2H is basically a negative response, so you don't need five for a jump.
However, on the hand he had, responding 1NT shows cards and he could show Hearts later if the auction continues.
But, Kaplan, playing with Kay, jumped to 3H against us on Axx xxxx AJxx xx a NYC regional and no one commented at all.

Indeed not. Thanks for pointing that out, Daniel. I'm a bit of a noob with Google Forms. I have looked at the settings but can't see how to change it to 'read only'. Any advice gratefully received.

Is 2C keeping strong opponents out of the auction these days. I'm glad to be playing poker these days, doesn't sound like bridge is fun anymore

Question. If you regularly play 5 card pre-empts should partner alert ?

It's an interesting one, Steve. I'm not sure of the rules, but it seems like that would be best practice.

If you're Zach you're just going to be the best player in many, many rooms, so it makes sense to reduce variance and not go for the 5 card preempts, but IMO they're very good in plenty of situations

After you spotted the editing error (many thanks for alerting me) I had no choice but to take the video down, fix and re-post :( I really need a proof watcher - it becomes very hard to see what's actually in front of you after a while when editing these so thanks again for picking up on it so quickly.
