I like how you are teaching them the proper names of the food, some Filipino restaurants try to use English names like "filipino egg roll" or "filipino noodles" instead of pancit and lumpia to try to cater to nonFilipino audience but notice how other cultures do not whitewash their food names. You are an ambassador to Filipino culture!
Agree po. They keep the names as is, so nice to hear soldiers say Bistek, Lechon Kawali and Daing na Bangus hehe .. That way, non-Filipinos are introduced and now aware and enjoying other delicious Pinoy dishes aside from the usual Adobo, Pancit and Lumpia.

If you’re a business yiu do what you have to. “WhitewAshing”. Is that a racist term against white people? Actual many cultures change their cousine to suit the cultures they operate in. Chinese food tastes different in Germany, USA and Saudi Arabia. Even Mexican food in the USA is different in California, Texas or Arizona. It definitely tastes and is different in Mexico. This purity that you’re so proud of is actually changed according to local tastes, as it should be.

Exactly my thoughts. I hate to hear fellow Pinoys whitewashing our Filipino dishes like dinuguan (chocolate soup) etc which is stupid and doesn't help promoting our native dishes. Other nationalities never did that precisely why their dishes easily became globally famous like sushi, padthai, pho etc. 👍👍👍

Pag ganyan kabili pinipilahan aba eh yayaman tayo diyan kabayan. Di tulad ng mga ibang Pinoy business kapag sikat na ay nagbabago ang quality at quantity, minamadali at kumokonti ang bigay gusto lang kumita, hanggang simula lang pala. Keep it up basta panatilihin ang masarap na luto at magandang serbisyo at tayo ay aasenso. 👍
totoo yan.. yung isang kainan na kung saan naging suki ako dati ay noong una madami at masarap ang servings nila lalo sa pancit, noong dumami kostomer nila, aba biruin mo, kumonti ang serve at yung luto nila ay di na gaya ng dati.
Sinabi ko sa may ari na kung pwede ibalik ang dati pero aniya, nagmahal na daw ang bilihin at mukhang ayaw niya yung sinabi ko. yung ibang mga kostomer niya gaya ko, nawala na rin.

@@junomarapao1906 di n daw kac gaya ng dati yung luto. Baka nag-iba yung lasa ng putahe kaya sinabi niya yung "di na gaya ng dati yung luto". Understandable naman yung kumonti yung serving kac nagmamahal ung bilihin pero yung lasa o quality ng luto kac. Sabagay nagmamahal din yung ibang ingredients na ginagamit para mas mapasarap ung pagkain.

Actually yung "scum" ay di naman dumi, kundi ay namuong protein (protein build up) which is pretty clean naman. Tinatanggal yun para maging malinaw ang sabaw pero pwede din namang di na tanggalin. Nice video po!

You remind of my mom's friend, her cookings were so good. My favorites of her cooking were Pancit Canton (not the instant noodles) with lots of pork livers on top and her Bistek recipe with lots of fresh onions on top.
Sadly she passed away last year because of breast cancer. She treated it long time ago and it came back last year and she didn't make it. I missed her. I missed her cooking.
I'm sorry for her lost but hey why don't you try to learn it (cooking) in memory of her🤗❗ search it in TH-cam on how or ask a Filipino friend

Dapat binabawasan yong oil sa ibabaw ng sauce. Peanut oil ay delikado rin yan. Mataas din ang saturated fat niyan. Ang problema talaga sa Filipino food ay malangis (oily), maalat(salty) at mataas ang carbohydrates. Santambak na kanin kasi ang kailangan mo para malunod mo yong alat at langis(oil) ng ulam. Ang resulta, high blood pressure, kidney disease at saka kung ano-anong sakit sa puso.
Ganyan talaga, kasi nasanayan na. Dun na magbabago kapag na stroke na 🤣
Yan din rason kaya most foreigners ay nandidiri sa pagkaing pinoy. Real talk. 😂
