    Hi. I have this pedal arriving tomorrow, is it simply just plug it into my pc and I'm good to go or have I got to download or install stuff on my pc for the pedal to work. Thanks in advance

      Hello! You need to register to IK multimedia, download IK product manager and proceed with the video :) I said update (for existing tonex users like myself - my mistake), basically you have to install ToneX LE (version of tonex that you'll get with tonex one). Apart from that everything should work exactly the same.
      I'll pin this comment just in case anyone would have the same problem. Cheers!

      @@galtonestudio As I just posted in my comment, this video is a "must watch" tutorial, as the IK folks seem to not provide anything remotely helpful like this. I did find a link in the Product Manager's "Help" section called "Video Tutorial" and another called "FAQ" But when I click these -- NOTHING HAPPENS AT ALL. So. I have a very low opinion of IK's documentation at the present time. The TONEX ONE PRODUCT, however, seems very capable. Thanks for providing a video that helped me get things working -- at least to the point where I can start to use it -- load/edit/change preset choices, etc. Without your video, I would be soon returning the Tonex One to the vendor.

    This tutorial video is a true lifesaver for initial Tonex One users. This was my first pedal that required computer interface and the IK folks have done a really poor job of providing any sort of helpful context and a simple video like yours as a "jump-start". THANK YOU!! I was starting to feel very much like @benspeeds with his colorful comment added a month ago, and I am no stranger to computers or software, having spent 43 years in an engineering field -- enough time to be confident when judging this product documentation as NOT being user friendly. I was seriously considering returning this product until I watched your video. Well done.

    Great demo, it answered some of the questions I had about the pedal. I'm going to stick with the full size pedal, there's just a little less that you have to remember with the dedicated on board dials and such. If they ever come out with a Tonex with built in delays and modulation effects, they can take me money! I've also tried some of your captures, they're great! Thanks so much for sharing them.

    • @galtonestudio
      @galtonestudio  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks! :) I'm also waiting for a bigger version with even basic delay, but to be honest - One is great for me, mostly because I can take it anywhere and it's way more advanced than I expected (but it has it's limitations that may be a dealbreaker for some people).
      P.S. To be honest, navigating was kinda confusing but after a few hours they are actually quite easy to remember :)

    Hello again. So when the pedal isn’t plugged into the computer I cannot browse the 20 presets?. When using the pedal only I have a choice between 3 slots?

    • @steveinman1512
      @steveinman1512 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It looks like you typically can chose the A/B mode (2 slots) or stomp mode (on/off, one slot), except that this video shows a clever trick I was unaware of, that lets you access three slots instead of 2. I saw another video where they showed a somewhat cumbersome way to select from the 20 presets that can be stored in the Tonex One, but there is no display other than the colors of the 3 micro knobs to indicate what you are selecting -- that and your ears. So you would need to use some clever combination of the colors you assign to various patches, or a clever ordering of the 20 memory slots, as a mnemonic device, to help you find what you want. However, this procedure is a bit time consuming -- slower than simply stomping the foot switch.

    Hi, how do you connect your guitar an pc and set the audio settings to hear both what is on your computer and on the padel?

    • @steveinman1512
      @steveinman1512 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not certain yet, but this may be helpful: Once you download and install the Tonex SE software, you will find an icon in the upper right corner of the main display window (3 parallel, horizontal lines). When you click this, the pop-up window that appears has an "Audio Settings" tab that has options which appear to control these settings. I believe you can select "the right options" (whichever these are), then plug your guitar into your Tonex, and (hopefully), the sound will then come out of your PC speakers. Use good monitor speakers for better results.
      Good luck, and please reply back here if you find this to work for you, so others will know my guess is correct.

      Hello! Basically if you're using it on ipad, the only way is to use a ToneX app here (not the pedal). I made a video about that a while ago. A couple of things:
      - You need an audio interface that works with ipad --> irig or something similar.
      - You can't import TXP files into iPad. Only use tonenet tones or ik multimedia partner collections.

      I will have to check it since i'm not in a studio currently, but if i remember correctly if you create a folder and drag/drop preset from tonex one librarian to that folder on PC, those 'new presets will have a setting that you created on device. But I'd have to check it out to be sure, to be honest editing presets on tonex one is quite painful.
      To be honest the best way to edit presets right now since there's no real time editor (sigh) - is to basically use any audio interface, Use Line Out 1 or 2 to send signal from tonex to poweramp, FRFR or return of tube amp depending on setup, and edit presets in real time from PC (and later transfer them to tonex one). I'll probably make a video about it next week.

    Also. I can’t seem to figure out how to change settings on tonex and have it be real time. No matter what I do I can’t adjust anything. I can’t change reverb types or anything. Nothing goes to the pedal while being connected. Even though I can get preset amp changes to work

      Have you seen 5:00? As i said there's no real time editor in tonex, it makes no sense to edit presets with tonex plugged in to be honest. Check out my newest video about editing presets.

      I’ve seen other videos where they are controlling the pedal and tonex one in real time. I’m confused

    Does it connect to a regular usb port on a computer? Mine doesn't have usb c

      I don't have usb c port as well in my pc: ) You need a good quality usbC-usb cable, basically a Basic charger cable. Cheap ones (at least in my case) don't work, but most of good quality ones work ok :)

    Hi where do I get the tonex librarian that's in front of you. Is it an app I've no idea. Thanks

      @galtonestudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, in a standalone app there's a librarian tab - it will open once you plug your tonex one with usb C cable into PC.

      @@sootyfoot No, to be honest tonenet has a lot of great tones that you can download for free. I sell 3rd party packs of my presets, as well as many other people but they are not necessary. But I'd highly recommend downloading tones from ToneNet for free - they are WAY better than stock ones. Cheers!
