This is still my favorite board game of all time. I love the quicker game play and the mild dice mitigation. Thank you for making some new content for this classic game.
Another great video, thanks! In the first fight: You can't use grit to re-roll enemy dice, only to re-roll your own dice (I don't think you actually did it, but you talked about doing it). Also I think somebody already mentioned you need to distribute all your targeting (including Shootout) evenly among the characters. So at the end of Round 1 only one of the bad guys would target the Orphan. And at the start of the fight it should have been more evenly distributed (Henchman would be attacked at least once). Also they should have all been attacking from ranged with the Ambush, due to special rules for Shootout.
Yeah, Shootout ambush has the enemies targeting one player character from a distance, rather than up close and personal like normal ambush rules. I had one come up on a six person posse one time (six Bandits) and thought I was supposed to have one attacker on each, so they got spread out more than they should have
Yes that was intense. There is so much to remember, I think I'm going to do a checklist, adding to it as necessary. Can't wait for the next one. The camera angles and zoom work great.
Great video, really appreciate the care taken with the editing so that we can read the cards/text along. I've made more mistakes playing simpler games so it's perfectly understandable that you're going to make minor mistakes with the rules.
Nice vidéo, just a question about : -défenses roll. You need to defend each hit or wound? I usually defend each wound taked and not only the hit. -revive token reset all ammunition of gunslinger too, no? Thanks again for your video! I hope you will do some more.
Thanks! If you’re defending, you roll for each hit, then if you have armour you roll for each point of damage you’ve taken. I think you’re right about the gunslinger!
Thanks! It’s the Citadel Valhallan Blizzard technical - really like the way it looks but it’s not cheap and it seems to get used very fast (although his is a very big base)
Note that enemies with shootout are never placed adjacent to the heroes during an ambush attack. Roll for a random hero and place all the shootout enemies on that random heroes tile as far away from ant heroes as possible. Pp2 Colonel Scafford and the Scafford Gang (Ambushing)
53:10 does anybody understand why an Encounter was drawn here? the exploration token was Attack. i think Tom said an Encounter resulted from it being a flooded chamber, but i didn't see that printed anywhere. is that just a rule in Shadows (flooded chamber = encounter)?
Some of the tiles have advanced encounters attached to them and you can choose to have that specific encounter when you draw the tile as well as anything the exploration token said
I dont think i've ever rolled for the Depth Track while in the starter tile ever. I could have sworn it was skipped for that tile, (maybe im wrong). EDIT: I believe when you did voices from beyond encounter you rolled for both chars, you should only roll for the active 1st player as the card only had 1 player in white and not the group.

I love the story telling that the Scafford enemies more ran into you while running away from the Flesh Drones than it was a planned ambush. 😆
Was really looking forward to this one!!

Thanks! Yeah things really spun out of control for the heroes in the mines and for me on the table 😂
Great video! Love this playthrough

Thanks! Yeah it compounds and escalates with everything that comes out 😀
Ambushed soon as you walked into the Mine LOL
Barely stepped in there 😀
I'm so jealous. The scafford gang is one of the hardest enemy packs to get ahold of. Been looking for them for a long time
I was lucky that the set I bought second hand had some good stuff in it

Thanks for your response.
Really enjoying the series. Question; what did you base the Targa Pylon with to make the snow effect? Just started painting my minis.

Thanks! In this case I’d like to imagine them disguised as rocks the heroes chose to lean on 😀
While we are on the shootout rules, regarding targeting, the card says: Target a random Hero so, no double up until everyone gets one ;)
I think your Gunslinger could have taken a Grit, at around 25:00 when you were in the "catch your breath" phase
Thanks!
I'm hoping there are more episodes in the works? :D
Yup, every Sunday 🙂 there are at least 3 more!
Exciting stuff
what are those numbered token ? how can we get them? :)
They’re in one of the expansions, maybe Caverns of Cynder?
DO the new updated core box sets have resin or plastic miniatures
I think everything’s plastic unless it’s a promo character or one of the specialty figure from the Flying Frog webstore

I think it’s every turn! Either way it was funny to see it happen instantly 😀
