Galezzo, I am American and notice instantly English is not your home language, BUT, I certainly tip my hat to your attention to detail in these songs. You are able to find the tiny nuances in harmony and pitch shift that only a tech looks for. GREAT JOB.
Please do not think I am criticizing. Record your speaking voice and listen to the way you say "Back again". You say "Beck again". If you can Iron out these tone inflections you would be awesome.

The vocals in this song have always mystified me. Taken each on their own, they are deceptively simple, almost one-note melodies all the way through but the way they intertwine is simply amazing and yet another token of the lads' arrangement skills.

Galeazzo, I just want you to know how much I enjoy your videos and tutorials! You really know every nuance about their harmonies. It has helped me as well as a drummer/singer understand harmony and to understand what the Beatles are actually singing and appreciate what tremendous vocalists they really were! You are very gifted my friend!

Great Galeazzo! Your work helps the whole world to understand the magic of the Beatles vocals.
I have myself a Beatles cover band here in Porto Alegre, Brazil caled Tri Beatles. Tri is from tribute. It is a peculiar band because the other members are a father and two sons.
thanks and keep doing your amazing videos. there are a lot of books showing the notes, but your work gives the chance too hear and fell the nuances and balance in a most efective way. congratulations!

I've always loved this song, the opening track from Rubber Soul, my favourite Fab 4 LP. But I never knew how to sing it, its so darn difficult. Its not in harmony but no doubt its all in tune...if you know what I mean. Amazing singers!

For many years I've really enjoyed singing Beatles to myself, out loud or under my breath. Don't have a good voice just try to hit the notes. Never could get them quite right and knew there other voices singing other notes, yet all combining to sound great. Do you just listen to them and are able separate them?

I think this is my favorite harmony breakdown so far, next to Sgt. Pepper. I find George's part is much more difficult in each song, perhaps he had a better understanding of how the music fits together? In each case, the complexity of these vocals highlights why the Beatles rolled over contemporary music in 1964. They are still innovative, 45 years after. Wonderful stuff.

Really good tuition and you get the Liverpool tone or inflection of the voices right too, great job!!
When I was in a local group back in the day we found that 'Please Please Me' was a good harmony for us beginners and Paul takes the harmony line which is not a difficult one, it's almost a one note harmony line until the middle 8.
Eight Days a week was another one, easy to play and sing at the same time (for me when I was on bass anyway)
    Keep up the good work!!

The lead harmony part in the verses is definitely John. Firstly, if you have a good ear, you can tell that it's John's voice and if anyone still have doubts, go read Mark Lewisohn's book The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions. It clearly stated that John sang the lead harmony and George sang harmony on certain parts here and there too. Drive My Car was recorded on 13 October 1965...

Great tutorial!! I've got a question though, at George's part "but you can do something in between" he's supposed to be singing the E note, right? Reason I ask is because, by paying close attention to the vid, it seems to be slightly off the E. Most precisely, somewhere in between E and F. Is that intentional?

i don't know if you knew this, but... well.. when you sing paul voice you look like all of your corporal energy go high, is comprensible, but is easier reach the note if you imagine that you're singing a lower note. in a mccartney concert of 1965 i think, when he reach the: yesterdaaay!!! on F note, he move all his head up, just like you do. But in a 80s concert.. i think, in that yesterday, he put his head like proyecting down, and it seems that he reach the note easier.

your beatles videos are always top shelf.
note on the original recording: i clearly recognize it as paul singing both vocals of the verses. john joins in the 4th line of the verses ("but i found a driver and that's a start"), and the chorus, including the beep beeps. (that said, the disgusting comments in the thread below about who sang what and which poster could be the biggest asshole, was a bore)

What is the sequence of recording. What track do you record first. Are you playing the guitar and singing at the same time.
