- "Growing up, I never really saw images of women that looked like me in the surf world.
To the Shaka Surf Club, my main goal is to make surfing accessible to kids from lesser privileged backgrounds and encourage young girls especially to start surfing while also raising environmental awareness.
I hope to inspire the next generation to love the ocean as much as I do and show them anything is possible."
These girls are very brave to challege gender stereotypes in their conservative patriarchal Indian society. Take care of each other, and wishing you all an ocean of strength! 🌊
