I am from Australia.. Lived in Spain, Germany, France and Denmark.. Now living in the UK. London as a city is in my top 3 best ever major cities - along with Buenos Aires and Lisbon. But beyond cities, the UK is so much cooler, prettier and welcoming (long term, I mean) They may be more reserved to begin with but connections made are deeper and more real than any other country I've known. For example: lived in Atlanta, GA, USA for 14 months and had no lasting friendships. I have lived in Bristol, UK for 9 months and never want to leave!
I moved to London 7 years ago - There are over 3000 parks, it is 45% green space and regarded as the largest ''urban' forest in the world. There are 8 parks in London that are owned by the 'Crown', aka 'Royal Parks'. St.James and Hyde Park for me, are the least interesting.. if you ever come back - Visit Regent, Greenwich and MOST IMPORTANTLY.. Richmond Park! (Richmond Park is right by the filming location for Ted Lasso. And is an awesome town, generally!)
Ryanair is an Irish airline. The Ryanair "Harp" is a logo based on it's Irish beginnings. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, which is why the Harp is featured in the Royal Standard that you saw flying over Buckingham Palace. Hope you don't mind the history lesson! Oh, and over 70 Countries globally drive on the left, including India (the world's biggest, by population), Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia....I could go on, you get the idea! Fun vlog, by the way. Always enjoying seeing how visitors love our Capital 🙂
To walk from Big Ben to the Tower Bridge would be easily over an hour walk (at a leisurely pace!). I think people do not realise how big 'central' London is, never mind 'actual' London. To walk from West to East or North to South is on average 12-15 hours. London is nearly 4 x bigger than NYC. It is made up of 33 boroughs, 52 towns and 41 villages. 'Central London' is just 1 of the 'areas' largely consisting of 2 boroughs.
No we didn’t. Nothing to do with the Romans. It only became official in 1773 with the Government Highways Act, that was aimed at all horse drawn traffic and farmers “ to avoid nasty accidents”. It was incorporated into the highways Act of 1835 for all countries of the empire to adhere to, and that’s why India, Australia, New Zealand etc drive on the left. It is said we started to ride on the left in the medieval period, as most people were right handed, this kept your sword arm free for any potential muggers and robbers. Most Roman roads were just single track and you passed whoever you met on your travels on either side you chose.
Kills me that people pay so much for a diet coke when every newsagents or supermarket sell it for a little over a dollar. Those candy stores are a disgrace.
Nice girls to have in London. I didn't see you walking around - if I had known i could have given you girls some money saving tips, because we locals live at half the costs that you tourists pay.!! Never mind - hope you liked it - come back and spend more time with the money you'll save.!!

Richmond is the best of all. Herds of deer roam freely. Don't forget Wimbledon Common either. Just the other side of Richmond Park. 👍

Good spot, not many people realise our royal family is sponsored by Ryanair & Pringle golf wear.
Hi Julia happy Friday night and I enjoy your channel and you are amazing supporter
Just to let you girls know that building is not called big Ben, big Ben is the huge bell inside the tower

Hold your Fork in your Left Hand and your Knife in your Right Hand , the proper way. 👍
