- 2023 was a fantastic year for Hindi cinema. Many movies were massively successful and celebrated by audiences, including Jawan, Pathaan, Animal, Gadar 2, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. However, amidst these popular films, there were some that stayed underrated and ignored by the majority of audiences. These films also deserve attention, so I have listed down the 8 most underrated and overlooked films of 2023.

I was able to watch three of us and there were only three people in this theatre. It was an immersive experience, it felt like living in someone's dream of past and nostalgia. Each frame felt like a reminisce of a dream unforgettable.
It feels so great when you realise you have been able to watch those films who didn't made much noise in markets but their craft in it and writing of it is so mind blowing

Film companion is dishonest. It invited Bobby deol who has a 6 min role in a film close to 4 hours, for the annual ADA interviews, therefore promoting mediocrity and then says XYZ is underrated and doesn’t promote it. Idiots

I don't think Bas ek bandaa was underrated...... This film received much much appreciation due to which it was re released in cinema halls .
How does no one talk about kastoori, do underrated movies need to have big names to be underrated? Kastoori is so artistic and touching and one of the best films of 2023
I watched Three of us back to back with Celine Song's Past Lives, and as nain ghat ghatatan started to play, I felt this sudden surge of calmness sweep over me; calm yet a sense of urgency, somewhat warm - somewhere an impending feel of days that have passed by me, moments I seem to be reminded of when I see something, smell something familiar from a time long gone. And it felt like the closure the affection portrayed here, well, only a few lucky ones ever get to experience it in one's lifetime. Absolute masterpiece. It felt, complete.
Manoj Bajpayee"s performance in Joram is a masterpiece ... every film enthusiast should watch Joram ..

* Three of us * a visual poetry on celluloid, such a simple story short on real locations with top notch performances backed by good direction.
These movies do not get enough screens that is a major problem. In a age when ease of goods delivery is increasing day by day you can not expect general public to go out of the way and put extra effort to watch a film. Take 12th fail as an example without a huge star cast it became a success because with good word of mouth there was an ease for the audience to watch the movie it was screening in nearby theatres and had multiple show timings this helped the film to capture audience.

Killa is my all time fav movie. During college days on last paper everyone use to pack bags and go to Konkan. Good old days non commercialized Konkan. Shared bike rides, rent maadi, only 1 fish thali.

I think Kuttey, Mission majnu, Faraaz, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, Chor nikal ke bhaga, IB 71, Tarla, Ghoomar, Jaane Jaan, Mission raniganj, Pippa, Apurva were also good. But underappreciated.

Sadly I missed all of 8 movies you listed, because I live in Tyre 2 city with only 1 Multiplex (Inox).

8am wali movie jaisa consept kuch kuch amol palekar ki movie baton baton me jesi hai jisme amol aur Tina ke carecter 9:10 ki local train me milte hai and after that they fellin love which is very nice movie

common bheed was 1 & half hour disappointment. feels like there's was not enough to tell so they just extended the screen play to complete the movie

The makers of this film dont promote there movie that's the problem.. People want to see good cinema otherwise.
People supported bad movie like animal and rejected Sam bahadur. So it's a proof that they don't want to watch good movies.
Put "The Great Indian Family" into the list.....
Sukkhi released parallel was also a good film in bits and pieces.

three of us is released in theatres nov 23. It is premiered at the International Film Festival on November 24, 2022. It is still running in theatres with 1-2 running shows. U can give it a try. It's a very beautiful film.

Animal is most negative movie of the year. All of the mentioned movies in this video show human spirit keeping live even in middle of crisis. The triumph of good over evil which is a positive thing
