This means your hair is double processed and very weak, hence likely to break. A good stylist will simply do a strand test to see if your hair can handle further processing. Whereas with a curly perm it’s relaxing the hair then resetting the curl pattern of the hair to be curly then strengthening it again so it stays curly

But you will see massive breakage and damage. Processed hair can’t even be bleached twice in most cases. You can only bleach the new growth (roots). Perms are much more extreme than even bleach. Hair can only take so much. It’s why people with bleach blonde hair don’t get perms. So if that’s why she told you, I really hope you aren’t snatched bald by now. Or suffering from big chunks of breakage. But if your hair is virgin hair and has never been treated and you get perms spaced out in the proper manner I see no reason why your hair would break off. It will def be more damaged than if you didn’t treat it at all tho. Honestly that style of hair is so easily achievable with styling wands, even mousses. A perm is the most damaging thing you can do to your hair. Even if you can’t see the damage it’s there. But there shouldn’t be a problem as long as the hair hasn’t been color or bleach treated before. Regardless you do look great. Your happiness is what matters most. ❤️ everyone deserves to feel like they look great.

Unfortunately my perm only lasted for five days even though I followed the post-car instructions to a T 🥲😅 Felt like the money I spent would’ve been better spent on the Dyson Wave Wrap instead.
