    This works greatly in combination with "Construction Lines". )

      @ComplexTagret 😁 You read my mind! There's also a different alternative but that's a topic for another video 😉

    I had a nifty addon called list, it list all the dimension i need and just copy paste to get the exact dimension of objects.

    Doesn’t blender have extrusion tools now? Can someone explain why I would want this? I’m asking because I am considering buying it but just not sure if it’s worth it or not?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Which extrusion tools do you mean? Normal extrusions are a destructive process, where as this is non-destructive, allowing you to modify what you have created way later in the creation process.
      Blender also has some similar features built in (I will link a video below) but they do not have anywhere close to the amount of options you have with Boxcutter in terms of the shapes created or the ability to get exact sizes.
      Here's the video to the alternative: th-cam.com/video/IISEitprNFg/w-d-xo.html
      And my Boxcutter playlist so you can see what it can do: th-cam.com/play/PLnqmLZKRm5CajsNlyFbieVyGxzdbBN-jo.html

    That's half of what I want to know. How do I start the cut from x mm from the top and x mm from the left (or reposition the start)? Thank you for helpful video.

      Just shootin' from the hip here, but I'm guessing we'd use the n panel and move the cutter. My 2 cents worth. Just learning BC myself.

      Knowing masterxeon if you were to mention it on one of his videos he would probably add it to the next version. I would love this too from a cad point of view. Just gotten to used to Blender’s good enough approach.

      @@paulthomann7911 I have done a bit of extruding edges over faces with Auto merge and Split edges and faces on as a cutter. Also snap to vertex point on for line direction. Sometimes Merge by distance when cuts are not made. But I only got it to work in x, y, z. Making holes with Phunchit add-on. Construction Lines works sometimed. Being able to have more control with Box Cutter would mean less cutting and less destructive workflow. Do you use similar tricks as I do?

      @@kennmacintosh2627 True. that should work, but a good way to do if, if there is any.

      There's a blender add-on called 'grid modeler'. I think it might be able to do the thing you're trying to describe here
