Sidewalk prophets, this song has me bawling my eyes out in thanksgiving to God!! I could picture the day I literally shook my fist at the sky, and then turned to my idol (a fictional character named Maximum Ride) for escape. I believed in God, and hated Him. Yet, a year and a half after I literally shook my fist at God, I finally heard Him called my name when I felt the deepest pain I've ever felt. This song took me back to those days, but this time, it was like God was showing me that He was right beside me through it all. He stood next to me (not up in the sky) as I shook my fist at Him. He was beside me, reaching for me, as I wept moments before surrendering my life to Him. He was with me every time my family turned against me. He was with me when I went into the foster home. He was with me even when I hated Him. I knew He was with me since I got saved, but to think He was with me even when I hated Him 😭😭😭 Yet now I know He was. He revealed it to me through this song. Thank you so much!!!

Wow! Your testimony is so very powerful! My family has been victimized by parental alienation. I am the targeted parent and my kids have been alienated against me. So many, even Christians, have told me to just give up on them. This is a reminder to keep showing unconditional love to my kids... no matter how they "shake their fists" at me. We the parent are the God- representative to our kids! Thank you for sharing!

Someone recently brought up my past and I have been beating myself up about it since. Then, the Holy Spirit directed me to this song..which has always been a favorite of mine. I have not actually sat down to listen to the lyrics, and I did wow talk about a revelation. He took me back to the night I finally left my sinful life...the exact spot..the bedroom, the mirror.. the pain I was in emotionally, me on my knees begging God to intervene in my life. And now I'm bawling over His love..how his love fixed someone as broken as me....and I didn't see then but I believe it now. Our God is soo good...

Found this song a week ago while I was crying about missing my dad 2 months ago. I lost my best friend that day. Great song to remind us , God is always with us.
I have never felt that God was far from me. I have felt that I was far from God but His mercies that never end and renew every morning are great along with His faithfulness. I heard this for the first time today and wrote down the name of it. I am now battling Cancer and feel like I don;t have any other medical avenues to cross. God be with all of us, all of the time!

It was in my deepest pain I heard you call my name. I have found this to be true.
This song touched me in a way that a song hasn’t in a very long time. I went through a very hard time in my life for a long time I was hurt angry didn’t know if I would make it through. The first time I heard this song it hit me like a truck I couldn’t see it then but I believe it now. The Lord never left me he was always there even when at times it seemed like he wasn’t. Whatever you’re going through sometimes you may feel completely hopeless but don’t give up he said I will never leave you nor forsake you yea I’ll go with you all the way even until the end of the world. I went through a bad time for over 7 years but he brought me out and I praise his name.

This song touches me deep, it helped me explain in words a tragedy that happened to me several years ago. I was never able to describe the feelings that I felt when my daughter passed away. But from the first line of this song I started crying and felt a weight come off of me. That day I shook my fist at God and was so angry for so long thinking God didn’t care. For your answer, look at the story of Job. Job lost everything, his family, his livelihood... He even lost his health. What did Job do to deserve this? Absolutely nothing. Good and bad rain down on the righteous and wicked alike Matthew 5:45. There are many reasons for someone having a hard time. A lot of the time it's because we live in a fallen world. This world is corrupted, that is why Jesus tells us not to collect treasure here but set our hearts on God's Kingdom. Pain here will only be a spec compared to eternity. We have hope that suffering will one day have an end. As for when we're here in suffering, it should be our goal to trust God has a plan through it and resist becoming bitter with God. Bad things don't happen because God is bad. Things on earth do not determine the goodness of God. It's a test of faith and God is an everpresent Helper in times of trouble. We just need to hold onto that hope and to grow deeper roots. As for the one who loves God, He will work everything out for the good and according to His plans Romans 8:28. If you're struggling, reach out to God and don't forget to be involved in a Bible believing church.
As for Job's story, God rewarded Job for not cursing Him. Job was rewarded twice as much as he had before his calamity. Whether or not we will be rewarded back while we're here or in eternity, you can trust God will reward those who are faithful through hard times.

My 2 year old nephew was diagnosed with cancer the day this song came out. I was talking with my boss about working the next day. I felt like the world just came crashing down. I felt like I would have been no use the next day and that I really just needed to take a day and step away from everything just to help myself try to understand or put into perspective this whole situation. As I was talking to my boss, I received a text message that said ‘Hey this is sidewalk prophets. We just released a new music video’ with a link to this video in the message. As soon as I was done talking with my boss, I clicked the link and I couldn’t help but cry. God has already been working. This video proved that, not that God needs to validate Himself, but sometimes we don’t realize how much He is there. I know I haven’t for a while. It’s definitely a wake up call.

Thank you for this song, I went through the longest valley when my dad was murdered then few years later my husband died suddenly, I thought God had forgotten me, or maybe I was not worth His love. The world called my name in this broken time. God didn’t give up on me He never forgot me He patiently waited for me to find my way back to Him. Does the past tragedy’s still hurt, yes, but I learned to chase after Him and not this world and in the times when it hurts He holds me tight He send me little reminders He’s there like this song ❤️

God bless you. I understand. My Mom's body was found floating in the Yellowstone River under suspicious circumstances. Someone had to have taken her there. Then, I lost my husband of 33 years to cancer from Agent Orange. My daughter turned to drugs. I'm raising my 2 grandchildren. The prodigal has returned with a new baby. She is potentially facing 8 years in prison for taking drugs. She was never a dealer, violent, or stole anything from anyone. She has repented and given her life to God. I pray the judge has mercy even though we've been told he will not. He never gives anyone a second chance. I know God is in control.

I’m not sure how I just came upon this song a few days ago. For some reason I cannot stop listening to it. The words are speaking to me and I can feel God revealing Himself through it. He’s telling me “I’m right here.” There have been plenty of times in my life where I doubted God and got angry at Him asking “God why are you doing this to me?” But now I see it’s all part of a great plan and God is by my side. I expected them to kill her since nearly every Christian movie I watch always kills the kid or the parents or the spouse. They literally wouldn't have a story without killing someone off & having those left behind lose their faith only to find it again. The movie makers believe all Christians just sit around believing God exists to keep them & everyone they love healthy & happy or else they'll stop serving Him, kind of odd to call Him LORD but decide your faithfulness to him is based on Him doing whatever you want & you only calling on Him when you need something & being angry when He doesn't give it right away, kind of pathetic really.

Friend, if you are reading this and you lost someone, and wonder why God didn't heal your family or loved one and they passed which is different to the outcome for this song. You say "Sapphira's Mama, why didn't Jesus heal them?" Let me ask you something? Maybe God did heal them, by bringing them home. If they lived here on earth, they may have suffered more. We don't have treatments for every disease or injury. We have come very far since the beginning of the medical revolution, but we can only do so much. Do you think the doctors do things alone? No, God helps them by giving them gifts and talents that help us today. Medication has come from God and I believe He does want us to use them. Sure we are meant to come to him first but then allow Him to guide us where we need to go. Just know that God loves you and that your loved one has been healed and pray that Jesu has come to them and that they accepted Christ
