or van that I like or think looks good gets discontinued or they stop importation of them. Sometimes being a generalized NPC that goes with the status quo seems like such an easy tempting life, I just can't bring myself to do it.
