when a veichel is destroyed, roll D6 for explosion and resolve explosion, disembarkation of models 3", any model that cant be placed are destroyed, remove models which cant be placed, remove the veirchel, roll D6 for each model that got out and on a 1 regardless of wounds it is slain not through damage but removed.

This is a casual AF game. Casual 40k is the way to do it, but this is maybe just a LITTLE more casual than I would play.
Weirdly, Lewis and Alex both almost seem to know the rules equally well.
Lewis is new, but THIS is the edition he knows.
Alex is a veteran, and he's got classic veteran-itis, where he's got the rules from so many editions marbled together in his brain that they're hard to keep straight.
As a Necron player, I'm actually surprised by how well Lewis is doing.
That Ghost Ark and those Warriors did some major damage.
The Stalker getting a 1-shot kill against that Venom....
Frankly, it's a good thing Lewis is wiping out the ground troops first, because if he was wasting a ton of firepower shooting at Flyers he wouldn't be making this big of a dent, and Alex would still have a crapload of dudes to shoot and assault on his turn.
TEC Personally I’d be more impressed if Lewis actually read the stats for his guys. The amount of shots against his lychguard that shouldn’t have wounded, but did, is ridiculous (Lychguard being toughness 5 not 4...). I know it’s kinda petty, and he’s new, but at least learn your own army!

Also he has not discovered the disgusting Necron shenans that is Tesla with bonuses to hit. Make your dudes Sautekh for the stratagem that gives your dudes +1 to hit a wounded enemy that turn, plus My Will Be Done for another +1 to hit, and that makes your Tesla Immortals hitting on 1+, with anything 4+ triggering Tesla for 2 bonus hits. You will with maths on your side hit with 250% more shots with EVERY unit of Immortals.
Mephrit is better.
Mephrit Tesla + MWBD + Targeting Relay + Talent For Annihilation = an absolute shitload of AP-1 Tesla shots.
Since you likely only have 1 Stalker and 1 Overlord handing out those buffs, you're better off with 1 squad of Tesla Immortals getting all the buffs, and then the rest of your Troops being Gauss Immortals that can passively hit AP-3, or a shitload of Warriors that can hit AP-2.
(Warriors are actually statistically the best in most cases.)
Putrefax I’m almost 100% sure the lowest you can roll to hit is a 2+. Nothing in the game can auto-hit. Same goes for the negative modifiers, the worst you can roll to hit is a 6, even if the modifiers bring it to a 7+ or 8+. So the immortals would be hitting on a 2+, plus one to wound for the strat, and if a lord is with them, re-rolling 1’s to wound. That’s about as good as it gets.
This is fucking epic, and to me it's what wargaming is all about! Yeah they make mistakes and do things in a funny order, but it's a good friendly game, very little tryharding and saltiness. Love watching it :)
I'm happy that this round we get to see both sides do their awesome things and not just be trampled by the other side

He's a newbie. But tbh he's been rolling decently while Alex has been rolling bad. Wouldn't make much difference.

Illusionz Mirage he rolled two misses and only said he got one miss. 25:01 shows all the dice.
he just didn't notice I think, tbf made no difference as he had spare wounds anyway.

Yeah, people seem to forget that speed rolling is not how things are done by default, but something you do when rolling one or several at a time *doesn't* matter.

Damage doesn't carry over unless it specifically states. So 2 damage against a wounded licheguard would just over kill it by 1 that wound does not carry over onto another model in the squad.

Huh, strangely loving this series. Although Im a huge WH40K fan I wasn't surr about the actual game. This is pretty good so far (especially now I know the rules ,well I think) and Im loving the little jokes and battles. Keep these coming!
8th edition is definitely the easiest edition to get into the game.
The rules aren't perfect, but they're so easy to learn that they're borderline self-explanatory.
I come from the earlier editions where we had to genuinely learn hundreds of pages of stuff to really know how to play.....

I'm certain that Alex is forgetting about his power from paint abilities, specifically ignoring damage on a 6 with his non-vehicle dudes. Oh well, still a fun video to watch.
