Hey, Bengal I've been a fan and a subscriber for a long time and I just wanted to say that I really respect your football analysis, and I love watching your vids. Something I would like to see you try is a long-form video where you do an offseason for every team. Essentially you put yourself in the role of GM for every team and for example, say what 2 or 3 free agents you would go after given their cap situation and key guys to resign. Also what you would do in the first round of the draft like what 2 or 3 guys you would try to target at their draft position, or if you would trade back/up and who you would pick then. But basically, if you were given that job what would you do. Keep grinding man, I hope you have continued success in the future, and I wish you nothing but the best.
@@bradleyalthauslike he said tho the difference between drafting oline 1st round and drafting oline 2nd or 3rd is basically nothing. Elite heisman-worthy RB falls right in your lap at that point
As a Giants fan, I'm actually ok with this. Don't reach on qb we're gonna suck anyway next year. Might as well build the offense up for whatever qb we have going forward.
Brett from Bootleg Football brought up a specific but interesting stat. When Mahomes tackles lose their matchups and lose early, Mahomes is statistically a bad QB. Now it’s still Mahomes but that just shows no matter who your QB is, you need to improve offensive tackle.
Jeanty to Chicago to replace Swift feels the exact same as the Lions taking Gibbs to replace Swift 😅. Ben Johnson must hate the guy cuz damn he ain’t even that bad 😂
@@KoltonHodges-mr2tx they're very similar players so at that point it'd be jeanty and they'd either have him be their every down back or they'd find another guy who offers a different strength, such as the Monty/Gibbs backfield. Jeanty would be their "Gibbs" then the Bears just need to find their "Monty."
@@Ali-wi8bx I think Jeanty is more comparable to Montgomery (++) and I would a lot Swift into more of an outside run / pass catching role. Weight the timeshare more heavily toward Jeanty.
I think one move I haven't seen that often is Patriots taking Mason Graham at 4. They do need offensive help but their defensive line was terrible and Vrabel loves having strong DTs with Jeffery Simmons over at Tennessee.
Yeah it honestly seems close to a no brainer pick to me if Carter is gone but I never even hear him get mentioned. I also agree that hes a guy Vrabel would love
@Bengal I just look at the draft picks at Oline Texans draft well, but not at Tackle or gaurd, so that's why I'd go FA save top picks for other positions
As a packers fan I don’t hate Josh Simmons pick. If they let Josh Myers walk they might slide Jenkins to Center and it opens a guard spot. They can either put Simmons there for a year until Rasheed Walker’s contract is up or push Walker into guard
With the Ben Johnson hire it's 100% confirmed the Bears are taking Ashton Jeanty if he's available. BJ's gonna wanna start right where he left off with a dominant run game. Ashton Jeanty is the perfect pick for him. I can guarantee this pick if he's available.
37:10 I think the Vikings are actually likely to trade down to acquire more picks as they only have 3-4 picks in the draft, obviously depending on who is available at 24.
For hawks, OT that plays guard that can be OT when Abe Lucas probably medically retires is best bet. However, I could see them going D line again. Js always surprises and is unpredictable. I could see grant tbh
As a Chiefs fan, I'd rather sign a vet or give Kingsley more of a shot next year. I'd take interior D line or take CB as Watson & Williams will be FAs after next season. The secondary didn't look the same after Watson got hurt, so improving there is always a smart idea (they were looking at Deonte Banks 2 years ago).
As a chiefs fan what I want in the first is BPA between CB, OT, and anything on the D-line. Just feels like the only first round worthy OT would be better got in the second and third, bc from what I’ve heard most of the tackles in this class are looking to be future guards which is cool and all but I’d rather try and get something else if the tackle we go for is likely gonna end up on the interior when I think preparing our defense for losses would be a better move. I don’t scout or dive into the tape as much as you or anyone else who truly does tho so I’m gonna trust whatever happens on draft night regardless.
Hey Bengal as a totally non biased Seahawks fan I did a mock and had Abdul Carter falling to 18 and we take him hopefully you can make this work in your next draft thanks
i could see the chargers going edge with how bad they were in important games. Like Mack should only be on the roster as a leader his body cant handle it anymore, Tuli has been mid down the stretch 2 years in a row, bud is the definition of JAG, and Bosa should hang up the cleats
like the jalon walker to panthers pick, curious how evero uses him in his system to maximize his versatility. would also be a fan of starks at that spot too considering panthers safety room is gonna be non existent going into the off season and love his versatility on the back end also. great video nonetheless
Thats true and tackle I geuss isent bad especially since walker stuggles with the faster guys, but we need corner help so bad. I don't see us taking offensive line in the first round in back to back drafts
Like the jets pick but think starks is actually a option with Glenn seeming to be the likely coach his defense loves safety and we are losing 3 who are average to agency
If I’m the giants GM and coach I’m taking a QB. If they don’t take one and are in a position to take an arch manning next year they’ll be fired anyway. At least by taking sanders you can maybe ensure you have a job for a couple more seasons.
If Campbell is their at 12 for dallas and Jeanty is gone i think i'd take Campbell over a receiver. Zack Martin is probably retiring so dallas could use a Guard, hopefully they get a receiver in free agency
I completely disagree out the tackle position being 2nd round at best. Campbell, banks, and Simmons are all worthy of a top draft pick. And to say that tackles aren’t normally a top draft pick is crazy, that’s insanely false. Vrabel is gonna want trenches
hey bengal remember when jack sawyer strip sacked quinn ewers and returned it 83 yards for a touchdown to end texas’s season😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹 any way this isn’t raiders franchise
If the panthers take walker with the 8th im gonna lose my mind... especially if james pearce is literally sitting RIGHT THERE (compare walker to luvu... why not pearce to Brian Burns?????)
While I kind of understand your thinking about the OT's, you keep mentioning value. Well way too many teams need tackles/guards and the odds of the so called value will disappear really quickly. The draft is way deeper on dline. The top guys will not drop which will then have teams in the mid to end of the 1st grabbing guys like conerly. So the teams you think could get value in rnd 2 are now stuck without a major position of need. Banks is a perfect example. There at least 3 teams in the top 10 that would take him in a second. Baltimore. Detroit, KC, ALL need o-linemen. Those are just the later teams. Yes some teams can improve oline in FA but the value is not really there this year. Now with that said, I love the Niners pick in Pierce. That kid looks special.
The right thing for the Giants to do is to pass on Shedeur, but how could Schoen and Daboll do that knowing they’re on their last legs? You think they’ll bet their jobs on Jalen Milroe or Jaxson Dart?
Bengal who do you suggest we select in the 2nd if you think we should pass on QB with the 3rd overall pick? I just think it’s unrealistic to pass on the top 2 at 3 I get you don’t like the options but you gotta come to terms with it man. Makes the mock drafts unrealistic
Is the gap between Ashton Jeanty and say TreVeyon Henderson really that big, most the best RB's are found in middle rounds. I just don't think you pass on Will Campbell or even James Pearce Jr. there even if you load up on OL in FA. The Bears don't need OT that bad, its more the depth that's worrisome, but Will Campbell can be an impact IOL day 1.
